>lets fix our weakest character by copying guardians of the galaxy >no we're not getting the same writer, we have to use a full on reddit homosexual >okay, ragnarok did well, now just let the reddit homosexual completely loose from his cage
and then the worst marvel movie came out. love and thunder is legitimately much worse than even thor 1 and 2.
at the very least, they made some move to fix thor instead of none at all. what they should have done instead is just officially slot him into the guardians, he would naturally take the place that adam warlock does on the comics team, its a prebuilt dynamic, with a good writer.
She does this for ten minutes and the blending is a little off big deal. Better than standing there and waving her hands around flinging blades at everything like they'd do now.
Endgame was moronic, the story should have ended in Infinity War. Endgame's plot is moronic, the villain achieves his goal but to make a new movie they just go back in time to kill him before he does it... stupid.
for me it's iron man 1, cap 1 and 2, civil war. the rest are a gigantic meh. oh and i liker guardians of the galaxy 1, felt kind of like dimestore star wars
Fine I'll give you that. But the award for best marvel movie trailer goes to Age of Ultron.
I mean the movie itself was hot garbage but the guy in charge of the putting the trailer together sure did trick us all into buying a ticket. Seriously though how do you frick up with James Spader as your main villain? That should be a free win right there.
>old popular or widely known song performed in super slow mo for drama
Happy that trend fricking died. What did it? The Resident Evil movie using the He-Man meme song?
>remember when and where I was when this trailer dropped >remember watching it over and over, feeling the hype >remember tracking down every scrap of info about the film that I can >can't remember my actual impression of the film itself after watching it for the first time

you guys are a bunch of homosexuals, this trailer is a perfectly accurate representation of the movie, which was overall pretty good. people only hated it because it was different from the first Avengers movie which everyone jizzed their pants over. literally nothing could have measured up to the unrealistic expectations you nerds had for Age of Ultron, and because you're eternal manbabies you still haven't let it go a fricking decade later.
Age of Ultron was barely mid Anon. This is a hard fact. Fighting hordes of replaceable robots is NEVER entertaining to watch and always feels hollow empty and boring. Even in videogames. Fighting hordes of robots is dull.
The singular Ultron should have had a near indestructable body with him fucing shit up on multiplele fronts through the internet. Not with a horde of boring junk robot mooks for the Avengers to fight for a half an hour.
they do the exact same shit in every marvel movie though, the heroes always fight a bunch of random robots or monsters or aliens for a while. they literally did the same thing in the first Avengers movie with the aliens. And in infinity war with the aliens. And in Endgame with the aliens. And in the iron man movies with robots. and in the Thor movies with monsters. Age of Ultron is no different than any other marvel movie in pretty much every way.
capeshit always comes up with a reason to have the heroes fight dozens of anything but humans so there can be more fight scenes but without the heroes killing anyone.
batman, daredevil & punisher are good in this regard because they only fight humans
Good trailer almost makes u think someone can recut the film into kino if they had time.
>remember when and where I was when this trailer dropped >remember watching it over and over, feeling the hype >remember tracking down every scrap of info about the film that I can >can't remember my actual impression of the film itself after watching it for the first time

