74 is good but no gore its got alot of cool shots and great tension , the final scene of leatherface is very cool worth it for just that scene alone. The 03 remake is very good aswell. Darker tone more gore better paced and overall agreat remake that is different and expands on the source material. Some great use of lighting high contrast shadow work nice godrays etc well worth a watch.
