Oh, and that's the Wabbajack under the Dragon Slayer. I'm assuming most, if not all, of the weapons are references. Are those big shuriken on top exclusively a Naruto reference, or is that a common shuriken design?
Doesn't really matter, when people see a giant oversized sword the most common comparison that's made is to the buster sword. More people know FF7 than Berserk, unfortunately.
No, I definitely would think a manga has a specific well known giant sword. If they didn’t draw it as the Dragonslayer it wouldn’t be the Dragonslayer, it’s a specific sword you coy frick
And Obari shouldn't have the monopoly on sword-at-the-ready with perspective, but every waste of oxygen moron howls "Obari Pose!" whenever anyone does it.
That's the grappling hook from Bioshock Infinite under the dragonslayer. And I know I've seen that gun at the very bottom before. And that MIGHT be the Breaking Point in the bottom left.
I'm sure someone will put together a full list before long.
Artist just released the complete storyboard for what everything is, if anyone is interested. Not everything is a reference, for plausible deniability. Yes, the box is a Lament Configuration, just recoloured.
Surprisingly, that red pistol isn't a reference to anything, which is amazing because I could swear that I've seen it before.
I'm tired of anime references in cartoons, the cross-over between the two is slowly killing what made the two distinct.
Soon we'll have a single, flavorless goop storyboarded and designed by anime fangirls and Asian Americans and animated by Korean sweatshops.
>the cross-over between the two is slowly killing what made the two distinct
Having a seconds-long scene with the Guts sword or Eva spear isn't going to magically fuse cartoons and anime anon
These things happen gradually. It only took a decade for the very idea of a woman being designed to be sexually appealing to men to be declared wrong. Some spineless sheep have come to belief that it's fine for fiction to just declare this wrong think, that every sexuality but normal male sexuality is ok, that's how fricked up things are.

Anon MAWS is trying hard to be anime in every episode, the art style, the designs the writing it's all shitty anime wannabe. The robots throughout the show so far are cheap Eva units. Mxy is just a fricking Tenchi Muyo villain. This show really wants to be anime. It's not about the constant references it's just the tone and attitude. It's western weebslop.

NTA, but I'm frankly tired of Gundam and especially Eva being the only goddamn mecha shows that ever get referenced. Other works with mecha exist: Zoids, Megas XLR, GaoGaiGar,, Mazinger, Robotech, countless other animes, cartoons, and games. Eva isn't even good.

When your entire show is just stitching together references from other shit then it is hurting the story.
and has been for a long time shit like megas xlr was almost all anime references and hnk referenced mad max, dragon ball the terminator and alien, there were countless others
>the cross-over between the two is slowly killing what made the two distinct.
What are you talking about? Plenty of cartoony anime out there like Doraemon and other crap like that.
Noisy Cricket in upper left.
I want to say the cube is a miscolored Lament Configuration, the pattern is similar to one of the sides, but it's probably some other cube.
Homura's shield thing above the bow
Could the thing in the lower right be the Breaking Point from SU? The purple-spiked flail also calls Amethyst's upgraded whip to mind, but her whip had three separate heads and I don't remember if she could fuse them into one big one
I'm not sure about that. It doesn't look anything like the breaking point besides being a spike you punch with. The details are all off. All the other items are pretty accurate so it would be weird for them to frick up such a simple design.
I think you're right. Not only are there design differences, but I just noticed that what I thought was part of the wall/shelf is actually a second spike on the thumb/pinky
Who knows? It's not uncommon for these types to get every detail of some fictional anime weapon right, then blunder almost everything about an actual real weapon.

Okay, so, let's list us off.
Top Shelf: >Shuriken's from Naruto (?) >Monarch Dart Gun from Venture Bros >Myx's bowler hat >Noisy Cricket from MiB >Lament Configuration (?) >Homura's Shield from Madoka >Rem's Morningstar from ReZero >Dragonslayer from Beserk >Skyhook from Bioshock >Wabbajack from Skyrim >Sakura's Wand from Card Captors >Scissorman's Scissors from Clock Tower >Etna's Spear from Disgaea >Breaking Point from Steven Universe
It's probably the hand-axe above Dragonslayer. I don't see what else it could be. Unless it's the knife at the top?
I'm still really curious about that RPG. It's a very unique design. And I know that I've seen that gun next to the Katana before.