I loved Ultron as a kid, but one day I decided his design sucked. He looked goofy. Nowadays I look at guys like Brainiac and realize how cool Ultron's look actually is. Brainiac doesn't even look like a machine. Ultron does.
so, honest question: what differs between the trailer and movie? I don't remember the film well, I only saw it once, but I remember the hulk vs iron man scene in the film, and it was in this trailer. I'm hearing everyone say this was great but the movie sucksd. How so?
I can understand him quipping since he was based on MCU Tony Stark, but if he acted more like Tony's Joker he could have worked.
Tony Stark has humor along with morality, Ultron would have humor with no morality.
I wish the hulkbuster scene was 5 minutes longer, I wish it dragged on and was agony and painful to watch and it felt futile till a better solution stopped hulk, maybe wanda herself too.
>Hulk gets beaten by Tony Stark in a suit
This was where it all went wrong. I don't care if Bruce Banner designed it, a rampaging Hulk should not be beaten by a suit.
right? being punched in the face over and over does it? How about.....literally anything else. Radiation, asgard energy, something besides just a punch to the face, it's so dumb.
right? being punched in the face over and over does it? How about.....literally anything else. Radiation, asgard energy, something besides just a punch to the face, it's so dumb.
Don't forget, Tony was quipping "Go to sleep" on spam mode, so that helped
I feel like the last good movie they made was that. It felt very SOVLful >male gaze >Captain America goody two shoes and explicitly Christian despite recent events >all of the quips are mostly lame but not offensively bad and charming in their way >great ending
I feel like civil war was when they went into full slop mode. Ant Man was the last Marvel shit I could excuse as a movie.
IW is is best movie in the franchise and the only good movie since then was No Way Home. The rest have been various levels of shit. Every single one of them. Even the one's you say are the exception.
it would have been kino, if it was more centered on thor, remove the fricking jokes and quips, everysingle one
make it more apocalyptic. the gladiator thing was very underwhelming
>Infinity War is Marvels best movie. >This is not up for debate.
IW was the LAST good MCU movie, I'll agree to that...but the best ever? No way...
Iron Man >Good, we need more variety aside from a few ('meh') X-men movies at the time. Ultimate Nick Fury mentions Avengers and we all lose our collective shit.
The Incredible Hulk >Okay, better than the Ang Lee one. RDJ cameo establishing fan servicing.
Iron Man 2 >Good, Black Widow, War Machine, more Avengers breadcrumbing.
Thor >Good attempt to turn Shakespeare into capeshit. Brannagh, Hopkins, dicky hershslag.
Captain America: The First Avenger >Best MCU movie ever. 100% loyal to source material. 'Rocketeer' director knew what he was doing.
The Avengers >The impossible made possible, if you knew during the 90s how all the movie rights were scattered after Marvel Comic's constant bankruptcies selling those rights to any random person with money. No one thought it was possible ever.
Iron Man 3 >meh, okay, their first controversial mistake with screwing up the Mandarin.
Thor: Dark World >meh, okay, it's one of the worst pre-Endgame MCU films. but that has nothing to do with why MCU sucks now. Just poor decision making, imo.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier >The other best MCU movie.
Guardians of the Galaxy >Surprisingly good movie, unique style at the time, great cast, good balance of emotions, surprise underdog IP that no one cared about until this movie. .....BUT!...
[...] ><< Here is where the MCU jumped the shark, you really do start to see how the quality of the MCU starts to wane from this point>>
Avengers: Age of Ultron >Disney believe they crack the code with GotG and started making light-hearted superhero romps, which contradicted what Whedon was trying to do, and that got him fired in the end. One can notice the seams in editing where Whedon starts, and Disney ends; and you can tell who was at fault for what.
Ant-Man >Light-hearted superhero romp, formulaic of GotG despite funny Rudd being Rudd in a costume. Pushing quirky, with a smidge of seriousness, and boring run-of-the-mill actions scenes. But still Rudd is funny, so it's another Paul Rudd thinking he's in another Apatow movie.
Captain America: Civil War >Good movie, but make no mistake this movie was created by focus groups, the editing proves how jarring the tone is,... 'who actually made this movie?"
Doctor Strange >Nice trippy SFX, but another wacky lighted hearted superhero romp, like Ant-Man...hardly original to begin with.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 >Good movie, not as good as the first. But no one is the wiser to the standard formula that Disney expects.
Spider-Man: Homecoming >AND another light-hearted superhero romp, on Sony's dime.
Thor; Ragnarok >AND another light-hearted superhero romp. A successful movie because it leans in with Gunn's formula, with Waititi taking it further with his comedic pacing.
Black Panther >AND another light-hearted superhero romp (With an extra ingredient of woke-shit; which becomes a more of a mainstay addition to the GotG formula)
Avengers: Infinity War >Good movie, bringing together 10 years of plot threads running through all the other 20-something movies before. This is what people wanted, and I'm sure at the time, they wanted to be carefull handling this movie with a more serious tone, since they were going for the "Empire Strikes Back" downer ending, and not use it as a platform for light-hearted woke-shit that inteded later on.
Karen Mary-Sue >AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (Girlboss movie for sure. Reminder it only made money because it was sandwiched between IW and EG with the audience expectation that it would have something to do with Thanos....also, Disney buys their own tickets)
Ant-Man and the Wasp >AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (so who's movie is this? Certainly not S.o.i.boi Rudd's Ant-man, but girlboss' Wasp and Ghost being girlboss?)
Avengers: Endgame >Good movie, tying up all that was intended since the beginning. Despite turning Thanos into an one-sided incel villain, as opposed to the Machiavellian villain he was in IW. And the Karen Mary-Sue Ex Machina, and Girlpower scene.... I think "they" knew they could never get the MCU better after EG.

Loki >AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. ("repeated kick to the nuts, until the audience understands the symbolism of the scene).
Black Widow >AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (Yes, I want 'period jokes' and a 5 minute explanation of how to remove a uterus.)
What If? >AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (This time using the "multiverse" plot device to shake up the status quo. A new element into the formula. Finding various universes where Captain America is a woman, and Alpha males are incels. Finding any excuse to hard-inject that 'representation')
Shang-Chi >AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. ("Aquafina"...that's it, frick her....)
Eternals >Pure dumpster fire garbage pretending to be a superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (more woke-shit than cape-shit in this one)
Hawkeye >Okay, I'll give it a pass. Not perfect, Kingpin in the real MCU is a plus... character interaction is passable. Better than other post EG projects now.
Spider-Man: No Way Home >And another light-hearted superhero romp, which I'd give it pass with all the fan-servicing people actually wanted to see.
Moon Knight >AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (Hooray for mental illness!)

