Yeah, I think he's pretty solid. Takes most of his aspects from the BTAS version (not to mention the voice) while still having just enough edge to keep mature audiences invested.
He literally said he would indeed save Joker's life after all the people he has killed. That game is another example of media that shows Batman to be a monumental piece of shit who deserves to be hated and should never been seen as a hero.
The only reason Joker dies in the Arkham universe is because of plot devices similar to Joker dying in Return of the Joker. Batman himself is nothing more than a disgusting enabler of criminals.
>Return of the Joker
I think that movie executed Joker's death and Batman's reaction to Joker's atrocities much better than Arkham City did. >Batman in his rage-breaking point throws a knife at Joker, with the murderous intent no doubt. He actually tries to beat Joker to death but hesitates to deliver a killing blow due to experiencing a moral conflict, giving Joker a chance to stab him. >"That's not funny"
Meanwhile you have Batman barely reacting to Talia's death, Joker dying while getting the last laugh and Batman bridal-carrying Joker's corpse
He's pretty good. Paul Dini writing the first and second game created a pretty solid Batman, although I still wish Rocksteady had hired Dini again for Arkham Knight.
The version from Asylum and City, which was overseen by Dini, was a fairly good approximation of an "average Batman". Like take all the versions of the character ever and put them in a blender and that's roughly what you expect to get.
He went off the rails in Knight IMO and became just a punchdude with a jet car who's probably the biggest threat to the citizens of Gotham around.
Combined with the pc port actually destroying PCs and the bad car sections.
Asylum, City and Origins (in spite of it's issues) were really good, Knight could have done many things better, the premise was interesting they could have gone toward some Talia making a "clone" Damian-Bruce thing, accelerated product that is going to die anyways or something, all a part of "revenge" after the death of Ras during City
I replayed the games recently and this is what I found
Asylum is peak
City is good but overrated
Origins is really underrated
And I enjoyed Knight a lot more than I did the first time around. I'd go so far as to say it's good.

I thought he was great in Asylum but I started to like him less and less as the series went on.

Eh? What people did he kill?
You are a moron, when he said that he meant that he was going to save anyone, it doesn't matter who.
I misunderstood and thought you were saying Batman had killed people nvm
Yes, and he comes with some of my favorite incarnations of his villains
Wally Wingert gives Riddler a great personality
And imitation-Saruman as Hugo Strange is unbeatable, which only makes it more shameful that he barely appears in his own game
Yes, that was bizarre. I still like the level at which you defeat him.
I like the Riddler in the games a lot, but he’s associated with the most boring, least fun part of all of them.

Given the backlash over his death, I'd guess he was THE Batman of his generation except maybe behind Bale

He's basically just late DCAU Batman.
Knight ruined him
peaked in Origins
Yeah. City too a little with the Harley Quinn dlc but it really wasn't as bad.
Knight is what killed the series imo
>Guys it’s not Jason
>Okay tehe it’s Jason

It's literally the end of the series
Apparently he's stupid.