That's what i thought too, but it's such a simple shape that they likely did an exact copy from the source material, and none of the fans from those I can find completely match.

Even though it's not "perfect", I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be Kyoshi warrior fans.
Someone suggested Bayonetta for the pink pistol, but her guns don't have the same organic shape. The closest I can find is pic related from Fortnite. And it's not really a good match aside from the colors.

That's pretty god damn close.
Yea, they aren't bad, idk I guess it's just cartoons have been referencing anime so often now that I've gotten tired of it, cartoons used to reference each other a lot more than today and I miss that.
All and all it's a pretty good little Easter egg this wall of gadgets.
Updated with a couple more that were mentioned. Honestly surprised there are no RWBY weapons, since RT seems desperate to insert itself into everything it can.
Bit annoyed that I cannot remember where the other broadsword, the bow and the double headed axe are from because I am sure I know them unless they're from some modern isekai shit. Thought the bow was the one from Rayearth first but the shape is different.
[...]
I think the cube might be a Mother Box. It’s fairly similar to the design they had in DCEU which was the most recent use of them in media and therefore well-known version among general audiences currently. It’d make sense to me that they’d used that design instead of the usual slab from the comic as a base for their own take, like Penguin was a weird mutant in the first seasons of BTAS because that’s what they did in the recent Burton movies but still manage to put their own spin on it
they actually showed a mother box earlier in the same episode
it was in the vault that Clark broke into

You know, the background guy has an account on Somethingawful. We could just ask him what it's supposed to be.
Honestly, I'm surprised to see a ReZero reference of all things.
Same with Disgaea, you don't usually see them up there with heavyhitters like Berserk, Skyrim, Sailor Moon, or Cardcaptor.

>MAWS Superman is an overly empathetic simp who will cower when he actually has to make a hard decision.
Superman needs to realize that Humanity can't be trusted and needs a firm hand to guide it on the right path. And if that hand needs to turn into a fist occasionally then so be it. Zach Snyder's Superman understood this. Superman should not pretend he is human. He is a god and should act as such. Compassion is weakness when you are protecting an entire planet.
It's fun in the right circumstances. Here we've got a goofy character having a shelf full of references. Nothing wrong with that. The problem is when you sprinkle anime references in more straightfaced situations.
I honestly never like references like this. Makes the creator feel like a sperg that wants to brag with all the shit he has played or watched which makes it feel stupid, especially when it's all popular shit.
I don't care about reply shit, I said why I don't like it and it's dragging a show down. If they want to show off with the shit they have watched so far the play the "nerrrrrrd" they should make a twitter post not shove it into a cartoon which is literally and unironically done for attention, in other words to get (you)s.
Jesus is this gonna be cartoons from now on? Pointless references so show workers can inflate their egos about how awesome they are for watching a show.
Frick we never even left the Dragonball/Sailor Moon phase either, we're just gonna pile on things like Beserk and Jojo now.
These references are whatever but it's funny how toothless the show is compared to what it's inspirations are. I'm not asking Harley TV show level of "maturity" knowing if this was an adult show, it'd be raunchy and unfunny as frick. I guess some westerners really be having two modes of appeal huh.

I think Bone or spinal column bows are common enough in fantasy that it looks familiar. I tried to look it up earlier since my first thought was Ancient Bone Bow from WoW and got a ton of similar-ish results.
I dunno man, that Castlevania one digs pretty deep.
Who the hell even still remembers Lords of Shadows? Those games were almost instantly forgotten and the last one came out almost a decade ago.
If that were true and this was just to show how "relatable" they are, the artist would be talking about it on Reddit, not a dead site like Something Awful.
The one in the bottom right corner reminds me of the sheng go wus from Xaolin Showdown, I don't know if its a specific one or just based on the designs in the show.

It makes zero sense that I love how they did Mr. Mxyzptlk here.
See, one thing I don't like about MAWS is how hard it's trying to look like weebshit. Just be a western Superman cartoon ffs.
Yet despite Mxy being the single most weebshit thing in the show so far, he's an instant favorite character. He and his antics were just so enjoyable to watch that I don't even care that he looks nothing like Mxy. They did a unique spin on him and I liked it.
It makes no logical sense that I like him, but I do.

