I'm not saying he doesn't exploit the system, because he may actually does, but I think it's also important to state that the series is inherently compelling without the viewer needing to be that involved to understand the scenario. The conflict is simple and obvious and the Spy vs Spy dynamic means it won't get too tiring. Also, the series is almost entirely reliant on physical actions so practically anyone, everywhere can understand it.

Specifically the Pilot leaves a bad taste in some peoples mouths, so apply the 3 episode rule.
Murder Drones is one of those shows that make more sense the more you rewatch it and read between the lines. A good chunk of the plot is explained by what isn't outright said, or by freeze-frame moments that get elaborated on later.

NTA but I'm in the same boat. I think it's the association with the kiddy corner of youtube, which has already been rife with bizarre cartoons with potential secondary nefarious intentions like the elsagate crap, but also how it's somehow made its way onto this website and is being talked about and praised by adults despite having no substance an adult could enjoy.
It blew up overnight one day out of nowhere, which these days could suggest astroturf or shenanigans. Then again, so did amongus...
I can't speak for everyone but personally I think the toilet head thing looks creepy. I love gmod shitpost videos and still watch them to this day, but skibi toilet is uncanny for some reason which probably doesn't help it.
Also, logically speaking, if someone wanted to spread mind control then a viral internet meme is the fastest way to do it. People have written creepypastas with this concept for years. Same reason Cinemaphile hates AI so much, dystopian sci-fi novels with that concept have been written for years. What may be a silly story to some is a warning for others.

I find Skibidi Toilet's immense pull fascinating. It's basically just fairly typical early 2010s Garry's Mod humor that was somehow picked up by places like TikTok and absolutely exploded with today's kids. DafaqBoom really won the algorhythmic lottery and I guess all you can say to him is good job dude. That the videos also ended up having "lore" as well was the cherry on top.

Okay? "Is it popular" isn't the issue. Liam Vickers, Cooper Goodwin, and Tracy Butler are pretty serious animation professionals that have created superb things from scratch. Dafuq doesn't fit in. He's shown enough raw talent that he should definitely be given a shot making stuff that's more than just playing with Halflife models and making them glitch in funny ways, but he would still stand out like a sore thumb in this crowd.
