The whole story currently is that Eddie Brock is in a time paradox where he gradually evolves into different forms of Venom and the one in the pic is how he becomes Meridius (the final form). There's like 7 different forms and each one is more moronic than the other.

The even more moronic part is that there seems to be so little time between each version. It seems to be a few days at most. And its only between the last two forms that there's this a huge chunk of time.
So that means Eddie is doing some extreme schizo shit in a short time, with how big the difference in the personalities of each form are.
First four iterations work fine in that framework though. Eddie switched into Finnegan after realizing he was stuck in a time loop and everyone there is him. He was forced into being driven mad by Chasm nonsense event, turning into Bedlam, Bedlam took a long time to calm down and turned into Wilde. Wild took a long time to start asskissing his ultimate self to turn into Tyro, and you know the story of the latter two. You don't seem to have properly followed the run.

I mean, isn't that what the symbiotes were ALWAYS about? Braindead fun. Most Venom or Carnage comics can be summed up in these two words. And you can't deny that a planet-spanning symbiote is braindead fun.
I guess it maybe treats itself way too seriously with all this pathos and narration. But I guess the writer really wants to tell an epic meaningful cosmic-level story where symbiotes are a big deal. The moden kids (the few of them that still read comics) are probably into it, the way the 90s kids on Cinemaphile were into Lethal Protector and shit.
