In the new Saw movie, Jigsaw will be the hero and emotional center of the film. Is this a good or bad move for JigC?

Would a dead Jigsaw have a new movie coming out?

A courtroom drama in which they attempt to prosecute him posthumously in order to acquire reparations from his estate. Horrifyingly, the effort proves futile, and the final scene shows the haunted judge sitting in his private chamber, contemplating the copycats his decision may have encouraged.

Engagement is depressed for two reasons. 1.) Many, if not most, people are afraid of Jigsaw. 2.) The people who are not enjoy MC content.

Its basically come full circle in terms of being The Abominable Dr. Phibes. People like Phibes, so its not impossible to sympathize with Jigsaw.

Phibes is basically 70's era Saw, especially in the second movie. Not all traps are able to be gotten out of, but the ones that are deeply resemble saw traps. Best example is the last attempted murder in the first film. Surgery with a tiny key next to a precarious location with a deathly time limit.

I'd say it depends upon how likablr/understandable Jigsaw is. Getting fricked over with cancer treatments definately is a good motivation.

Though Phibes has almost an unblemished killstreak and only goes out on his terms, only to defy death for the sequel.

Do people generally agree with JigC's moral code at this point? Is the issue simply that the means go to far in an attempt to reach the ends?

Because you can't empathise with people who think differently from you and refuse to accept their humanity.

Isn't that a big part of what's wrong with society these days? And even worse, many people doing this make "empathy" a part of their fake personalities?

    >Hello, Mitch. You've admitted to selling a boy a motorcycle. But you have not told the entire story, have you? $600 for a bike that you listed in excellent condition. Even though you knew the brakes were faulty. You took his 600 bucks and, in return, you delivered him to his end. He was my nephew, and he never hurt anyone. The device you see here has a unique power source. It's the same engine that graced the bike you sold my nephew. However, I assure you, the brake lever for this one works perfectly. Avoid the dangers around you, hit the motorcycle brake handle and the motor will stop. Live or die, Mitch. The choice is yours.

    >All this, while never having ridden a bike or interacted with biker "culture" in your personal life, even once.

Find it funny that if they had simply never made Jigsaw have cancer these movies would be much more Coherent and probably better. Instead we get endless Saw sequels about how some guy jigsaw met in preschool is now the 7th copycat killer.

That being said Saw 1 is actually a well made thriller and 2 is pretty good as well from what i remember. The rest are worth forgetting about and i genuinely think this series got flanderized badly in terms of theme and plot.

But if Jigsaw wasn't sick what would be his motivation? What would be his inciting incident? Without being sick he might just as well have been a person using his engineering skills to help solve problems in the township or serving on the city council. Not saying he would go full fledged Not Just Bikes nu-urban planning on us or start whining about stroads or whatever, but it's clear that his terminal illness played a huge role in his motivations.

The Saw crossover threads are post political with an understanding that the best political solution the average person can hope for is a minimization of friction. We want the most pleasing Saw movie in the same way that we want the most pleasing, least disruptive politics.
