Not so fast! The Nun 2 is above, but FNaF might beat it. But it's at least past the latest Insidious, Scream, Evil Dead, Exorcist and Saw movies. That'll do FNaF, that'll do.
Only 2 of those 6 movies weren't direct movie franchise sequels or reboots (Talk to Me and M3gan, which were pretty successful in their own right), Hopefur Dispray debut for FNaF.
It's interesting in that except for awful Exorcist Believer, which underperformed, all of them were successful (even Scream VI that I also detested and Saw X which I liked), but the cost-benefit from the surprise hits was immense because their budget was like USD20 mil tops (in TtM's case, only USD 4,5 mil and the USD 20 mil FNAF budget was already paid for by Peawiener).
In sum: a great year for horror movies, particularly the modestly budgeted/marketed projects. In FNAF's case, it also shows that critics no longer matter.
Saw X seems to have awakened critics to the entire franchise (and Saw X's worldwide box office seems about to pass Jigsaw from 6 years ago), so it might just be the case FNaF is too early to have any footprint with critics. Saw movies got meh or worse reviews for years.
FNAF came out in 2014, that is 9 years ago. This means that people as young as 9 year old at the time of its release would be at least 18 years old by now, old enough to post here.

I never played the games, but I appreciated the weirdo tone, I'd call it a surprise, not some kind of best overall for the entire year. But in a year that is seeing few capeshit make any dent, I'd say FNaF was a pleasant surprise.

First movie was fun and I'll definitely watch the sequel if Toy Chica is in it.
I pirated it and i want a refund
Not even peak MLP made me furry but now I'm having thoughts
Goon For Chica

What did they mean by this
Shaggy 2 Dope
Stunning box office performance. In 2 weeks it surpassed movies such as:
Scream VI
Exorcist Believer
M3gan
Saw X
Talk to Me
Insidious Red Door

And some critics were predisposed against FNAF but it ended up being worse for them
>And some critics were predisposed against FNAF
~~*Critics*~~ hate Scott for being Republican and not apologizing.
Exactly. They also got triggered because of the white, straight main cast, though audience (including non-whites) didn't have a problem with it
>fnaf bros
there's a rule about age on Cinemaphile but i can't seem to remember it

yeah but no adult (even young adult) has THAT shit of taste... right?
Didn’t the guy who invented FNAF get cancelled or some shit? What was it for again?

I think the ick is from the fact that you wanted to take a girl out to see a video game movie based on a zoomer franchise
Well she's someone else's problem then. I already got what I wanted out of her.
I don't believe your story tbqh. If it were true and she wanted to go out with you, the creator could have donated to the KKK and she wouldn't mind
> fnaf bros,we won
What did we win?
A new movie series/franchise. Even capeshit isn't guaranteed to get that anymore consistently. FNaF is a shock to the vidya/horror system.
Whoa... what if classic mascots were horror? I wonder if there are any other movies like this...
I wouldn't be surprised if we got Critters and Puppetmaster ads out for the sequel for the odd parents out of the loop about this.

You don't need to read all that shit or watch Gaym Theory to understand the movie, you just need to be a Five Nights fan.
Bro the entire movie hinges on you pogging out when you see the lore or Game Theory Black person show up lmao
OMG IS THAT VENT FAN STARTING TO SLOWLY ROTATE???????? THAT MEANS BLURPLE EDDIE IS ABOUT TO STEAL MY SOUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
?si=_Zr8FaPTbLGwlhsl
