it's passable. It's not as good as season 1 but it has its strengths

yeah, but after 20 years it's hard to expect VAs to be the same

No, it’s boring bad. They neutered JFK and outright removed Gandhi. I never liked Abe in the first place but turning him into a cuck who desperately wants JFK’s sloppy seconds is really sad.

It's SOME good but it barely works as a continuation of the series, the humor and writing in general is so different

Seems like it was written by and for the new fandom of the show

i really really like it. it falls into the trappings of cliches of people time travelling to 2023 and finding out what tiktok is. it moefies the characters a bit, and the musical ep did get a bit too SNL for my taste but it makes up for it by being funny. the reptile girl is a great addition to scuds and butlertrons dynamic. for an adult animation it really feels like they care about the quality of the show

I dropped it after watching the leaked first episode.
Maybe some of Cinemaphile can tolerate crap but I can't.

The new season has less edge than the previous one, but it's just nice to see something where the people who made it actually cared compared to Velma.

there are some really good moments but if you want more s1 clone high stuff you'll be mostly disappointed

The premise of dropping millenial high schoolers into a zoomer high school is a bit forced.

That said there were plenty of times I laughed out loud and the Mr. B "very special episode" was actually well made and clever.

Scudworth and Mr B are still great.
Joan is a worse version of Season 1 Abe.
Abe is a punching bag who barely takes centre stage.
JFK has been neutered into a lovable puppy.
They flat out forgot how to write Cleo.
Harriet is fine, but her being a Harriet Tubman clone feels barely relevant for her gags.
Confucius varies between annoying and fine.
Frida is actually just a bit boring.
Topher is entertaining but doesn’t appear as much as the other newbies.

I think there are still some fun lines and moments in there so it’s not a total waste to watch. Stronger episodes than others for sure, but each episode has at least one laugh.
One of the biggest issues are that outside of the main cast, the other clones are just silent background extras. George Washington Carver and Sacagawea have some rare moments as the B Cast, but outside of a couple of lines each for Marie Antoinette, Ghengis Khan, Van Gogh, and newcomer Ivan the Terrible, the rest of the clones stay silent throughout.
The other big issue is that it feels less like a parody of teen dramas and has become an actual teen drama. The relationships aren’t a joke, and most spring out of nowhere. The one with the most natural build up is pure drama but also ends the very next episode.
