lmao I was thinking the same thing. Never have a read a post by a female and Twitter and was like YES YES YES the whole way through. Frick Christopher Nolan and those cringe ass batman movies. Heath Ledger's joker was stupid then and its stupid now.

Memento is solid. Most of Nolan's stuff is well-executed visually. His main problem is writing and he's especially unsophisticated at writing dialogue at times. I don't get the feeling that's he's trying to be deep or intellectual (whatever that is). He just sucks at writing dialogue. So complex topics come out sounding moronic. But he adds complexity to his plots for the purpose of suspense and action on screen, not for some intellectual exercise.
online discourse has little to nothing to do with Nolan's success. the vast majority of people buying movie tickets are not watching youtube video essays.
nolan has been making those blockbusters since 2005. what changed was every other blockbuster director from that time period stopped working and so nolan only has to compete against marvel movies made by mumblecore directors and a24 movies about gay Black folk with aids or even random korean trash that looks like a tv show
and? Sitting on your fat arse and watching a movie isn't a skill c**ts need to stop pretending like you have to be a genius to watch a fricking movie. If it's fun/interesting I'll watch it. Simples.
So she's saying an improvement from the bottom of the barrel intellectual standard in movies is something to deride. And the fact that the improvement seems to have registered amongst popular audiences is something to deride. So she's interested in keeping people dumb so that she looks smart. Yeah, and she's calling other people "pseudo-intellectuals." Yeah. Gotcha.
>Twittertard is right on the money
well frick me

>March 10
It's April, anon. Why would I care about shit from a year ago?
I wonder what her idea of an intellectual film is.
>nolan fan had his little fee fees hurt
why don't you fricking CRY
That's a very disproportionate emotional reaction from you.
israel has a right to defend xirself, chud!
>asks a simple question

>Nolan makes movies for the average person
>average person likes him
Ok?
So uh exactly like Sherlock Holmes, Iron Man, and Donald Trump
probably. his movies arent smart.

it's true, but at least nolan fanboys aren't as bad as snyderpajeets

>nolan makes blockbusters
no shit? literally nobody thinks otherwise
fake twitter hot take for pseudo intellectuals
The only way you are triggered enough to write a diatribe like this about Nolan's movies is because you're frustrated at them for going over your head
Nolan's movies are smarter than other blockbusters, yes. That's not a high bar though.
>act holier than thou
>get ratioed
like clockwork

Nolan is a pretentious twit and is also an enthusiastic supporter of Zak Snyder. No coming back from that.
Yes and no. Nolan is mid as frick, but I don't know the extent he believes his own hype.
No. It's a random envious contrarian ranting pointlessly about a successful director whose technical mastery is beyond dispute.
without the internet the films would still exist. so no
that's a lot of buzz words but yes nolan is a hack
He's right but Nolan is pretty inoffensive compared to marvel and disney movies right now.
Replace Nolan with Villeneuve and he is 100% correct
