Is it just me or is the pacing really bad? Also the show is boring for following the comic1 to 1.

lol
lmao even
The main plot is the same and predictable.
Ok what does 1 for 1 mean and what were you expecting moron a brand new story?
I was expecting an adaption like Marvel and DC. What I got was the comic + slice of life filler. No different than anime and manga.
Normalgay
That's not what it means to be 1 to 1. The show is wildly different from the comic. Characters and plots are completely different.
Anime is almost always completely different from manga. Entire arcs will skipped or play out differently.
Pacing is better than the comic. Moving Robot's clone body up before Angstrom Levy. Moving the Invincible War teases up alongside Angstrom Levy and the return of Omni-Man.
>why did they change the skin color or gender of every white male heroes form the comics except one who is barley in the show in the first place
>produced by seth rogan and some other members of his tribe
ah that's why.
woke stuff aside how anyone thought it was a good idea to introduce an alien character for throw away fight in season 1 even through it fundamentally changes the set up was beyond me. those you know what don't even understand the universe they are supposed to turn into a show.
Seth Rogan is probably as smarmy and as much of an Incel Inside as any other fat white chud on this site or on line - the only difference is that he got lucky and someone hasn't stepped up yet to trash his luck like Jonah Hill just got done. So Seth has the cash to afford hookers and even more drugs and is not as stupid to think he's still going to have a real, much less long, acting career like Will Farrell or Jim Carrey still do, so he turned to producing.
If you think Seth is woke, you're truly stupider than most idiots here.

Kirkman's shitty comic is almost 20 years old, which in comic book years is more than several adult lifetimes.
The problem is that the story was never really that good, and Kirkman is a shitty creative with little original imagination. What started as a thinly veiled rip on the Justice League (But With Violence And Gore) which got some sales due to the sheer level of blood splatter (e.g. red ink) on every action double page spread, became a parody of what Kirkman now claims he was parodying from the start, when he was likely just high and spit balling. The show sucks BECAUSE he gets to be involved and he's so beholden to his own stupidity that he wouldn't let someone take his toys and play with them and come up with something better - no - they have to work with his shitty fan fic tier stupidity from several years past.
this makes the most sense
I noticed all the alien races throughout Invincible are simple and uncreative
>Viltrumites: super strong humans that are really into using senseless violence and conquering things
>Allen's race: super smart humans with orange skin, one eye, and weird feet
>Battle Beast race: human body but with lion head
>Thraxans: mixed opinion, but that's probably because an insect race inherently looks alien
>Earth's fish race: fish with legs
>Martians: a bland design probably inspired by dc martian
I was starting to get the impression that the world of Invincible was a complete after thought to all the gorey action, and it makes sense if the comic started out as a rip
A shitty rip off of DC
>seth rogan
>white
lol
Anyways what makes Invincible good (by capeshit standards, it's sub-mediocre generally) was that it's a coherent narrative with a beginning, a middle, an end, with the protagonist growing and defeating the villains philosophically and not just physically. Mark is born, he grows, he defeats Thragg and the Viltrumite Social Darwinism, he grows beyond their purely self-referential mindset and realizes that if Viltrumites are indeed so superior then they have no reason to lord over space slime, he ends up redeeming his father both literally (by becoming him as his Viltrumite DNA erases the 1% of human DNA that he has) and metaphorically (by turning him away from the Social Darwinism and accepting his place as king). Without this coherent storyarc it's just another of the gazillion shitty "what if superman BUT EVIL" stories that will keep happening until DC and Marvel finally get to officially do that "write eachothers characters" thing they wanted to do in the 80s.
>thaedus (the obvious viltrumite mole)
And this is why screwing up the pacing is bad. Thaedus isn't the mole because he's the fricking rebel who killed Argall AND the one who made the Scourge virus. The mole is one of the two brain-computer aliens. This is on top of completely screwing up the actual payoff of Omniman killing the first set of the Guardians (after a period of "what is he up to"). Unless Thaedus is trying to make Allen's "what doesn't kill me makes me stronger" bit kick in this is just completely fricking moronic.
thanks for the spoiler, butthole. id already been spoiled of a bunch of interesting stuff from the comics, lets add into that because why tf not.
If you REALLY were that interested, you should have read it, like I did after s1 ended. Instead you're chilling here, scrolling thru threads that are ALWAYS full of spoilers / comic discussion.
It's totally on you
(Also I am not that anon who spoiled you stuff, but it's not like comic came out yesterday. These issues came out almost 20 years ago...)
>crying about spoilers
go back to r*ddit
>with the protagonist growing and defeating the villains philosophically
this
When he sees Cecil with all the cyborg versions of his dead alternate selves and even Cecil was like "uhh you're not gonna choke me?" was one of the best examples of growth
is Invincible strong enough at that point in the story to wipe the floor with all of those cyborg alternate selves?
or does he trust Cecil that much?
i was saddened by allen's death i liked him
no ded
he was on life support at the end of the episode
yeah but then thaedus (the obvious viltrumite mole) turned it off. i assumed he died, but now i get the feeling hes gonna come back.
i really fricking hope hes not dead
he nice and earth needs more defenders because one viltrumite could stomp them all as they are
If he was gonna be dead in the story, he'd have died after being ripped apart in space.
He's a viltrumite but not the mole. Why would a mole be taking people like Allen aside and letting them know he's a mole?
he's definitely the mole, why else would he turn off allen's life support
Faking his death
Pacing is WAY fricking better than in the comics
You can't talk to actual comic readers in a animated adaptation thread. Well I read it, but I have no interest talking to the rest of this zoomer trash. They ought to stick to their skippy toilet cartoons.
Story lacks cohesion
Also, I like how one of the council members has literal Mole Teeth. Let's name him "Red Herring".
