I don’t read the comics and I was under the impression that America Chavez was under the new generation of woke superheroes. Honestly though, her character in the movie wasn’t that bad. It’s not like Shuri showing off how smart she is by making Tony Stark and Bruce Banner look incompetent. She’s just a normal girl and she actually depends on Doctor Strange to protect her for the better part of the movie. I would say the same goes for Kate Bishop in Hawkeye. She relies a lot of Clint to mentor her and even as a child she idolized him as her hero. It’s not really the hurr durr I’m better than you girl power I’m Hawkeye now. Ms Marvel on the other hand is an annoying zoomer, much less likable than America or Kate.