Yeah listen I don't necessarily agree with a lot of your early tastes, because there are even more "bad" movies than you're letting on. But your trajectory of total quality is pretty much spot on.
For the most part you’re completely correct, with the exception of No Way Home. While it was still slightly quippy, it finally captured the inherent tragedy in the story of Spider-Man in a way I thought the MCU was incapable of. The cameos of other spidermen and their character development was well done. IMO No Way Home ranks among the best of the MCU.
Despite the plot being full of holes it finally gave MCU Peter consequences for his own actions and not just cleaning up Stark's old grudges.
Also removed all the safety nets he had.
It literally wasn't. It was just a good ending. I would sooner do house chores than force myself to sit through that boring first half of Endgame again.
war machine has only ever been a complete waste of screen time. even in the solo iron mans, i'd 100% just prefer to see more tony or anybody else. same goes for falcon. even fricking hawkeye has more going for him than them.

Infinity War > Winter Soldier = Civil War > Everything else. It's crazy how the russo brothers got it right 3 times in a row and then dropped the ball really hard on Endgame
As far as I'm concerned, all MCU tv shows are automatic D-tier. If there was an F-tier, I wouldn't put it all the way down, but I cannot give any MCU shows a passing letter grade.
Daredevil was the first and only one I watched. First two seasons. First season very solid. Second season, meh. It was already beginning to strain under the massive weight of dumbfrick comic shit.
I know you don't want to hear it guys, but comics are for morons.
all the avenger movies where too confusing with too many characters. It doesn't help that most of the time they aren't wearing the goofy comic based costumes. Ya really need the outfits to know who is who unless you're a huge comic nerd.
and the best film from Marvel is Thor. It's easy to fallow, gets to the point and most of all showed that Marvel was really committed to their MCU. Thor is the film that locked in a foundation for all the rest of the movies to build on.
Amazing / Incredible! > Infinity War
gap > Endgame
Strongly Great! >> Winter Soldier = Civil War
Wide range of Great! >>> Guardians 1 = Guardians 2 = Ultron > Shang-Chi > Doctor Strange > Ironman 3 > Black Panther > Avengers > Ironman
Very Good! > Ant Man > Cap1 > Incredible Hulk (it would be equal with the first iron man if it's final battle was better) > Ant Man & The Wasp > Captain Marvel > Thor > Spider-Man - Homecoming
Good! > Hulk (03) > Thor 2 > Ironman 2 > Punisher (04) > Punisher War Zone > Daredevil (03)
This shit was not good, I watched it because I watched a great many of those shitty movies, and because my friend wanted to watch it. It sucked. All those gay-ass movies were garbage, with the exception of IM1 which was decent. I wasn't really into Captain America but it's mostly painless.
Imagine your big bad's deal is he peddles discredited Malthusian theories that make no sense because it's on a universal scale. If you've been a thinking man for more than 5 seconds this is incredibly weak shit. The rest of it is a toy commercial. TRASH.
>discredited Malthusian theories that make no sense because it's on a universal scale.
I still can't believe that Marvel got away with barely developing Thanos' character at all. His motivation makes no fricking sense. He briefly mentions it and we have no reason to believe it'll work. Then he actually does it and we have no clue what happens to the universe at all. I believe all they showed in Endgame was that New York was super depressing and San Francisco had a lot of overgrown weeds. That's it. No attempt at convincing worldbuilding or storytelling whatsoever
As a non-capeshitter, I think Iron Man was a legitimately great movie and mostly doesn't even feel like capeshit; the rest ranged from "kind of bad" to "horrible", although I probably watched less than half of them.
IM1 had everything going for it and absolutely non of the baggage of modern-day DEI mania. The girls are hot, the guys are cool, the dialogue is fun, the action is good.
I was surprised by just how much I liked Infinity War. I didn't see it for a few years after it was released so maybe I was aided by no hype or something but it felt like a strong culmination of everything that had preceded it with definitive stakes, loss, decent action and was all done very entertainingly.
Then the next one came along and undone everything it did and I was reminded why I lost interest in the MCU so long ago.
>Then the next one came along and undone everything it did and I was reminded why I lost interest in the MCU so long ago
Yeah Endgame benefited a lot from the accumulated hype and how genuinely good Infinity War was. But as the years go by people are slowly realizing Infinity War was really the only good half of the two movies.
Endgame started off shit from the get go by killing off Thanos in the first act. Then being boring for the rest of the first two acts. Then ended ok by having a good final battle even though thier was zero personal drama between the heroes and the villain because alt- Thanos had never heard of them.
I never liked Endgame, found it to be a huge disappointment, everybody thought I was insane because they were so high on the fricking popularity of it but I realized it sucked the first time I watched it
Endgame is garbage. Extremely boring movie. Nothing happens for 2 hours and then they thrown in Thanos for a forced battle scene with no tension. No clue how everyone ate it up.
>Then the next one came along and undone everything it did and I was reminded why I lost interest in the MCU so long ago

