It's a really good background show, when it grabs your attention it grabs it. If it doesn't you're doing something else anyways.

Good comfort show, nice to have on the background while your doing chores or don't really know what else to watch. The family has a good dynamic and it's very wholesome. Has a bunch of funny moments every now and then too but they lean more into the "wholesome cute family" dynamic past Season 10.
It's a really sweet show. I think it's a really nice small comfy show that I watch as I fall asleep. Watched it a lot when my mother passed away so it's got a special place in my heart.

Not at all. It's saccharine crap about a poor bastard with one of the worst animated families ever created. If a plot isn't about them torturing him with their insistent bullshit, it's about the weird kids having quirky low stakes adventures that wouldn't be out of place on Nickelodeon. That or terrible singing. 7/10 thanks to the porn
I think the first 5 season or so are very good. The humor evolves a bit from being more crass in seasons 1-2 to a bit more refined by seasons 3-5. It’s all enjoyable for different reasons. However, as someone who has been watching it for literally 8 years, I will say the later seasons really suck. The writing just gets bad to the point where every episode is only an A plot and B plot, and often they’re both bad. Then they throw in the “story” episodes each season where each kid tells a story, which I hate. And some episodes in later season they really get up their own ass and try to be too creative and artsy. It becomes a big departure from the early seasons that excelled on well written characters, humor, and scripts. There is the occasional decent, or even good, episode in the later seasons, but they are few and far between.
This is one of the worst shows I have ever watched. I don’t understand how anyone can enjoy it on any level. It’s not funny, nothing happens, the premise, setting, and the characters are boring. It’s visually hideous. Frick Bob's Burgers.

In the pilot they were cannibals, which would have been cool to continue. Instead they went la wacky kids and neighbors route.
