Their only choice is to keep her on payroll and try to quietly have someone take over until there's a big success and she "retires". The hostage situation she's created is tremendously based if she did it intentionally.

The system-- and includes ALL sectors-- is probably very worried about Hollywood's lossof credibility and global relevsnce. They'll keep purging and will get rid of her eventually as you say in a way that cleans the slate and buries her disastrous mindset. Anon, Disney has 200 million dollars in cash fluidity. The "Indiana Jones" film bombing will make a LARGER loss than that. And next year they are contractually obligated to buy out Hulu, and that will cost them anything between 8-15 BILLION dollars.

Kennedy expedited the ruination of Disney, in other words. If this doesn't get her "retired of her own free will", it means she literally has to have videos of Disney executives eating small children alive. Regular sex blackmail doesn't give you such an umbrella.

It's just to test the waters with the shareholders. Disney only cares about them. Not the fans or the parks or whatever. They are terrified of their shareholders just dumping everything for a loss.

I, not even joking, own 55 shares of Disney. I paid close to $8,500 for it a few years ago. It was worth less than half of that last time I checked. I would sell and take the loss for tax reasons, but I am holding because it will eventually come back.

The fact that the gaming division is so badly managed is baffling.

      >no lightsaber dueling game
      >no bounty hunting game
      >no action-adventure games based on the sequel trilogy
      >no star wars strategy, tower defense or puzzle games
      >no racing games
      >no card collecting games
      >no rpgs set in the universe

I mean what the everloving frick are they even doing. You can mine the property for shit to make games out of for the next hundred years and they've been doing frick all with it.

That game with the redhead was servicable but a bit too difficult for randos to pick up and essentially dark souls with a star wars coat of paint.

They've tried to remake KOTOR. Twice. They're on their third attempt now.

We used to get at least two Star Wars games a year for decades. Frick those braindead homosexuals, they don't get how George sold Star Wars at all. He was all about toys and games for boys for years and they just didn't get it.

Part of it is down to the fact AAA games take fricking ages to make nowadays. Like Jedi Survivor came out three and a half years after Fallen Order whereas 20 years ago it would have been around 18 months. They could still make some lower budget stuff to fill the space in between. I imagine there's loads of indie developers or mid-level companies like Focus or THQ Nordic chomping at the bit to make a Star Wars game.

I think she only held on as long as she did because of Iger and she pushed the diversity angle hard. Chapek wanted to get rid of her, but somehow she managed to persuade everyone to let her stay until Indy 5 was released, the BO performance of that movie was her last chance and she fricked it, now everyone including Iger is sick of her and she is on her way out.
