I thought the children that like this garbage already made a full length fan movie based on one of the books

      I'm not because

They did, and Warriors DMCA'd it and killed the project and all plans to adapt the other books because of this new animated series that they hadn't yet announced at the time.

        >because of this new animated series that they hadn't yet announced
are they really that fricking scared a bunch of amateur film makers are going to upstage them?

Warriors sold the film rights to China like a decade ago so probably. This new official series is being made by Tencent, after all.
Also the fan-film was surprisingly well-animated to be done for free by fans. It was The HUB tv movie quality animation. with amateur voice acting.

You should have seen what happened to Warhammer 40,000 animators

Could be kino if they aren't scared to get gorey with it like the books do. I somehow doubt they will since it's harder to get away with violent shit in kid's cartoons.

I think a team of really dedicated fans could make a better movie so I can see why they'd be scared to let that happen

try reading what you write after you write it next time. that usually helps to make sure that what you've written is at all coherent.

dont know much about it but what I have seen of it doesnt really compare to owls of gahoole or watership down or similar stuff

Kids love this shit, it's basically game of thrones with cats right? I've heard the books get dark and bloody

I imagine an animated series would make a lot of money

NOT EVERYTHING WITH CATS IS FRICKING LACKADAISY YOU homosexualARD

anything with cats in it is lackadaisy, sorry but it's true. like

I hear this is more like the cats killing eachother and ripping their throats out. I don't know how vividly the combat and injuries are described though. Also the cats starve and suffer a lot.

said, it's cats killing each other. lackadaisy does that too. so it's lackadaisy but with feral cats that walk on all 4s.

Quick question, does China own this? I keep hearing about it but can’t find anything.

No, lame. I swear ever since Claire Bell's The Named series found a resurgence in popularity, suddenly they started bringing out these knock-off "groups of animals in the wild' book series. This shit needs to die. If anything, actually good books need animated adaptations. I would kill for an adaptation of Alan Dean Foster's Spellslinger series.

Every kid I knew that was into this in elementary/middle school is a 100% bonafide furry right now. This is not good for the kids of the future.

the first books were for late millennials. It's still ongoing though. I know Millenial/zoomer/gen alphas that have read them at this point

Yeah it was pretty popular in the early 2000s. I remember getting the books on a recommendation back in 2003