I see Wabajack, Noisy Cricket, Sailor Saturns's Glaive, the Grapple Thing from Bioshock Infinite, Dragonslayer, a cube that isn't quite the Lamentation Configuration, and a not quite Lance of Longinus
Chuds may seethe but this is the best way to have a quick reference in your show. This was up for a few seconds and then gone. It's not a whole segment or a anime scene redone. Just a quick Easter egg and onto the story without missing a beat.
Noisy Cricket on the second shelf from the top

You'd think a single manga shouldn't have a cultural monopoly on "sword, but big"
It doesn't. FF7 still beats it in that department.
Ff7 is directly inspired by Berserk
Doesn't really matter, when people see a giant oversized sword the most common comparison that's made is to the buster sword. More people know FF7 than Berserk, unfortunately.
Yet ff7 is more popular. The chicken is superior to the egg
Popular=/=superior
Gotem. Original ff7 isn't that good and somehow the remake was worse despite having more things to work with and looking nice in spots.
I am impartial since I like both ff7 and berserk. I just pointed out how dumb that anon’s fixation with popularity is.
Dark Souls and FF Tactics are more inspired by Berserk than FF7

It's the Longinus from the Disgaea games.
is that an RPG-7 or an RPG-7-shaped spear?

Top Shelf:

>Noisy Cricket from MiB
>Lament Configuration (?)
>Homura's Shield from Madoka
>Rem's Morningstar from ReZero

>Wabbajack from Skyrim
>Sakura's Wand from Card Captors
>Scissorman's Scissors from Clock Tower
>Etna's Spear from Disgaea
>Breaking Point from Steven Universe
The spear on the bottom left is probably Sailor Saturns' Glaive. It connects at the base to form a spear.
Wabbajack? more like WOJAK
who the frick gave this guy a universe transporter?
The sphere next to Dragon Slayer looks like the ones used by the Tall Man from Phantasm.
I am actually right? Cool. Where was this post made?

So according to that guy there's a Castlevania weapon in here. I never played any of those, but we're clearly missing one here.
>The Crissaegrim (クリセグリム Kurisegurimu?) is the sword used by Alucard in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.
oh christ lords of shadow???
Now that's a weird reference, who the hell even remembers the LoS games?
Huh, I thought that was Yasuo's katana
It's probably the hand-axe above Dragonslayer. I don't see what else it could be. Unless it's the knife at the top?
I'm still really curious about that RPG. It's a very unique design. And I know that I've seen that gun next to the Katana before.

Can some autist label everything in pic.
Like this?
You see what i did?
It's a big red circle, i'm sure people see it...
I mean you started & a lot of them are already in the thread
be the change you want to see
I'm wondering if the RPG is just supposed to be one of Homura's.
Amphibia did it first.
This.
Love how Amphibia had all these little nods to other things.
Everyone loves referencing media they enjoy.
And Eda's human shit shop was never seen again.
And her whole bit of being w Wild Trash witch that could train someone in unconventional magic. Well frick that too.
I know this might be stretching it but the scissors might be a reference to kill la kill, dunno, don't remember other famous scissors unless you count the ones from Clock Tower.
It's clearly the ones from Clock Tower.
weird, I remember them looking different
Why did they not reference my weapon? I've been using it creatively for decades yet some annoying anime/vidya weapon got in while mine hasn't.
for the last time, dildos are NOT a weapon.
I was talking about an even sharper weapon, my mind.
But it's there, it's just so tiny you don't see it
>:(
Is the fan a reference to Atla or mortal kombat?
That's what i thought too, but it's such a simple shape that they likely did an exact copy from the source material, and none of the fans from those I can find completely match.
Even though it's not "perfect", I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be Kyoshi warrior fans.