Did you actually think the characters that got snapped wouldn't come back? I worked at a comic shop at the time and so many customers kept talking about the ending and genuinely thought they would stay dead
>Did you actually think the characters that got snapped wouldn't come back?
No and that wasn't the point. The point was seeing HOW they were going to come back. Endgame failed to pull it off storywise but at least it wasn't insulting or generic rinse and repeat like everything that came after it.
Like I was never annoyed at Endgame for being mediocre. Because there was no woke malice behind it storywise. It didn't try to insult, pander or lecture the audience. It was just a creative miss is all.
>Did you actually think the characters that got snapped wouldn't come back?
I already knew they did because there were more Spiderman movies made before I saw Infinity War. Moving forward in the new reality would have been the braver move. Making a story with consequences then just time travel rewriting those basically nullifies everything that will ever happen after it. There are no more stakes. Probably part of why MCU is flopping so heavily now.
Winter Soldier, Infinity War and Guardians of the Galaxy are definitely the best ones because they have a more distinguished directorial style than all the others. Infinity War is like an anime arc, Winter Soldier is a great action movie, and Guardians has Gunn's humor and cartoonish tone
Agreed. Only Mcu movies ive seen >iron man 1n 2 >infinity war
Tried watching Endgame but couldnt get pass 15 min. And infinity war just had a perfect ending for comic book movies as a whole
Thano's entire plan is fricking moronic. You get rid of 50% of all life and then destroy the stones. It takes 50 years for the population to get back to where it was originally. In 1970 the worlds pop was 3.5billion, now it's 7 billion. At best Thanos bought the galaxy 50 fricking years.
Infinity War was like 4 years of effort and is damn good. Endgame is victory lap/fan service BS, but fun. I really kind of wish the avengers won in IW and EG never happened, but, oh well.
>misleading trailer >wasting world war hulk >hulk jobbing to Thanos >hulk not appearing past the first 3 minutes of IW >hulk ceases to exist between movies, offscreen >hulk is just pathetic in she hulk and she does everything better
Hulk got as far as the original Avengers before getting absolutely wasted. Such a let down.
Power advantage. If they let hulk always be powerful there would be no need for anyone else. The movies would be 5 minutes long because one hulk smash moment and the bad guys would be done. That's why superhero shit is dumb as frick to begin with.
>If they let hulk always be powerful there would be no need for anyone else.
No, this is what the movies got wrong. Hulk is supposed to be their trump card. He's the strongest there is, but he's also uncontrollable and often as dangerous to ally as enemy and collatoral damage is always an issue.
That's why Age of Ultron opening up with them using a Hulk in a small reconnaissance mission is so dumb. You don't just roll out the Hulk as part of any mission.
right? being punched in the face over and over does it? How about.....literally anything else. Radiation, asgard energy, something besides just a punch to the face, it's so dumb.
Yeah, they almost got it right that Hulk isn't just a hero, he's actually extremely dangerous but nah, a non-powered human in a suit can just knock him out by punching.
So fricking dumb.

