Finally
Trailer drop the same day I hope
What's with the Chinese-style title? Chinese titles generally tell you everything about the main character which removes all tension from the media itself. Like a show or manhua about a doctor will be titled "Impeccable Doctor with Heavenly Skills That Never Fail".
Maybe it'll be a subversive title and every episode will have Fight Girl getting the tar beat out of her, much like that other show with Invincible in the name
God, I hope so.
Kino
Will this finally be "the" cartoon to define the 2020's and not get cancelled by season 2.
Who cares? I just hope it's fun
I guess the poster didn't do them justice because the characters look much better in this drawing
That's Hazbin's role.
This
Arcane already took that role
You say that but I wouldn't be surprised if Riot bit the dust by Season 3 at this rate.
The decade isn't even halfway over anon.
I don't think there's singular cartoons that have defined the 2000s and 2010s.
2000s was defined by SpongeBpb and 2010s was defined by Adventure Time. If you want to go back further, 1990s was defined by The Simpsons
Facts
Nta but AT heavily defined 2010's animation. Every showrunner wanted to do lore shit after the basic stuff Ward did in the early seasons.
Unironically, that's been Hazbin Hotel since the pilot dropped on YouTube at the end of 2019 and sparked a wave of internet animation. The future of cartoons is online, not on cable
So it's finally going to happen then? It's been so long I had started to think this got quietly cancelled.
WB announced the show right when it got greenlit which is why there's been so little word of it since. The first episodes weren't finished until very recently
I don't know anon. If seems like most of these studios hold onto these series and episodes for a long while until someone up top decides it's time to drop them. Or at least that's how it seems most of the others do it. Speaking of drops, do we know what kind of schedule this series is going to get? Weekly new episodes or a big multi episode dump?
Looking forward to it
I still think it's ridiculous to use the word INVINCIBLE in the title of a teen superhero cartoon right now. I'm sure they could've come up with something more distinct
That's a neat pic. Off the top of your head, do you know any other shows that went through a bunch of working titles?
NTA but ik that "Spongeboy Ahoy!" was the original name of the Spongebob Squarepants series.
To be fair, this is a show about wrestlers, not super heroes
About fricking time. The musclebound nerd with a bob caught my interest immediately when the poster dropped here last year
why should I watch this?
You don't have to.
But yeah there's nothing to show off, its just a poster atm
No one knows, we haven't seen anything from it yet. Interest is only peaked bc it's the first thing CN is putting out in years that isn't for babies
CN’s been making a lot of adult cartoons in the past few years (Fiona and Cake, Primal, Close Enough, Unicorn Warriors Eternal)
I find it so funny that CN went from all ages to making shows on two opposite ends of the spectrum (just baby shows for toddlers adult shows with sex and gore)
It's funny until you realize how sad it is that the people running Cartoon Network now view animation as only fitting in two extremes. The fact that Unicorn and that Superman show had to be pigeonholed into the Adult Swim block because they were somehow "too edgy" for children says it ALL
There's going to be so much porn
I’ll give it a watch. Is it made by a calarts alumni?
Finally...the instantly forgettable...
Not in the slightest.
Yeah okay, you're the same guy who was claiming it didn't exist af all.
Hoping this gets to be OK KO couldn't be
not gay?
Pretty much
Anon, the two main sidekicks are male.
This is like, soooo going to be gay it's not funny.
Ehh, I don't get yaoi vibes off of them. Buff men is fujo repellent
Hey, I'd be all for it if that was the case. But I still really doubt gay guys will be showing up as leads in any cartoon any time soon. Girls? Sure. But guys still seem too much.
The sidekicks being male doesn't mean they'll be gay, means there's going to be a love triangle
I like the shaggy guy who seems like he'll be the main gag character of the trio. Blondie would be a lot better with a nose, not sure if it's a plot point part of his design.
Rise of TMNT artists on board, it could be top-tier animation wise.
>Network: Cartoon Network/Max
oh goddammit is it another max exclusive
There's no way they aren't going to air it on Cartoon Network too, right? They already have almost nothing going on over there. Missing a whole new show entirely would be a mess.
