Yank here,so is England just one big city with narrow roads connecting small neighborhoods?
      Those small roads look scary.
If an oncoming car was coming at you,you pretty much have to put 2 weels in the grass to avoid death.
Everything I said is based on television, pls correct me if I am wrong.

There are places to pull in and let cars pass every so often but when it gets really bad you need to call in a helicopter with an electro magnet to move the cars

Nah that's right. You get used to it though. There's actually decent roads connecting any towns/villages together but there's tiny roads like you said on more historic walking paths through the country to get to the neighbouring market. Don't have to use them but it's a bit more direct

        >so is england one big city

not really. it can be dense, but there is still a good amount of countryside between different towns. there a towns, villages, cities etc that all have different feels

        >Those small roads look scary.
they're fine if you go at a slower speed. sometimes people decide to speed down them and cause accidents, but that's rare especially since they aren't busy

My VERY limited information is bbased on television.
          I drive a truck,lorey I believe you call then,
I am afraid of narrow roads ,mountains are also scary but i leed the way for fellow travelers.gre u i8

It's one of the reasons we only have cabovers in the uk. Not just country roads but cities and towns are tight frickers so nothing longer than 16meters.
Main routes have passable roads and anything that's back roads you can manage but it does require stopping and somone reversing to a spot where the other can pass, that are fairly regular as someone mentioned and the really narrow stuff isn't that long when encountered unless it's a desolate area. If it's not a lorry then farm machinery will certainly be on those roads regularly, although the really big combines (not as big as yank stuff) will stick to night travel.
Visibility being so low with high hedges tends to make it pretty safe apart from the occasional unexpected sheep/cow crossing.

How the hell do hedges and low visibility make it safe? I don't think I want to visit England.

Driving is all about feeling, not seeing.

But seriously I forgot to mention those conditions force everyone to slow down. Although it's better in the dark because you can see headlights from a mile away unlike patchy lamp post cities with a thousand light sources.

I live in the countryside and go on holiday in parts like North Norfolk and North Yorkshire. Besides Northern Ireland and other countryside parts, it’s the only places worth living in.

If you're middle class in the countryside it's kino. If you're an impoverished city dweller it's an Orwellian hellscape where finding a white face in a crowd is near impossible.

If only the entire country was like this. Amazing show. I wish we made more stuff like this and less miserable stuff.

      pretty much this.
However, there are even some cities that are lovable, believe it or not. I'm from Bath - 90% white, full of lovely Georgian architecture and famous for its Roman ruins. There are a few other nice cities, like Edinburgh. It won't be long before these are ruined, 'diversified', though, and they're increasingly only affordable to bankers buying their second homes.
