Kamala might have worked if the inhumans were actually around her more but editorial wanted to make her an Avenger. That's how she ended up hanging out with Tony more than Carol and the Inhumans.
They should have just made Kamala a mutant from the start. It would have allowed more focused storytelling. I only remember Kamala meeting the Inhumans once, and her Inhuman lineage is on track to be retconned away within a few years.

Depending on how you want to look at it, Krakoa, the resurrection crew, and the future Krakoans we saw could all be argued as slaves. The former since they're indispensable for the society existing and cannot be allowed to not perform their role and the latter in that they're granted powers in accordance to the needs of the state for the purpose of carrying out their orders.
They could have done any number of things with Kamala to give her powers beyond mutant or inhuman and they would have been better off. Whatever happened to nice simple and clean lab accidents or chemical spills. Hell google up some muslim mythology and make it tied to that. Do anything.

Well, she's a mutant now, and it hasn't done her any better than when she was an Inhuman, so I guess the issue wasn't that she wasn't a mutant, it's just that they knew frickall of what to do with the character past her first book.

I have always seen the Inhumans as a fun novelty, but they don’t need a lot of appearances. Mutants are more versatile characters and have better stories.
I think it has been 4 or 5 years since an Inhumans story in the comics, so it’s time they come back for a few issues.
I think you could do well to spread them around a bit if not have them be a central figure. Crystal was on the Avengers and F4 and Medusa was used pretty often. I would say only Black Bolt is too big a gun to over use.

Same reason they still make anything that isn't Avengers X-men, Variety. Besides while they are nowhere near A-listers like the X-men or Hulk they still sell decent relative to other properties. The problem is they didn't really care about pushing the existing Inhumans characters. Perlmutter only cared about the Inhuman concept as a madlibs swap for the basics of the X-Men and that's why so much of the push involved a bunch of new, conventially attractive, teenage characters with X-Men style uniforms and generic powers instead of the usual freaks they were known for.

They're interesting as the weirdo neighbors down the street that you very rarely see outside, and when they do come out greet you, you're almost apprehensive about what they want. They should be friendly overall and willing to lend a hand when needed, but you should be quickly reminded that they have their own shit going on and that they're just as likely to work in their own interests in contradiction to yours, but nothing overtly hostile, since they don't have plans to conquer, replace, or frick over humanity in general, but they do have their own people to account for first.
Yeah it's amazing how much of their entire schtick Marvel has tried to throw out to try and make them protagonists. Alpha Primitives, Eugenics, Monarchy, they tried to throw out everything that made the unique which just leaves a bunch of goobers. They're simply not supposed to be "Heroes" or "Good Guys".