>Even though it's not "perfect"
That's pretty god damn close.
The weighted companion cube is much different.
It puts me in mind of a Power Rangers/Super Sentai weapon, though I couldn't tell you which one.
Don't know why, but the first thing that came to mind when I saw that red gun was Kid Icarus Uprising.
Where is the bow from, I 100% know that bow but I cannot tell you which anime or game it's from right now.
I look a better screenshot and labeled what has been identified before. I only included the guesses that are obviously correct.
I remember seeing someone the exact 2 weapons above Sakura's star wand but I don't remember who. Also thanks for the effort.
I’m fairly sure the bow is from Fire Emblem. Probably 3 houses
It's not a Magic Bow or Failnaught
No, doesn't look like the Failnaught. I think it's from something else.
>I CLAPPED WHEN I SAW
Where is the other giant sword from?
Only thing it reminds me of is Hakumen's sword (it always bothered me how it ended in a squared shape) but that's clearly not it.
Sailor Saturn's scythe is correct, there is no other scythe with that exact blade.
Is that Gamecube below the top shelf supposed to be an off-color Hellraiser Box?
Yeah, that's what I was thinking too but I didn't label it because there's lots of cubes out there and it wasn't a 100% match.
It is strange that they would go out of the way to be as accurate as possible with all the other references only to flub this one in particular.
This comment leads me to believe that whatever the cube is, it's accurately colored.
That screenshot leads me to believe that whatever the cube is, it is legally colored.
I thought it was a companion cube.
Well at least there are some fun ones in there, at least it isn't all anime.
The anime ones are fun as well.
Yea, they aren't bad, idk I guess it's just cartoons have been referencing anime so often now that I've gotten tired of it, cartoons used to reference each other a lot more than today and I miss that.
All and all it's a pretty good little Easter egg this wall of gadgets.
Kitana fang
Re4 rpg
>clock tower reference
Okay, kind of impressive
the red and yellow gun looks familiar
I'd search through a bunch of sentai shows for its inspiration.
rocke launcher resident evil?
The two swords above sakura's staff are some of the blades Manji uses most frequently in Blade of the Immortal.
It was actually the Silent Glaive split in two
The green staff on the top shelf looks like Usopp's Kabuto
>myx has the Wabbajack
Do you think Sheogorath gave it to him for a laugh?
Pepper grinder from Alice madness returns?
Yeah, I think you're right.
It's either that or a dragon dildo
>le pop culture references
God this show is so creatively bankrupt
Have you ever thought that maybe you're just a c**t?
>Dragon Slayer
>Alien blaster
>Hook thing from Bioshock Infinite
Updated with a couple more that were mentioned. Honestly surprised there are no RWBY weapons, since RT seems desperate to insert itself into everything it can.
Only Crescent Rose is recognizable and even then it's just a scythe with some mechanical things strapped at the end
If there was anything from that abomination, I'd start screaming in agony, since that's be undeniable proof of how doomed this production was.
What is that bow?
The fan is Doma's from Demon Slayer I think.
I think the sword in the top is a qualta blade from farscape, but it's not 100%.
The red RPG is the one used in RE4 to kill the final boss.
Bit annoyed that I cannot remember where the other broadsword, the bow and the double headed axe are from because I am sure I know them unless they're from some modern isekai shit. Thought the bow was the one from Rayearth first but the shape is different.
it might be but there's so many crazy boxes on media
is there anything that's actually useful for other than getting fricked up by interdimensional leather daddies?
cool someone actually used the pic I made
they actually showed a mother box earlier in the same episode
it was in the vault that Clark broke into
I'm surprised the fan actually was from Avatar, I just considered it a random fan
my guess was the doom 3 angle/demon cube thing
is the thing in between Etna's spear and Sakura's wand a hole puncher? how many series have a hole puncher as a weapon?
Artemis Bow from Warframe is my first idea for the bow weapon.
The Dragonbone Bow from Skyrim is closer, but still not right.