I will not be watching Echo and neither should anyone else.
He didn't get knocked out get your shit straight.
Guardians of the Galaxy 1-3, Infinity War, Spider-Man 1-3 those are the best
You are now thinking how awesome GOTG3 was going to be before it got derailed and made too late.
"I'm always angry" is genuinely fricking kino. The rest of the first Avengers is mostly just a serviceable blockbuster with a fun cast, but this one scene just makes the whole film
Absolutely agreed. The line is great, the transformation is the best Hulk transformation done on screen, the punch taking down a leviathan is incredible, then the theme plays.
I liked the movie generally and watched Peter and Nebula get in the car a few times for one of the best laughs I've had in a while. But, the movie felt off kilter.
So what happens then.
He gets a building dropped on him and he snaps out of the witch's grasp.
Yeah I loved the bit where >all the unrelated women came out of the same portal >thanos was killed immediately so the big villain isn't the one they fought in the last film and had earned nothing >that everything just gets fixed by wishing >that they introduced time travel which raises so many problems
>One of the stones is called "The Time Stone" because it's really good at crushing bugs. KUNK!
That gave me a lel.
There's a difference between one person having a stone being able to manipulate time and being able to send teams of people back through time, but fair point.
>which raises so many problems
i get your point, but the machine was destroyed and stark was presumably the only person with the knowledge to rebuild it. pepper probably destroyed all his files at their house to keep his tech safe too
Well, no one is watching that shitshow. Should have done Flashpoint-focused story and after Endgame they should have done >Doom plots serving as the "next big-bad" >Underlying Secret Invasion plot throughout, people don't notice until a dead hero turns into a Skrull during the end of the first Avengers movie of this phase >During the Skrull plotline the real big bad is revealed to be someone else that was not, nor should have been, someone like Kang who is extremely lame.
IW had Avatar levels of great cgi and cinematography to back it up. I don’t know what the frick happened with Endgame but it’s no where near as tightly paced and pristine looking.
Like Fellowship of The Ring the Russos had a whole year of pre production to work on everything. But Endgame was shot back to back and you could tell they were (and everyone else eg VFX Artists) were burnout on Endgame. Even some of the final fight looked shite.
Endgame was just a self congratulatory final lap. But IW ending had some biblical heft with the snap (until everyone was brought back ffs). It was an inspired decision to make Thanos the main character of IW. Only Tony’s death comes close but everything else in endgame was just standard MCU shite. ScarJo carried a lot of the emotional beats for the film. Hawkeye was weirdly off his game and Thor’s got emasculated just to balance out the power levels for Captain Marvel (who was shite as well). Hulk is the worst crime of them all. Also the Cap ending contradicts the time travel rules they setup earlier in the film.
I though Tony and Cap in the 70's was a good set up and pay off for their characters. Like Tony leaves in peace with his dad and cap just leaves more conflicted after seeing Peggy
It really is surprising how much better this movie is than anything that came after. And it's still Marvel slop.
Only MCU flicks that are even kinda worth a watch
>Iron Man 1&2
>Infinity War, Endgame
Iron Man 2 is trash. Winter Soldier is also worth mentioning.

Endgame was moronic, the story should have ended in Infinity War. Endgame's plot is moronic, the villain achieves his goal but to make a new movie they just go back in time to kill him before he does it... stupid.
No.

Personally I think Iron Man is the best, followed by Infinity War and Guardians of the Galaxy. Everything else is varying degrees of garbage.
It was all downhill after the first Iron Man, which is objectively fricking great.
Infinity War/Endgame was the only time the MCU was actually relevant. The Avengers 1 kind of got hyped up too but not as much as the Thanos duology.

I don't believe you that they did that.
This trailer is unironically a work of art and probably the best thing to come out of the MCU even though the actual movie is complete shit.
>fat titty sokovian big sister
love when marvel used to shoe horn breasts into their movies its so over bros...
i'm still mad we didn't get incest
This. I still look back at that as one of the biggest 'disparity between trailer and final film' quality jumps that's ever happened.

I still think The First Avenger trailer was the best one. Tool just bumps it to the next level.
Suicide Squad had a much better trailer and the movie itself was even worse than Avengers 2.

this is the rare movie i turned off halfway through because i just didn't give a frick. same shit with birds of prey.

