Is Cinemaphile a Volume 1 or Volume 2 board?
Vol. 1 has better action.
Vol. 2 has better characters.

It's one film
With a shitty second half
It's two movies. It could have been one if Tarantino didn't give in to Weinstein.
Why wasn't The Whole Bloody Affair ever released on bluray? The frick is Tarantula's problem?
this is my favorite tarantino movie by far
but volume 1 is better
for me it's Budd
>as characters
Budd > Bill > O-Ren > Elle > Vernita
>as fights
O-Ren > Bill > Elle > Vernita > Budd
I'd sooner rewatch 2. Budd, Elle, Pai Mei, and Bill were all cool and the scene with Beatrix breaking out the coffin was good too. Honestly while it was a great fight it's a little strange O-Ren gets so much content with the majority of Vol 1 while so much stuff was packed into the Vol 2.
Vernita was easily defeated and her story was short because she had gotten soft like Beatrix would have if the massacre never happened.
Revenge stories are boring. The person seeking revenge always gets their revenge in the end. It's predictable because it's what the audience wants. It's what most people consider to be the satisfying end. Show me a movie where the protagonist spends the whole movie trying to get their revenge, and then gets denied their revenge and the one they were trying to get revenge on gets away with it

Kill Bill volume 2

Funny Games
uhm, spoiler alert
Vol.1 mogs Vol.2
>Vernita

>O-Ren

>Elle

>Bill
?????
My favorite scene in Kill Bill is when Beatrix and O-ren fight.
Beatrix falls to the first strike, and pridefully, O-ren mocks her: "silly Caucasian girl likes to play with samurai swords".
Beatrix rises back up and strikes back, delivering a devastating strike back to O-ren.
O-ren recoils back, stunned at Beatrix' determination. As O-ren momentarily pauses to steady herself, she has an ephinany - she has become the thing she hates.
Much like how Boss Matsumoto murdered O-ren's family, O-ren murdered Beatrix' family. Much like how Boss Tanaka disparaged O-ren's heritage, O-ren disparaged Beatrix' heritage.
In her final moments, as she stares at Beatrix, O-ren drops her facade, extending a quiet, genuine apology. Beatrix, knowing that she and O-ren share the same sorrows, quietly accepts, before striking a fatal blow.
It's amazing how deep this scene goes, with just 2-3 lines of dialogue and some excellent acting, body language, and facial expressions.
All of the Vipers, except for Elle, knew that they deserved to die and Beatrix deserved her revenge. Elle was blinded by her own pride, which is why she had both of her eyes plucked out.
Here's my ranking by chapters.
>Best: Chapter 5
>Chapter 8
>Chapter 3
>Last Chapter
>Chapter 2
>Chapter 9
>Chapter 4
>Chapter 1
>Chapter 6
>Worst: Chapter 7
This. The Japanese scenes are kino. The rest doesn't hold up as well.
That isn't even supposed to be in the original Cannes release. its also the cause of Tarantula and Uma's cold relationship to each other.
>She was really pissed off after that car crash he put her through
Uma is all legs and arms. Its her selling point. Of course she would be pissed.
>movie goes out of it's way to make a point of censoring the Bride's name that they even censor it when characters say it
>suddenly decide to drop that and tell the audience her name
I love Kill Bill and I kind of lament that we'll never see a sequel.
I think Tarantino is at his best when he leaves the unrelated, interesting, yet irrelevant dialogue to a minimum and I think Kill Bill was the perfect amount. Death Proof was the opposite - a few incredible set pieces with what feels like hours of yammering in between.
Wish we had a Kill Bill 3
Part 1 is pretty much garbage and I personally rank it as Tarantino's worst. Part 2 is much better and I'd rate it closer to the middle of the pack.
>it's one film
This would make it worse, given how long uneven it would be.
What films are at the top? Personally I love and prefer 2, but I consider 1 to be far from garbage.
Volume 2 is a asspull to le subvert expectations. Yeah dude just don't have an actual finishing fight and use le deus ex Machina because frick the audience.
This is evident from the teaser.
>actually wanting a big fight scene with 90 year old David Carradine
are you fricking moronic?
is this a kids board? this movie appeals only to edgy teenagers. if you're over 18 and you unironically get excited about kill bill or death proof, you'd better hand that fricking ID over.
Prefer the out of place dialogue of his other films, do ya?
>this movie appeals only to edgy teenagers.
Do you know where we are?
>Do you know where we are?
A place for bitter men who are still virgin in their thirties?
Vol. 2
1 was great, 2 was a joke and had one of the most disappointing endings ever.
I should rewatch these, I'm pretty sure I've only seen these Tarankinos once each.
it's a jackie brown board