You know, the background guy has an account on Somethingawful. We could just ask him what it's supposed to be.
>We could just ask
Where's the fun in that?
In the time I'm wasting on these threads, I could be watching Eureka Seven.
>In the time I'm wasting on these threads, I could be watching Evangelion: Skysurfing Adventure.
I'd rather internet sleuth, myself.
I thought it was Nataruk at first.
Honestly, I'm surprised to see a ReZero reference of all things.
Same with Disgaea, you don't usually see them up there with heavyhitters like Berserk, Skyrim, Sailor Moon, or Cardcaptor.
>Rezero reference
Rezero isn't good.
>RT
Wut
Hey wait. If that's Hameru's buckler, then what if the bow is Meduka's?
Something about the dagger at the top seem familiar but I can put my finger on it.
lol this just looks like a PS3
What is kind a weapon from?
I think the cube might be a Mother Box. It’s fairly similar to the design they had in DCEU which was the most recent use of them in media and therefore well-known version among general audiences currently. It’d make sense to me that they’d used that design instead of the usual slab from the comic as a base for their own take, like Penguin was a weird mutant in the first seasons of BTAS because that’s what they did in the recent Burton movies but still manage to put their own spin on it
>MAWS Superman is an overly empathetic simp who will cower when he actually has to make a hard decision.
Superman needs to realize that Humanity can't be trusted and needs a firm hand to guide it on the right path. And if that hand needs to turn into a fist occasionally then so be it. Zach Snyder's Superman understood this. Superman should not pretend he is human. He is a god and should act as such. Compassion is weakness when you are protecting an entire planet.
>it's a Snydergay doesn't understand Superman episode
I hate reruns.
Lex get off of Cinemaphile
There's also Sheogorath's staff
The Wabbajack you philistine
That rpg is from RE4
>wabajak directly underneath
pretty sure that's Rem's morningstar
Why does Cinemaphile encourage this cancer? This show is a fricking mess of anime fanfiction gay shit.
I have just the image for you, anon. Referenced in this very episode.
It's fun in the right circumstances. Here we've got a goofy character having a shelf full of references. Nothing wrong with that. The problem is when you sprinkle anime references in more straightfaced situations.
Anime won the culture wars comicbook chud, you're obsolete.
Because this board gets easily entertained by dangling keys.
It's literally the perfect Superman show, you clown.
No, that's Superman Animated.
>bruce Timm slop enjoyer
Oh boy.
Is that the bioshock gun just below it?
His username is Das Boo.
Also he enjoys cheapening Lords of Shadow
I honestly never like references like this. Makes the creator feel like a sperg that wants to brag with all the shit he has played or watched which makes it feel stupid, especially when it's all popular shit.
I don't care about reply shit, I said why I don't like it and it's dragging a show down. If they want to show off with the shit they have watched so far the play the "nerrrrrrd" they should make a twitter post not shove it into a cartoon which is literally and unironically done for attention, in other words to get (you)s.
okay cool.
do any anons know what the big square thing is supposed to be?
The plasma rifle from Deus Ex?
mebbe?
I also like the gun sword at the very top
Anime and comicbooks are built atop references to things the creators like.
There's like half a dozen characters in Street Fighter that are just JoJo references.
Guile, Rose, Juri and who else?
Hakan has Avdol's hair
Necalli is basically a Pillar Man
If given the chance, what weapons would you throw into a shot like this?
Trueflame and Hopesfire.
You can't make references to Dota 2 stuff. You know how b***hy Actiblizzard gets about them.
wat why
all the more reason to put them into porn sfm's to piss them off more
Brisingr
Wolfwood's Punisher
The Pogohammer
Homestuck doesn't deserve to be acknowledged.
Why not
Hussie fricked up.
At that rate Berserk shouldn't be referenced because Miura fricked up.
So did half the shit the weapons are from
Early Homestuck had some good bits.
God bless gungay autism.
My favorite kind of autism.
I'd throw in a mix of real life oddities like this along with stuff like the chainsaw sword from Zombie Powder.
A bolter or a lasgun. Maybe a chainsword or powerfist for good measure.