batman, daredevil & punisher are good in this regard because they only fight humans
Good trailer almost makes u think someone can recut the film into kino if they had time.
How so?
Ultron starts quipping and ruins the intimidation and tension he had in his introduction
Don't forget, Tony was quipping "Go to sleep" on spam mode, so that helped
>quips covering up bad writing won't be an issue for another 9 years, it's fine
and hulk got 0 lines..... not a "puny banner" or "stupid tony" or anything. Ugh... hulkbuster was 6/10
What could have been
>MCU
Nop, that is Guardian of the Galaxy
>MARVEL
Nop, that is SpiderMan Raimi
None of these movies are good. have a nice day if you waste a second of your very limited time on this earth on this shit.
The only good capeshit is Watchmen and Constantine
i liked Avengers 1, it still felt like they were making movies instead of the assembly line-tier sloppage that hit us in 2016
I feel like the last good movie they made was that. It felt very SOVLful
>male gaze
>Captain America goody two shoes and explicitly Christian despite recent events
>all of the quips are mostly lame but not offensively bad and charming in their way
>great ending
I feel like civil war was when they went into full slop mode. Ant Man was the last Marvel shit I could excuse as a movie.
>Watchmen and Constantine
>uses that pic when he defends marvelslop
kys
Basedjaks are bordering on fetish art at this point, what the frick is this anon
No one looks like that or does that.
Iron Man 1 is the best marvel movie
Infinity War is second then Winter Soldier
>2000s Marvel movies before IM1 mog everything that is made after that one
I'd rather watch Spider-Man 3 over anything ''Marvel Studios'' has made.
Iron man alone mogs raimi gay cuck trilogy
IW is is best movie in the franchise and the only good movie since then was No Way Home. The rest have been various levels of shit. Every single one of them. Even the one's you say are the exception.
>the only good movie since then was No Way Home
Not him but yes.
For me, it's Iron Man then the first half of the Winter Soldier, as it just turns into slop in its second half.
It's the only one I ever bothered watching more than once
And Endgame but it's a noticeable drop in quality fromIW
You forgot about Thor: Ragnarok
it would have been kino, if it was more centered on thor, remove the fricking jokes and quips, everysingle one
make it more apocalyptic. the gladiator thing was very underwhelming
>Infinity War is Marvels best movie.
>This is not up for debate.
IW was the LAST good MCU movie, I'll agree to that...but the best ever? No way...
Iron Man
>Good, we need more variety aside from a few ('meh') X-men movies at the time. Ultimate Nick Fury mentions Avengers and we all lose our collective shit.
The Incredible Hulk
>Okay, better than the Ang Lee one. RDJ cameo establishing fan servicing.
Iron Man 2
>Good, Black Widow, War Machine, more Avengers breadcrumbing.
Thor
>Good attempt to turn Shakespeare into capeshit. Brannagh, Hopkins, dicky hershslag.
Captain America: The First Avenger
>Best MCU movie ever. 100% loyal to source material. 'Rocketeer' director knew what he was doing.
The Avengers
>The impossible made possible, if you knew during the 90s how all the movie rights were scattered after Marvel Comic's constant bankruptcies selling those rights to any random person with money. No one thought it was possible ever.
Iron Man 3
>meh, okay, their first controversial mistake with screwing up the Mandarin.
Thor: Dark World
>meh, okay, it's one of the worst pre-Endgame MCU films. but that has nothing to do with why MCU sucks now. Just poor decision making, imo.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
>The other best MCU movie.
Guardians of the Galaxy
>Surprisingly good movie, unique style at the time, great cast, good balance of emotions, surprise underdog IP that no one cared about until this movie. .....BUT!...
Avengers: Infinity War
>Good movie, bringing together 10 years of plot threads running through all the other 20-something movies before. This is what people wanted, and I'm sure at the time, they wanted to be carefull handling this movie with a more serious tone, since they were going for the "Empire Strikes Back" downer ending, and not use it as a platform for light-hearted woke-shit that inteded later on.
Karen Mary-Sue
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (Girlboss movie for sure. Reminder it only made money because it was sandwiched between IW and EG with the audience expectation that it would have something to do with Thanos....also, Disney buys their own tickets)
Ant-Man and the Wasp
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (so who's movie is this? Certainly not S.o.i.boi Rudd's Ant-man, but girlboss' Wasp and Ghost being girlboss?)
Avengers: Endgame
>Good movie, tying up all that was intended since the beginning. Despite turning Thanos into an one-sided incel villain, as opposed to the Machiavellian villain he was in IW. And the Karen Mary-Sue Ex Machina, and Girlpower scene.... I think "they" knew they could never get the MCU better after EG.
><< Despite the lessen quality post-GotGv1, I'd say it's a high-note to end the TRUE MCU on.... but from here on out, it's not even 'downhill from here', more like diving off a cliff.>>
Spider-Man: Far from Home
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (Zendeya needs to shut up).
Wandvision
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (Wanda mind-rapes a whole town, and is rewarded being a HERo? frick off)
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. ("youse gotta do bettah"BLM bullshit lecture frick off)
Loki
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. ("repeated kick to the nuts, until the audience understands the symbolism of the scene).
Black Widow
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit.
Shang-Chi
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. ("Aquafina"...that's it, frick her....)
Eternals
>Pure dumpster fire garbage pretending to be a superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (more woke-shit than cape-shit in this one)
Hawkeye
>Okay, I'll give it a pass. Not perfect, Kingpin in the real MCU is a plus... character interaction is passable. Better than other post EG projects now.
Spider-Man: No Way Home
>And another light-hearted superhero romp, which I'd give it pass with all the fan-servicing people actually wanted to see.
Moon Knight
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (Hooray for mental illness!)
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (America Chavez fml)
Ms. Marvel
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (dear god, NOBODY WANTED THIS! NOT EVEN COMIC BOOK ENTHUSIASTS!)
Thor: Love and Thunder
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (I guess they tried to nail down Waitit's formula here, but failed)
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
>AND....no...just....no......
She Hulk: Attorney at Law
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp, with an extra ingredient of woke-shit. (men are scum, but women can be just as scummy but be hailed as empowered instead?)
Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantomania
>Never. Even. Bothered.... MCU is dead to me....I tried, but nope...done frick th
>Hawkeye
I still can't believe out of all the male heroes he ended up the only not emasculated and sidelined for the girlboss
Nothing about Shang-Chi was woke.
>Avengers: Endgame
>Good movie
It literally wasn't. It was just a good ending. I would sooner do house chores than force myself to sit through that boring first half of Endgame again.
war machine has only ever been a complete waste of screen time. even in the solo iron mans, i'd 100% just prefer to see more tony or anybody else. same goes for falcon. even fricking hawkeye has more going for him than them.
Bumped
His Super Suit scene in Infinity War was 30 seconds and got cut for the girlbosses group scene that was shoehorned in.
><< Here is where the MCU jumped the shark, you really do start to see how the quality of the MCU starts to wane from this point>>
Avengers: Age of Ultron
>Disney believe they crack the code with GotG and started making light-hearted superhero romps, which contradicted what Whedon was trying to do, and that got him fired in the end. One can notice the seams in editing where Whedon starts, and Disney ends; and you can tell who was at fault for what.
Ant-Man
>Light-hearted superhero romp, formulaic of GotG despite funny Rudd being Rudd in a costume. Pushing quirky, with a smidge of seriousness, and boring run-of-the-mill actions scenes. But still Rudd is funny, so it's another Paul Rudd thinking he's in another Apatow movie.
Captain America: Civil War
>Good movie, but make no mistake this movie was created by focus groups, the editing proves how jarring the tone is,... 'who actually made this movie?"
Doctor Strange
>Nice trippy SFX, but another wacky lighted hearted superhero romp, like Ant-Man...hardly original to begin with.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
>Good movie, not as good as the first. But no one is the wiser to the standard formula that Disney expects.
Spider-Man: Homecoming
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp, on Sony's dime.
Thor; Ragnarok
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp. A successful movie because it leans in with Gunn's formula, with Waititi taking it further with his comedic pacing.
Black Panther
>AND another light-hearted superhero romp (With an extra ingredient of woke-shit; which becomes a more of a mainstay addition to the GotG formula)
Infinity War > Winter Soldier = Civil War > Everything else. It's crazy how the russo brothers got it right 3 times in a row and then dropped the ball really hard on Endgame
>timetravel asspull
no thanks.
>Daredevil in D
As far as I'm concerned, all MCU tv shows are automatic D-tier. If there was an F-tier, I wouldn't put it all the way down, but I cannot give any MCU shows a passing letter grade.
That wasn't Disney-led. And I found it a lot more tolerable than some of the movies but fair enough.
You haven't seen Daredevil if you think this
Daredevil was the first and only one I watched. First two seasons. First season very solid. Second season, meh. It was already beginning to strain under the massive weight of dumbfrick comic shit.
I know you don't want to hear it guys, but comics are for morons.
>Captain Karen above Moon Knight. DAREDEVIL, Punisher, What If
I didn't organize each tier. I just put all the crap in D-tier. Captain Marvel is certainly not the best of D-tier.
its morbin time
I would put the Hawkeye series up there with Morbius because of the constant sexual tension between the two leads.
all the avenger movies where too confusing with too many characters.
It's the best because a whole bunch of uninteresting quipshit characters die. If only they stayed dead for good.
Ill never forget the audible gasp of the audience as i pulled a 180 on them and clapped and cheered as black panther turned to dust.
True
Thanos is a shit villain and a shit character and I'm tired of pretending otherwise
Iron Man and Guardians of Galaxy 2 were better

