Yes. Civies will never understand the struggle.
Make me a sandwich

Yes, it's shit. But not cringe like this mf:
Kitchen sucks.
Nobody looks like this.
I do.
Thank you for your cervix
yeah after your first dinner rush you'll know. it's basically a warzone.
Yeah it sucks. In my experience though, the idiots you work with make it 10x worse by not being able to regulate their emotions.
>IT'S ONLY 4 HOURS TILL CLOSING AND SOME CIVVIE JUST ORDERED THE FRICKING PATE, FUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKK
EXTRA CHEESE GET DOWNNNNNNN-aaaRREaaRrrghhHhh
it's not difficult in that it's hard it just sucks having to work with morons drug addicts and illegal immigrants
>MEEEEDDDDIIIICCCC!!!
>Just hold on son
>I NEED SOME FRICKING MUSTARD OVER HERE RIGHT NOW!
had some fricking civvie come in and demand a breakfast item at 11:34
Why don't they just hire more cooks if it's so hard to get the orders out on time?
The restaurant owners are greedy israelites.
because replacing one pot-smoking burnout with two pot-smoking burnouts doesn't increase net productivity, it reduces it
>X-RAY X-RAY TWO NINER. BRAVO SIX THIS IS BRAVO THREE DO YOU READ ME?!
worked in kitchens for a couple years. it's truly shit in every way.
YES CHEF
Yes. When I served at Arby's I too had to deal with a cute black chef who obviously wanted my wiener. It was very stressful, especially when she came over to my apartment and helped me cook dishes.
basically restaurants only will hire ex-cons to work kitchens and they're all high out of their mind and so when the lunch rush comes in and you have to make a 100 people's food in 10 minutes with zero help from a menu of 50+ items it makes you want to die
what are the mexicans doing when all this is happening?
they have their own restaurants that they run with their families and friends
i dont think ive seen a kitchen that wasnt staffed by at least 50% mexicans but i live in california
yeah that's super different, they just make up too much of the population to not fill out all the kitchens. But if you're up north or midwest they just stick to their own places
I heard some psychs and therapists wont even take on kitchen vets as clients. The PTSD is too intense.
GET THE FRICK OFF MY EXPO LINE CHEF
you're making food not practicing medicine, fighting wars, doing rocket science, or battling it out in court, or really doing anything important at all. the stakes are extremely, EXTREMELY low.
>OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THE OVERPRICED SANDWICH IS GOING TO TAKE AN EXTRA 3 MINUTES
literally no one gives a shit
it just depends on where you live and what your demographic is. If you're cooking for white conservatives, especially gen x'ers and boomers. You're fricked. They will come in, order things they hate or don't understand, scream red in the face of all the staff. Throw shit everywhere. Cry, complain. And then refuse to even pay