half of those aren't from warhammer
The Cassul and the Jackal
Saber's Excalibur
Willow Branch
The Right Hand of Doom
Gravity Gun from HL2
Monado from Xenoblade
The fricking drill from TTGL
Instead of a weapon, I would have just stuck a monkey's paw in there.
pic
adventure time demon blood sword
quake rocket launcher (or TF2 "original")
doom bfg
terraria Terra Blade
Someone reminded me Warframe exists, so Burston Prime
Has the monado showed up in anything?
Nobody likes Xenoblade. They only care about Xenoblade 2 because of the waifus.
No anime bullshit thats for sure.
Ido's rocket hammer, or Gally's damascus blade
that hammer with the flat top, I could swear I've seen it before but can't remember where
I think it might be a hatchet, but I'm not sure.
shit you're right, that's not a wide square flat top at all, it's the shelf on which the weapon is resting.
then wtf am i remembering?
>DUDE ANIME REFERENCES
Jesus is this gonna be cartoons from now on? Pointless references so show workers can inflate their egos about how awesome they are for watching a show.
Frick we never even left the Dragonball/Sailor Moon phase either, we're just gonna pile on things like Beserk and Jojo now.
At least Oda had the decency to do Tom and Jerry
But I thought people hate Nika for not being their edgy Vasto Lorde transformation
Only Mexicans hate it
Make it stop
Kingdom Hearts outfit? Nice
Wonder if she's wearing big shoes.
>key to the city
It cannot be contained anon
These references are whatever but it's funny how toothless the show is compared to what it's inspirations are. I'm not asking Harley TV show level of "maturity" knowing if this was an adult show, it'd be raunchy and unfunny as frick. I guess some westerners really be having two modes of appeal huh.
What kind of teeth you looking for?
>Helmet of Fate
>Cosmic Staff
>Flight Ring
>Nth Metal Mace
>T-Sphere
>Motherbox
>The Soultaker Sword
Anything I'm missing from the scene where Mxy robs the Museum?
What if Mxy is actually none other than Trazyn the Infinite?
Artist just released the complete storyboard for what everything is, if anyone is interested. Not everything is a reference, for plausible deniability. Yes, the box is a Lament Configuration, just recoloured.
Surprisingly, that red pistol isn't a reference to anything, which is amazing because I could swear that I've seen it before.
Huh. Looks like we got almost everything that was actually a reference. I'm pissed that the bow turned out to be nothing though, that was bugging me all day.
It almost looks like Parthia from fire emblem heroes reimagining but has the wood notching on it making it it's own thing
That looks nothing like the Krull Glaive.
>I'm pissed that the bow turned out to be nothing though, that was bugging me all day.
>what Bow is that I recognize it
I think Bone or spinal column bows are common enough in fantasy that it looks familiar. I tried to look it up earlier since my first thought was Ancient Bone Bow from WoW and got a ton of similar-ish results.
What fricking sword is that pixel art of?
https://disgaea.fandom.com/wiki/Yoshitsuna
>two disgaea references
This is bullshit
well deserved
Oh, someone already posted it.
Where'd you find it?
>2 fricking disgaea references
what the le frick
the shurikens don't even look like the glaive from Krull though so no one was going to get that
>Disgaea ref
Nice to see some people remember it, I loved the early games.
In order from Left-Right, Top-Bottom
>Fuma Shuriken (Street Fighter)
>
>Myx's hat
>Monarch Dart Gun (Venture Brothers)
>Noisy Cricket (Men In Black)
>
>Lament Configuration
>Homura's Shield (Madoka)
> Crissaegrim (Castlevania)
>
>
>
>
>
>Rem's Morningstar (Re:Zero)
>
>Dragonslayer (Berserk)
>Skyhook (Bioshock)
>Sphere of Death (Phantasm)
>Wabbajack (Skyrim)
>Sailor Saturn's Glaive (Sailor Moon)
>
>Sakura's Wand (Cardcaptor Sakura)
>
>
>Scissorman's Scissors (Clock Tower)
>Etna's Spear (Disgaea)
>Breaking Point (Steven Universe - also least deserving cameo)
Oh nevermind they released it.
>That ref for the shuriken
How tf is that not pic related
>looks up anime/video game weapon on google
>"this'll show them we're actually human"
I dunno man, that Castlevania one digs pretty deep.
Who the hell even still remembers Lords of Shadows? Those games were almost instantly forgotten and the last one came out almost a decade ago.
I remember Lords of Shadow, Drac fights Satan in the sequel which is funny since Drac is essentially Satan in the original series