> Thor Ragnarok
All Shit!
>every MCU movie or show
Scorsese was right. Time to grow up and watch cinema.
>all capeshit is le bad!
Babby's first hot take in 2018.
She could have saved the MCU, so why didn't they let her?
Because the heads at Marvel are focused on her worst stories.
That's it. No attempt at convincing worldbuilding or storytelling whatsoever
he
>likes fighting
>wants to increase labor costs
>kills his daughters
about what i got from it
>Infinity War was six years ago.
It’s probably the most well made and thanks being serious is cool
the only remotely good MCU movies are Iron Man 1 and Captain America 1 & 2
Cap 1 wasn't even that good but the setting was kino
Actually it is GOTG Vol. 3
Iron Man is no more capeshit than Robocop. It's just a really cool sci-fi action movie.
The first Iron Man is the only good movie in the whole series
There's a lot of them I haven't seen but from what I have seen:
1) Infinity War
2) Iron Man
3) Winter Soldier
4) Guardians of the Galaxy
5) Avengers
How can you prefer the relentless slop of IW to Iron Man 1?
Avengers is only a favorite because fanservice. Ultron was forgettable.
>Then the next one came along and undone everything it did
Did you actually think the characters that got snapped wouldn't come back?
Blade and Into the Spiderverse are the only good ones you filthy zoomers
Agreed. Only Mcu movies ive seen
>iron man 1n 2
>infinity war
Tried watching Endgame but couldnt get pass 15 min. And infinity war just had a perfect ending for comic book movies as a whole
Winter soldier and nothing even comes close
I really like Guardians of the Galaxy, especially 1 and 3. Fun space adventure with some emotional stuff.
I really like iron man 3
It was fine, didn't know people hated it. IM2 can suck a dick tho
>muh burd
Was this a Christmas movie? I forget. I just know the director always makes xmas a backdrop.
yeah
Thor 1 and Iron Man are better. This is the best of the newer ones.
While I don't agree it is nice to see Thor 1 get some love. Damn underrated, 2 also.
Infinity War is ruined by just how immensely shit Endgame is. Best Marvel movie is The Punisher (2004).
If you want to dig up old non-MCU stuff, why not Blade?
They're both great but I think Punisher has the better score/soundtrack of the two.
>Blade