>The first episode will be screened at SCAD TVfest in Atlanta, Georgia on February 7. TV premiere probably not long after
We don't even have a trailer yet and you're telling me it's out this February? Frick that promotion.
Anyways, it's Flying Bark, it's gonna be certified kino.
It's Flying Bark?? Now I'm way more excited
However, this also leaves me worried, if you know about the flying bark curse.....
Well, that’s what word of mouth is for.
We've just got to enjoy it for the short time it will last. Maybe this time will break it.
Having seen what becomes of shows that become popular on Cinemaphile, that doesn't seem so bad
What curse? Monkie Kid has 5 seasons. And the failure of Glitch Techs and Rise are more of a Nickelodeon Curse than anything
Rise still got a movie didn't it?
>couldn't even make the older mentor figure attractive
Invincible Fight Girl's off to a rough start...
We're not doing tribehomosexualry.
Damn, I really struck a nerve without even trying. You got me all wrong; I DETEST pitting different, unrelated shows against each other, something that's definitely been forced by a couple loud anons on Cinemaphile lately. All I said was I'm bummed that so far there doesn't seem to be a hot character in the main cast (that we know of). I used a pic of Mimi Lafayette 'cause her show's been on my mind lately and that was the first example I could think of with a prominent waifu. Nothing deeper than that.
I know tone is tough to interpret in online text, but my post as a whole was mainly humorous anyway. I'm still excited for Invincible Fight Girl. Waifus don't make or break a show for me. The Last Wish and Mutant Mayhem are two of my favorite movies in recent years and neither had a character I could jerk off to.
sounds like a tribegay if I've ever heard one
Frick off back to your discord
>replies with a screencap from some awful show that no one watches
I don't know why this is a thing
It’s not a bad show.
nobody gives a frick about this show going to get cancelled after this second season
this but it's probably finished after the first season. the art director on the show already left to go work at Titmouse because CN doesn't want to renew it past the first 20 episodes yet
Just because they're screening the first episode doesn't mean the show is premiering in Feb. The first episode of Unicorn: Warriors Eternal was screened at NYCC in October 2022 and didn't air on TV until the following May
That's fricked up
Monkie Kid lasted 5 seasons and even if its cancelled after that it had a long run.
>Flying Bark
My interest has now doubled
Cringe and gaypilled
Is this a legit action cartoon?
It's an action-comedy series with "next-level action sequences" according to WBA execs
>calarts shit
>another black girl MC shoehorned for diversity points
Yeah, no thanks
>calarts shot
How? This looks nothing like beanmouth
OMGOSH! ANOTHER INTERACIAL ANIME INSPIRED CALARTS CHILDRENS CARTOON WITH "ADULT" HECK'N THEMARINOS!!!! SIGN ME UP REDDIT!
There is something about this, that reminds me of Golpea Duro Hara.
>Golpea Duro Hara
What was this? Don't think I've seen it brought up before.
It is a Chilean animated show. It isn't that well known, it barely comes out in the LatAm Cinemaphile threads.
I think it is fully available on Youtube, but don't take my word for that.
If Invincible Fight Girl does not have a crossover episode with Hara, the show will be extra shit.
Well i definitely going to bring the show in the next thread (whetever is going to happen) because i finally watch season 2
It's basically the same thing but Warner didn't want to deal with spics
Currently the only show I'm looking forward to and that's kinda sad to thunk about
Same
>Le strong girl of colour and scaredycat white male
Miss me with that shit. I hope it bombs (it will).
Don't act like it's new
At least the show was named after him not "brown girl and some homosexual"
Everyone was a goof in Dave the Barbarian. Plus with the exception of Candy nobody's gender mattered.
>Le strong girl and scaredycat white male
kim possible
my life with a teenage robot
Cancelled after 1 season
gays just don't learn
where's the white boy's nose
Same place as Cricket Green's
>Owl House is a failure.
That's the only correct thing about this post
The animatics that were leaked on here a year ago were actually really good. Looking forward to seeing how this turned out
>The animatics that were leaked on here a year ago
Any link?
I don't at all remember that. Thought it would have been more widely shared if that was the case.
Is this the one with the sexy naked muscular guy with a heart hiding his dick?
