Sure Spider-Man should be very agile, quick, and should have very sharp senses; but he should NOT be able to punch avengers level threats. He doesn't have the strength to do so, and his webs aren't that strong to punch through someone like Ultron or Thor. That being said, I believe that Peter's greatest strength is in his intelligence, compassion, and overall character, and not his punching power.
