Of course he is. Bickle in 70s was still an anomaly because he was a lonely antisocial guy, no kids, no wife, no real job, etc. Now it is the norm.

Yes, the society has nothing to offer for any of us and we're all slowly going insane from the hopelessness and desperation our masters have imposed on us. We have no future and all the society can offer us to placate our fears is to drug us into a state of docile apathy or gaslight us into forgetting that things didn't used to be this terrible.

Women literally feel unhappy all the time and constantly complain about being unhappy.

Black people literally think the White man is out to get them, think other blacks are being holocausted every minute by police, and burn down homes when a criminal is killed.

Tell me: what's a better alternative, NOT having your material needs met? If you waste all of your free time and money on frivolities, that's your fault, not society's.

Material needs is food and a place to sleep.
Owning anything else won't contribute to a person's happiness. Making some dumb argument like "but you own a gaming console and don't have to do field work you should be happier than a person this doesn't apply to" is absurd.

              >Material needs is food and a place to sleep. Owning anything else won't contribute to a person's happiness.
You are completely incorrect. Material possessions aren't the only ingredient towards personal fulfillment, but they are a component of it, if not a critical component of it.
Owning a car allows you to go where you want, when you want and be in control of your own transportation and what you do with your time and when. Owning art supplies or a computer with creative software or things like that allows you to express yourself and engage in creative, constructive activities, as well as be able to retain and own what you create. Owning movies, games or books; or means by which to access them; allows you to engage with Creative Media that the vast majority of the human population finds very fulfilling. Etc.
What fulfillment received from different sources will obviously vary from person to person based on their personality, these are all examples that absolutely contribute to someone's overall happiness in one way or another.
Pretending that "material possessions have NO value" is at best naive hippie drivel and at worst gaslighting from commies who unironically want to take your material possessions for themselves and want you to be complacent about it.

Hell, I bet YOU own more than just "food and a place to sleep", Mr. Enlightened Guru.

nta. What you're missing is that those material possessions are worthless without meaningful and healthy relationships in your life. It's always been relationships that provide meaning. And primarily familial relationships, because those bonds aren't as weak as bonds of friendship that break when someone has kids or something.
But modern consumer-centric society has seriously damaged families to promote further consumption. We're inundated with propaganda to hate our families and to want divorce, among other things, because these are good for the GDP (more houses, more cars, more eating out, less pooling of resources).
Point is, your material quality of life doesn't matter if you have no meaningful and healthy relationships.
This used to be an exclusively rich person problem. But now it's a societal problem.

                where it said
                >Material possessions aren't the only ingredient towards personal fulfillment, but they are a component of it, if not a critical component of it.
Literally in the first two sentences of the entire post.

It doesn't really matter if you qualify your statement but tgen continue to focus solely on materialism, because it shows that you are, in fact,
                >missing is that those material possessions are worthless without meaningful and healthy relationships in your life.
You mistake comfort for fulfillment. Possessions aren't fulfilling. Your examples included transportation, art and self-expression, and entertainment. None of these give life meaning.
Yeah, being comfy is comfy, but to think that being comfy is being fulfilled is just your brain on marketing.

It is. The problem is men just don't know how to use it. You have to try to set up a date or meet up as soon as possible, within the first few messages and schedule the date same day or next day. And men also think if they just put up a few selfies of themselves women will fall into their lap. If your photos are bad and getting you no interest, why is that? If you're fat, lose weight. If you're ugly, get a better haircut and clothes. If you don't have any fun/interesting photos, go out and do fun and interesting things. Its not rocket science.

I agree, the glaring problem with modern dating and especially online dating is that women have thousands of side options at their fingertips. However, 99% of those options are dumb cumbrain simps. If men were taught to have self-respect and only pursue worthy women, there wouldn't be a problem. A lot of the bad behavior in modern women is because men are too spineless to push back.
Every bad behavior in a woman is due to being granted implicit permission to act that way by the majority of men.
