Afreeca will not do any online casting nonsense, and prefers to do things either professionally or not at all. He also casts any upcoming games Afreeca has on tap as well such as Valorant. All the main starcraft players are signed to them and stream on there and Afreeca gets a cut of the donations. They host tournaments to keep an active scene going for their games.
GSL has been going for 12 years and they get decent ratings for it, so it can presumably go on as long as Afreeca wants to. I think Artosis is starting to tsee the beginning of the end and is bailing now. I would say it's smarter to ride it out until it dies in a few years time.