Fury was absolute kino in Winter Soldier. They totally character assassinated Fury, “Black girl magic!”. Shit is fricked up.
Only good MCU film is Iron Man 3
Frick Shane Black for what he did to the Predator however
Thano's entire plan is fricking moronic. You get rid of 50% of all life and then destroy the stones. It takes 50 years for the population to get back to where it was originally. In 1970 the worlds pop was 3.5billion, now it's 7 billion. At best Thanos bought the galaxy 50 fricking years.
For me It's Iron Kino Three
Infinity War was like 4 years of effort and is damn good. Endgame is victory lap/fan service BS, but fun. I really kind of wish the avengers won in IW and EG never happened, but, oh well.
kino trailer
>can do literally anything
>can turn a gun into a toy
>let's throw rocks at them
>let's fist fight them
It never makes sense
>misleading trailer
>wasting world war hulk
>hulk jobbing to Thanos
>hulk not appearing past the first 3 minutes of IW
>hulk ceases to exist between movies, offscreen
>hulk is just pathetic in she hulk and she does everything better
Hulk got as far as the original Avengers before getting absolutely wasted. Such a let down.
Apparently they're aware of people's reaction to the Hulk nerf and plan on making a more serious movie but it's still a rumor at this stage
I want to believe.
I loved the 2008 movie at the time, and his "I'm always angry" scene is probably the best part of Avengers.
I don't know why they developed such a hate-boner for him after that.
You are now thinking how awesome GOTG3 was going to be before it got derailed and made too late.
So what happens then.
I'm not sure it was ever truly topped.
Doesn't Universal(based) still hold the Hulk's film rights?
Guardians of the Galaxy 1-3, Infinity War, Spider-Man 1-3 those are the best
>make a villain who's a legit threat and not a quippy homosexual
>people like it
Who would have thought.
Endgame was good and I'll never pretend it wasn't.
I like the heist part
I liked the movie generally and watched Peter and Nebula get in the car a few times for one of the best laughs I've had in a while. But, the movie felt off kilter.
He gets a building dropped on him and he snaps out of the witch's grasp.
Endgame was the best film ever made.
No but I would say it's easily the 3rd best superhero film ever after TDK & Infinity War.
Yeah I loved the bit where
>all the unrelated women came out of the same portal
>thanos was killed immediately so the big villain isn't the one they fought in the last film and had earned nothing
>that everything just gets fixed by wishing
>that they introduced time travel which raises so many problems
Top 3, easy
>introduced time travel
One of the stones is called "The Time Stone" because it's really good at crushing bugs. KUNK!
>One of the stones is called "The Time Stone" because it's really good at crushing bugs. KUNK!
That gave me a lel.
There's a difference between one person having a stone being able to manipulate time and being able to send teams of people back through time, but fair point.
>which raises so many problems
i get your point, but the machine was destroyed and stark was presumably the only person with the knowledge to rebuild it. pepper probably destroyed all his files at their house to keep his tech safe too
>stark was presumably the only person with the knowledge to rebuild it
Undermined by Shuri outsmarting Banner and Stark.
Hell, Cassie Lang, who is just some random thief's daughter, designs a quantum telescope.
Why can't one of them build one now that it's known to be possible?
The Flash did a more interesting time travel story than Endgame
Well, no one is watching that shitshow. Should have done Flashpoint-focused story and after Endgame they should have done
>Doom plots serving as the "next big-bad"
>Underlying Secret Invasion plot throughout, people don't notice until a dead hero turns into a Skrull during the end of the first Avengers movie of this phase
>During the Skrull plotline the real big bad is revealed to be someone else that was not, nor should have been, someone like Kang who is extremely lame.
Infinity War had actual tension. There were stupid jokes but didn't cut the tension.
The first Dr Strange was better. So was Daredevil.
