Is it even possible for a movie remake to "fix" WFM?

I've seen some people say that the pacing could be cleaned up in a movie series, that the show could be fixed... But I've also seen other complaints that there just wasnt enough time in the show for everything they wanted to put into it. And a movie series is going to have even less time than an anime generally.

Plus the prologue and ending are just so disjointed from the rest of the show. The space magic stuff we never even get a hint at until the ending, and the prologue has a completely different tone and is 20 years ago. Its hard for me to imagine them fusing them into the movies.

How would you go about fixing it if movies? I really think this show is unsalvageable.

For starters, the show isn't that bad to even need a remake, if they're going to do anything else with Ad Stella then just animate a new entry in its universe or make more manga.
Remakes are a waste of time 90% of the time, just because G Reco has good compilation movies doesn't mean it'll go for every show.

idk, if G Reco needed the compilation movies to uhh, re-pace it, WFM could certainly use similar treatment

The pacing for Gwitch is "fine" the only issue is that it needed another plot line to run parallel or more details on the Earth vs Spacian plotline. As the moment Gwitch feels like apart of an OVA series that explores a side story

It'll get some novels and maybe manga but they won't animate more of this crap.

It doesn't need a remake. Just move onto a new better series.

IBO’s story shit the bed, it didn’t fumble the same way G-Witch did in terms of pacing or anything. IBO was a purposeful decision to make it bad, most people want to think that for G-Witch it was unfortunate pacing issues. You sound mad that people are criticizing it at all.

    >The space magic stuff we never even get a hint at until the ending
What about the two other scenes we had inside the data storm before, when Elan-5 and Suletta both got sucked into weird psychic dreamspaces inside Aerial?

Theres a huge difference between "permet can show you illusions/inside the machine" and "permet can deactivate a space lazer that you were originally supposed to need a missing part which was never recovered to even reach and dissolve robots"

Ideally, 3-4 movies would be needed to fix WfM. Here's what a compiliation movie treatment can bring to the table for WfM:

    1. Nortrette-centered flashbacks.

    2. Getting rid of the "basement" scenes (relegating them to flashbacks when needed).

    3. Show the full conversation Suletta had with Elan-5 about Elan-4 (with the "basement" scenes centered on Elan-5 and Norea used here as flashbacks to have Elan-5 add to why he opted to offer everything he knew about Elan-4 to Suletta).

    4. Actually show what happened to Dominicus Corps and Shin Sei Development Corporation after Benerit Group's dissolution.

what would you do with the dropped plot threads, like for example, explaining quiet zero's development (what the missing piece is, why nortrette is in their)? Would you just remove the "missing piece?"

    >The space magic stuff
What's magic about Suletta and Eri raising their permet score together(ep 9 and 17) or using the shutdown action Aerial has been doing for the past few episodes.

No because that's literally ignoring that we have seen most of this stuff happen before in this show.

No unless they did an entirely different story like the Escaflowne movie. One of the main problems with G-Witch is that it's too slow with the school in the first half and too rushed in the second half. It needs more time not less.

It's time to move on. A gwitch movie should explore something new like terraforming or deep space exploration or even resolving the bad political situation on Earth.
