There are other issues. Really only season 1 was interesting because it had a focused plot. After that it falls apart in terms of structure and character development.

In the timeline where Robot is in Mark's body, would he have a Viltrumite harem or stick to his oneitis for Monster Girl?

it's very likely the rest of the Viltrumites eventually realized it wasn't actually him and had him executed

Does he have that in that universe? Monster girl is a baby in that universe, they may have never met.

She's a baby because she abused her transformations, probably after the Viltrumites invaded. That's why her monster form is a kaiju.

MG is a horrifying mindless monster/a baby, so I don't see him falling for her in that timeline. Generally speaking though, I can see him having her as like, high empress or something and then a Thragg-like harem of army kids. He always did wanna juggle his masterful keikaku and his underserved love life.

Do you guys think the 50 min episodes are justified?
After reading the comic it made me realize that it just stretches things too much. The animation really suffers from it and I have no doubt it's the main reason the episdes takes so long to come out. I like the idea of having animated shows with episodes longer than 25 minute episodes but I don't think Invincible needed that.

          >and have way to much filler imo
they are already cutting several minor events from the comics, the show has reduced Mark's school life and interaction with his normal friends quite a lot.

I like that in the show they gave more time to show the damage done by the fight between Mark and Omni Man. I think that's a nice adition but at the same time I don't think we needed to waste that much time on William's boyfriend

I can see it barely taking a whole year to come out, the leaked sheets were pretty recent so chances are they're currently working on the last 3 or 2 episodes

    THE MOST POWERFUL
    THE MOST PASSIONATE
STEWARD OF THE MIGHTY VILTRUM EMPIRE
    SLAYER OF THOKK
    THRAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGG

The only reason he lost was due to backwards tradition, the very thing viltrumites broke when it served them more conveniently to pretend to be human. Thragg was a victim of the hypocrisy of his own people. He fought to the bitter end against the entire universe, including his own, for the greater good of his own people. Viltrum never deserved such a great man leading them.

I want to see the universe where Thragg doesn't try to kill Nolan and Mark and instead becomes Nolan's advisor and best bud.

      >Voice acting is already complete
That's the thing that always gets finished first, if you're concern is simply getting it done, you can knock out a script and all the voice work in two weeks.

50 minutes would be justified if they stretched in in ways that mattered, instead of simply lengthening what's already there. There's plenty of room to elaborate on characters and scenes, but instead they go for wide shots, montages, and sappy music.

I like that speech a lot because he's being diplomatic and acting in his people's best interests but he's also being completely honest. If he were in Allen's shoes, and traded his priorities for that of the coalition's, he'd still think the same way that he is trying to make Allen think here. It's that genuineness that permeates this character's actions that makes him so captivating. the scene where his people beat the shit out of him just makes me so angry. Thragg is the best of all of you knuckledragging imbeciles, he's only doing what's best for you. So quick to turn on the man who gave his everything for you for the sake of petty tradition, but oh human pussy? That's the good shit HUBBA HUBBA WE SURE ARE A BUNCH OF STUPID CAPRICIOUS Black folk!!! Frick and having Nolan stop them was just such insult to injury on top. Just gotta really jerk off Nolan and Mark's bloodline by making them so cool and compassionate :*~~

Thragggays sure love to keep this pasta at hand, and panels from when Thragg was kinda of a complex character. He became nothing but a petty two-bit villain once Nolan and Mark’s lineage was revealed, if Thragg truly wanted the good of his people he would have peacefully step down and pass the throne to Nolan, but Thragg wanted to be ruler for life, as soon as his fees fees got hurt for the Viltrumites not accepting him as their ruler for life even though his title was Grand Regent, meaning he was only filling up for the rightfully ruler, Thragg became a little b***h that decided his entire race should die if they didn’t want him to lead them.

have you considered he might have thought himself more fit to the role than someone like Nolan who was not only much weaker than himself, but subversive to boot? I'd argue he made some fantastically shit decisions as leader. Thragg recognizes strength, both physical and cultural adherence, and he was anything but impressed with Nolan in spite of his heritage. I honestly believe he would have handed the empire off to End of Series Mark without a fuss, as soon as he recognized his superior strength and comparable conviction.

NTA you all have been arguing with, but it is lazy and reductive of Kirkman. I would disagree that a parody, per se, is a rip of, and a limited homage can be just that (see any decent variant cover or say homage to the Action Comics No. 1 cover) but otherwise, when you are getting into as much detail as Kirkman did with his Atlantis plot and having Mark having to marry the fish queen, it shows a distinct lack of originality.

If Kirkam and Ottley hadn't drawn up as much blood and gore as they did, most of you would be so reflexively defensive of what otherwise is a middling and mostly boring story that went on far too long, wasn't as funny and amusing as Kirkman thought, and only a weed smoking imbecile would try to monetize - but hey, if Crapazom wants to continue to pay to underwrite this shit even now that Zaslav will pretty much license original IP off to anyone who will pay....

Kirkman is a thieving piece of shit. doesn't matter how much effort he put into it, it's still theft.

So what's the point of him? Did the Invincible universe really need two different Superman expies? Why not just make Omni-Man leader of the Guardians?

A little bit but at the same time the comic doesn't pretend that Mark is a genius or a master in ethics. He's still an inmature young man who can make mistakes and learn from them.

      >So am I supposed to be against Cecil because Mark is clearly the one being irrational
Cecil is being irrational; Not because working with ostensibly evil people is morally wrong, but because fighting Mark like that is strategically wrong. It would take an instant for mark to decapitate Cecil, if he were mad enough he easily could just before they part ways.
But morally i don't know if there is a right answer. The comic as a while loves the idea that you can judge people two ways: by the bad they've done, or by the good they can potentially do.

      2. They want to actually flesh out characters for more emotional impact when shit goes sideways, rather than just relying on goregoregore

I suspect they want to do at least 7 seasons. The pacing is fine. You can always binge DBS in the meantime.
