yeah, but creators still exaggerate things. It could have been that her room was on the top floor but would joke about how she was hidden in the attic, so in the cartoon she actually depicts herself as being in the attic. Or maybe she actually was in a (finished) attic like Kevin spends the night in at the beginning of Home Alone, but instead of drawing it as the reasonable room that it was, she decided to incorporate more of actual attic/crawlspace elements like she did.
This sort of thing is done in film/tv all the time, but it's especially the case in animation where everything needs to be a little 'extra' to bridge the gap between drawings and living/breathing characters. If a voice actor performed like they would for live aciton, it would feel flat and lifeless in animation. Music that would be too overbearing in live action is perfect for animation. A character who is supposed to be "short" depicted with realistic proportions would not be interpreted as such, so they have to push height differences to extremes.

It’s from the leaked pilot that was never actually officially released. In both the animatic first episode and the intro her bedroom looks completely different. Not sure why they bothered fully animating it.

I'm so triggered by this. I spent weeks in an attic doing work once and fiber glass insulation is no joke. You need to wear a mask and gloves and goggles as particles float everywhere. After I was done the clothes I was wearing were trash, the glass fibers had intertwined so much with the clothing fabric there was no chance in washing them to ever reuse for other around the house projects. And the clean up after the room after was no fun either (walk in closet). particles everywhere. I hope some kid never tries that after seeing that pic.
Rockwoll is usually dark greenish grey but fiberglass is almost always pink. They have the Pink panther advertising for them for crying out loud!

Attic space is also completely unconditioned too, its too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer to work, so you have a very narrow time frame to work on things in the spring and summer if temps are just right.

Yeah, they were shitty clothes going in but they were extra bad when I was done. Started to get itchy. Also I need to wear long pants and shirts too, as little exposed skin as possible. Every time I did attic work, I had to shower right after as to not spread that shit anywhere else in the house.

Yeah with repeated exposure. Many years ago we had a plumber come in who needed to access some pipes and replace something in the attic and he just went in with no mask we was hackin up a fricking storm.

Fiberglass tends to shed in tiny sharp shards which is why it's so awful to work with. When the pieces get in your skin it makes it really irritated and itchy and scratching just embeds the pieces further. It's why you want to be fully covered with long sleeves, pants, gloves, etc. Similarly, those shards can be inhaled and embed themselves in your lungs which can cause problems over time. Once it's encased in a wall it's fine, but if it's raw you definitely want to make sure to wear a mask, eye protection, the whole 9 yards.
