yes, it goes up and down a bit over the seasons but john noble is kino.
>but john noble is kino.
Yep, him and Asterisk were too good.
I thought it was spelled Asterix
Asterism.
I remember it being good but I cant remember anything about it
>PETER
>IT'S TIME TO MAKE SOME LSD
Yes. Consistent quality. Not too many lows but at the same time not too many highs.
Yeah, it's very much ripping off X-Files but it managed to stick the landing of their mytharc way better than X-Files did. Season 4 was a bit weak, and 2x11: Unearthed was so bad that on the DVDs it's not counted as an episode (you have to go into the bonus features to watch it), but overall it's a great show.
Unearthed is a bonus feature because it got bumped off the schedule by sports stuff & contained mythology stuff they later dropped before it was ever released on home video
It starts out good, but when time traveling is introduced into the mix it turns to shit.
But it's comfy shit
no, it's moronic
> Comfy
That's why I love Blacklist. I put on an episode ,then fall immediately to sleep and while it plays in the background.
There's no time traveling you fricking homosexual
its kino
The b***h was hot. I forgot about her , then I saw her in The Last of Us, and boy did that wall hit back hard.
you didnt realize they made her older for the show, just like pedro pascal?
in the flashback episodes, where she's her actual age, she's still fine as frick
Dr. Walter Bishop : It's all because of that temptress; she tricked my son with her carnal manipulations, and he fell right into her vagenda.
Based Walter
If you're a chud, you'll like it.
Jasika Nigcole
>no you cant make fun of my character this is literally racism
>caring about anything an actor says when they're not acting
no, frick off. astro is a cute character, I don't even need to know her name irl.
This makes me like Fringe even more. Don't be made at the directors ya dumb b***h, be mad at your parents for spelling your name Jasika instead of Jessica. You think Polish Americans never have problems with people mispronouncing their names?
Give it a watch OP. As others have said it's like the X-Files but with tighter writing and a better overarching plot. And Jon Noble is fantastic as the character Walter. Seriously, he can make you laugh and cry.
>Demented old git forgets her name every now and then
>OMG IT'S A HECKIN RACISM
Just have a nice day already.
I liked it, watched it when it was airing, still rewatch it occasionally. Season 5 is a fricking trip.
Shut up Ester.
FRICK THIS b***h
they could have got a monkey to do her role
I feel that it would've been a more famous series if they had chosen another actor for [B]eter.
Oh yeah if there's one criticism other than season 4 it's that Joshua Jackson has the charisma of wet wallpaper so totally that even chuds on this board don't mind the male lead being sidelined by his own show in favour of Best Female TV Sci-Fi Protagonist aka Agent Olivia Dunham, Anna Torv is just that good in it (well, except at doing impressions...)
>That episode where Anna Torv doing the impression of Leonard Nimoy
Shit was so silly
More like CRINGE lmao
Nah, it was actually pretty good. Worth checking out.
do it for her
>doing it for the wrong universe
ngmi
I had a crush on this girl with a butt chin in elementary school cause she looked almost exactly like her. God damn I guess it's time to goon again
It's so funny how fans liked the alt-universe more than the OG universe
Really damn good
One of the only series that actually did alright with the multiverse trope imo.
Literally watching it right now. The blatant sprint and ford shilling and the William bell possessing Oliva storyline are a shit. Other than that its kino.
First half of season 4 takes a nosedive but it recovers. Does better at an internal mythology and mystery box arc than X Files, Lost, or other predecessors ever did but is proudly rooted in pulp schlock so isn't as expansive in its themes as any of those bigger shows, it's just a decent dark-yet-camp sci-fi horror show.
Also worth mentioning at the time it aired the main thing I saw Fringe around online for, other than its viral marketing, was the fact it has such a dedicated cult fanbase they broke the Firefly curse. The show got moved to a death slot by Fox and looked sure to be cancelled but they got petitioned so hard by the fans they actually relented not once, but two seasons in a row, which bought the show enough time to wrap things up decently. Some really original sci-fi concepts too, which is surprising for a 'genre' show this late to the game. Some really eldritch 50s-60s Cordwainer Smith/Harlan Ellison -type sci-fi influence on top of the 70s-90s body horror influences too.
Yeah I remember the petitions.
yeah it's good
the motws aren't as good as the xfiles overall but the mytharc is significantly better because it takes risks and mixes up the formula, something the xfiles should have done as it went on
Just started a fresh rewatch of this today for the first time since it originally aired. I like to think Lance Reddicks character, Broyles, is actually Lt. Daniels who changed his name and kept getting promoted to an absurd security clearance and now has to deal with all this crazy bullshit.
>kept getting promoted
jej
Great show, the ending shot of season 1 still was one of the biggest "holy shit" moments I ever had watching a season finale.
It can be fun. I dont know if I'd call it good
if you wanna skip some of the stnadalones. here .. but most are comfy

ANNA TORV
Its good if you enjoy stupid shit taking itself completely serious.
