The first season had an interesting visual style and a somewhat interesting premise, using myth as shorthands for mental problems, but overall had a fairly shallow depiction of those, for how much talking it had. And I felt like it half of that talking consisted of wordplay that doesn't translate.
The second season was the point after which I gave up. All the times the show started to play off sexual harassment of characters that either look like kids, or simply are kids, as harmless jokes got to me. "No, it's totally fine if your brother touches you, just harmless fun, just siblings fooling around, haha." Yeah, no, frick off. I don't say this often about any piece of media but the content genuinely reflects poorly on the creators personality.
Anime/manga always boils down to the male author thinking that only his sexual lust matters and the mental harm he can create with it simply doesn't exist. Definition of advocating politics that only benefit themselves.
>yes but for about 5 episodes with senjougahara in it
filtered so hard
She's not best girl, she's not even top 5. Monkey paw mogs you lil bro. Adult vampire mommy, 20 year old snail, cat girl and of course the bee...
Senjougahara story is a great romance story her and the MC that anyone can relate to. I'm not even gonna pretend to understand all the Japanese puns to fully enjoy the rest of the anime.
Not all arcs are good. Hitagi End is an amazing arc, but you have to watch quite a bit to get there.
Don't listen to the moralgay anon, the ecchi is based.
I have tried to watch it several times. I don't care if something is tranime or not, if it shows up in my filtered search (only filter out bollywood spam) as highest rated I watch it.
I have very conventional tastes an usually agree with the IMDB score to within 1 or 2 points, inculding on anime, with the exclusion of recently, since normies now know about it and have been giving everything in the past 3 years 10/10s.
This is an outlier though. Unlike every other 8+/10 anime on IMDB, this is definately coomerslop, supported mostly by its popular e-girls. The civil engineering fetish the author has is also gross a souless. Imagine an ahego e-girl in front of a brutalist building, you've got this anime.
t. guy who loves anime but can't stand this light novel romance horse shit.
User ratings are a bad way of finding anime. Because who do you think is sitting around leaving ratings for anime on the internet? Do you think it's smart people with a good sense of quality? People with a normal attitude towards sex etc?
No it's fricking freaks who jerk off 6 times a day, and don't watch any other normal TV/Film at all, so their standards are incredibly low.
This is the kind of guy that watches anime these days. Its really quite remarkable to see how popular it's become among the masses. Not only that, but he thinks he's actually not a part of the "normies".
People need to stop making anime threads so I don't have to see people like this.
Best anime series by a lot. It's got a pretty autistic watch order so look for a chart, i think MTBB has a torrent on nyaa with them separated out in a proper watch order.
The completely unnecessary prequel killed it for me. Other than the nonsensical premise of how Araragi became a vampire, half the characters have completely differently from how they do in every other season, to the point I had to check whether the light novels the prequel was based on wasn't written by a different person entirely.
And, of course, you have the usual "Christianity is bad" fetish the Nips can't let go.
Oh, then please explain to me why exactly Araragi felt the need to save a vampire? It's specifically stated he was not charmed by her into doing so.
Next please explain why Senjouhara has a completely different personality, and openly flirts with Araragi.
And then please explain to me why they suddenly turned him moronic, and he didn't realise she has obvious romantic feelings towards him.
>Oh, then please explain to me why exactly Araragi felt the need to save a vampire? It's specifically stated he was not charmed by her into doing so.
did you see those fat tiddys? >Next please explain why Senjouhara has a completely different personality, and openly flirts with Araragi.
He cured her. >And then please explain to me why they suddenly turned him moronic, and he didn't realise she has obvious romantic feelings towards him.
He likes the cat girl but has an inferiority complex and doesn't think he's good enough to be with her so he eventually chooses crab.
If you paid attention instead of ADHD spazzing out you would have seen all that.
You forgot the most important question - why does Araragi even WANT to protect the vampire? She's an absolute, unrepentant monster that killed hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent people throughout her "life."
So... he went into the metro... followed her voice... saw her... went up to her... and willingly gave his blood... for self preservation? And he explicitly was not charmed into doing so.
Right... you're just a moron defending a coomer anime with massively overstretched episodes.
it's got a unique visual artstyle, that's about it
beyond that, it's the most generic anime series you'll ever watch, to the point that i was unable to stomach any other anime titles for a year - the pretentious pseudointellectual undertone certainly did not help
what pseudointellectual undertone? i suspect this is something that doesn't exist in most cases and is just projected by midwits in an attempt to criticize something while simultaneously fooling themselves into thinking they're smarter than the show/movie/book/whatever
I watched the one with the vampire e-girl who turns into a woman and puts her head inside her own brain. Didn't know it was apparently a whole franchise, shit was weird and the ending was kinda meh and disappointing.
go to the tranime board.

frick off you fricking troony homosexual
same actually although fanservice didn't bother me at all - first season was really good and all the next ones were decent at best
Anime/manga always boils down to the male author thinking that only his sexual lust matters and the mental harm he can create with it simply doesn't exist. Definition of advocating politics that only benefit themselves.
Unironically my exact thoughts.
I will now watch your tranime.
yes but for about 5 episodes with senjougahara in it
the rest are boring

It's better when you're a teenager and feel superior for liking things with an air of intelligence
Kino.

Anon what's some anime you enjoy besides the usual suspects (Cowboy Bebop et. al)
Frick off.

I dropped it after one episode. Felt like I was watching reddit.
I remember furiously jerking off to that anal doujin back in 2010 or 2011 or something on Fakku before they sold out
Watch Bunny senpai instead. It's Monogatari for normal people.

imagine being this gay lmao

1.Non answer.
2. Wrong, she has a different personality from the get go.
3. Oh, so we're going for the usual oblivious/low self esteem route?
Right, so it's shit. Thanks for confirming it.
>Right, so it's shit.
/filtered/

>Christianity is bad
That's a problem?
When it's crammed into a series set in Japan about Shinto mythology? Yes, because it's forced into it just to satisfy their seething.
Christcuck shit has been getting pushed in Japan since the 1500s dumbass.
I too watched Silence.
It is if you're Christian. You might get your feelings hurt.

watch the show
It insists upon itself. Also worst girl wins.
I just want a good romance anime without any Jappu creators shoehorning their fetishes in or KYAAAA shit. What are my options /atv/?
Kare Kano (but stop watching after episiode 18)
>Hideako Anno
Intradesting. Thank you anon.
It's twilight for chronic jerking off teenage boys
Never watched past Nisemonogatari, does anything else later in the series hit the high of Bake?
Yeah, pretty much all of it from Second Season onwards.
I liked the first season the rest was just an excuse to pad out haremshit
It's Xavier Renegade Angel for morons.
I watched the one with the vampire e-girl who turns into a woman and puts her head inside her own brain. Didn't know it was apparently a whole franchise, shit was weird and the ending was kinda meh and disappointing.
