The first old one is great for its time, the second old one is watchable, that one is pure garbage, the last one is only good if you're obsessed with McKenna Grace, otherwise that one is just fricking sad

I have no idea who thought it was a good idea to use a mute CGI ghost of Ramis, they should have either gone all the way and hired a voice actor to imitate him, or if they really wanted to be respectful or something just written it to exclude him entirely, or not made it at all which might have been the wisest choice

Agreed. I don't think Ghostbusters 2 is as good as one, not in the same tier. However it has some good ideas and scary scenes. The concept of a haunted painting is a good one. Just feels like it lacks the scope of the first film.
River of Slime, Dark Room Fire, and Ghost Train are great ideas. Some great imagery/ideas in the City montage near the end when all hell breaks loose.
I feel like Ghostbustes 2 is a bit darker than the first film in tone.

The first one is good, the second meh. The 2016 remake - I couldn't make it past 30 minutes, even knowing what to expect. All the anti-male and other woke elements aside, it's just tiresomely drawn-out filler.
Definition of forced, it has even less reason to exist than the McKenna Grace one

Also... I remember the director (a prissy gay israelite) saying he just kind of left the actresses alone to improvise. It shows. It's awful.

Can't disagree with this. God, I miss watching that cartoon as a kid. It's too bad they didn't take ideas from that series for a movie. It had many great episodes.
If I had the budget and rights and skill/knowledge, I'd make a movie about a team of Ghostbusters encountering the Sand Man. Loved that episode.
