I just finished Season 1 of the cartoon and asked myself a question, "Was the comic this DIVERSE?" I answered my own question by searching "Invincible Comic Amber." Pic related. Mmhmm.. I thought so. Black girlfriend and the majority of the unnamed civilians being brown.
This is yet another one of those things where I enjoy the core of the cartoon, the story had me captivated and I want to see more, but it's being tainted by ESG blackwashing.
there's one thing i don't understand
do people know who is Omni-man? since he doesn't hide his face people would assume who he is immediately and he's been seen with his family so that means everyone knows or at least suspect Mark, being his son, must be Invincible, right?
Also wouldn't that mean everyone knows omniman is the author of those novels or does he use a pen name
not even his (gay) friend knew omniman was his dad despite both sharing the exact face. i think it's one of those suspension of disbelief where people can't figure out unless you wear the costume in front of them.
Also they go all over the world so it's makes it more hard to filter ever Mark or any man with mustache down to them specifically

It's a joke based on how no one can tell that Clark Kent and Superman are the same person.
Because you aren't a power level gay. Dragon Ball making everything about Saiyans sucks. This is my problem with the Superman analogs. It isn't that they are rip-offs but that they make everything about them. At least, XenoVerse 2 decided to make Beast mode not Saiyan exclusive which would make it hard for Toriyama to take back.

To be fair, 99% of characters in Invincible are total jobbers, including the main character.