If that were true and this was just to show how "relatable" they are, the artist would be talking about it on Reddit, not a dead site like Something Awful.
Ah yes, the Orb from Phantasm. Such a common, beloved symbol.
Yasuo Katana what Bow is that I recognize it
>what Bow is that I recognize it
No, you don't.
Is that the RE4 rocket launcher?
Haven't seen the episode, how does he get these? Does he just appear while they're battling and take it without elaborating?
Its the weapons storage of a group of multiversal Lois Lanes.
She knows
https://twitter.com/samBkays/status/1690538028677189632
Imagine if they included a bolter from 40k
>shears
Ah, the second most feared weapon of the canuck. Only inferior to the legendary Rake.
Not from KLK, those ones were colored.
pretty sure the fan is Suki's/Kiyoshi's from Avatar
Okay, it's almost Toonami time.
Damn I’m late, I love shit like this
Just gonna be posting my favorites
Here’s a more subtle one from Crossover that I like
What are these even called?
Display cabinets, maybe curio cabinets if you want to be fanciful
Kind of in the same vein
>tons of weapons
>also Wonder Woman's panties
Actually, this is Slade we're talking about, so those are probably Wonder Girl's
Imagine being an Inker and you have to draw this from a blurry pencil work on a schedule, probably a day or two
that's just too busy
Bioshock and Superman share the same univers... Omniverse? Metaverse? whatever it is, they share it.
The one in the bottom right corner reminds me of the sheng go wus from Xaolin Showdown, I don't know if its a specific one or just based on the designs in the show.
It looks like a generic anime weapons locker from here
>dragon dildo
Anyone know how to reformat imgur images?
https://i.imgur.io/C0lwnJQ_d.webp?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium
>disgaea reference
And now let's open the bets, Superman vs well geared level 9999 max reincarnated Etna, who wins?
>IS THAT A REFERENCE TO ANOTHER PROPERTY IN MY CHILDREN'S MEDIA? OH MY GOD!!!!!! THATS SO HECKERINO AWESOME SAUCE! CANT WAIT TO POST THIS ON RED.DIT! SO MANY UPVOTES
>HOLY HECK! DID MY FAVORITE SHOWERINO JUST REFERENCED A BUNCH OF OTHER SHOWERINOS AND VIDEOGAMERINOS? REDDIT IS GONNA FREAK!!! I CAN'T WAIT TO TELL JAMAL THE NEWS ONCE HE GETS HERE TO FRICK MY WIFE!
here comes the raid
A RAID? LIKE IN ORCS? IS THAT A REFWRENCE TO WORLD OF WARCRAFT?! HECKERINO EPIC! WHICH WEAPON WOULD YOU USE FROM YOUR FAVORITE SHOW TO FIGHT BACK THE RAID? CAN YOU IMAGINE IF DOCTOR WHO SAID "FOR THE ALLIANCE!!" TO FRODO? HOW EPIC WIN WOULD THAT BE?!
Don't you have half a dozen troony wojak image threads to post?
NO IM TOO BUSY LOOKING UP ALL THE EPIC HECKERIN REFERENCES!
Well thanks for sparing me from seeing those stupid images today.
>REFERENCES! IN MY SHOW? TO OTHER SHOWS?! HECKERINO WHOLESOME HOW ALL MY SHOWS ARE CONNECTED! I HOPE THEY USE SHOW REFERENCE A! HOW EPIC AMAZEBALLS WILL THAT BE?!
the OC gun looks like xenoblade 2 Pyra if she was a gun instead of a sword
It makes zero sense that I love how they did Mr. Mxyzptlk here.
See, one thing I don't like about MAWS is how hard it's trying to look like weebshit. Just be a western Superman cartoon ffs.
Yet despite Mxy being the single most weebshit thing in the show so far, he's an instant favorite character. He and his antics were just so enjoyable to watch that I don't even care that he looks nothing like Mxy. They did a unique spin on him and I liked it.
It makes no logical sense that I like him, but I do.
GET THIS?@ WHAT IF COMIC CHARACTERS READ COMIC BOOKS?! HOW MINDFUK WOULD THAT BE?! EPIC
Then you get Barry's first appearance
HAI YAI FORCES
the big weapon next to the cube, i dont know the name of the character or the weapon but i had this picture saved of the character who uses it
We already know all of them
. That's not Ciel's weapon.
It's not the Seventh Scripture
And her name's Ciel
for me, it's the tiny ps3
Where?
I see Wabajack, Noisy Cricket, Sailor Saturns's Glaive, the Grapple Thing from Bioshock Infinite, Dragonslayer, a cube that isn't quite the Lamentation Configuration, and a not quite Lance of Longinus
>not quite Lance of Longinus
It's Etna's spear
Chuds may seethe but this is the best way to have a quick reference in your show. This was up for a few seconds and then gone. It's not a whole segment or a anime scene redone. Just a quick Easter egg and onto the story without missing a beat.
