At the end of the first movie, we saw that after Sadness touched all the previously happy emotions and created nostalgic and melancholic core memories. We see Riley has several core memories with multiple emotions, creating mixed colors.
Honestly, I made this thread because I think Joy and Anger look cute together, but it did make me think how it would work if the emotions got romantically involved. They are their own people despite living in Riley's head.
