It's a reference to how they all got shot up so bad they looked like raw hamburger meat. Hamburgers are made of dead animals, so like blood and flesh and stuff. Meat eaters are truly repulsive.
> growing up hearing all kinds of about d-day > watch saving private ryan > think it was an all out massacre where 80 % of soldiers died > look it up > 2000 dead the whole day
Americans truly love to blow their own horns and everyone is falling for it
It's crazy when you realize Germany and Russia lost like 10k killed every day on the Eastern Front while Americans get national PTSD from 2k dead in a decade of Iraq
The complete lack of morale created a extremely standards lax environment where military discipline was only expected when shit hit the fan. Unit culture was about as diverse and non uniform as a highschool lunchroom yet when news would come in that so and so got got everyone would jump to their feet locked and loaded in formation ready for revenge like it was this rag-tag group's destiny all along with all hands on deck.
If you want a little character development at the beginning then watching everyone die and not being able to tell who is who and then the movie just ending once they get to the top, sure. It was more misery porn than anything. Most Vietnam vets never saw shit like that.
VIETNAM MOVIES NOT TO WATCH: >"HAIR". Its like what a corporate israelite thought (then) young people were like. >don't watch ANY of those "old men reminiscing" ones (they're sappy soup operas). >Don't watch ANY of the reenactor made movies (unless you wanna see 50yo 300 pound marines, and endless gear porn (slow panning shots on old rusty equipment)) >DON'T watch ANY of the Christian made Vietnam movies unless you want absolute lies (like all the soldiers are sober pure hearted and believe in the cause, BULL SHIT)
>DON'T watch ANY of the Christian made Vietnam movies unless you want absolute lies (like all the soldiers are sober pure hearted and believe in the cause, BULL SHIT)
We Were Soldiers was set in 1963, back when the war was still popular and none of the stuff that went down went down yet, if that is the one you are singling out. I like that one a lot.
>name a hill "hamburger"
do Americans really?
It's a reference to how they all got shot up so bad they looked like raw hamburger meat. Hamburgers are made of dead animals, so like blood and flesh and stuff. Meat eaters are truly repulsive.
And then you look it up and like 23 people died. Americans are so soft.
>People, die, in war?
>People, kill others, in war?
>War, is, BAD!
General U.S opinion on war, such homosexualry.
1 american is equal to 100,000 asiatics

>NOW BRUSH YOUR TEETH IN A RAPID VERTICAL MOTION
What makes Vietnam films so comfy & atmospheric? WW2 films even doesn’t come close to how great most Nam films look with scenery
quê tao đẹp lắm mày. né xa đi heng
đại lý da cam của bạn khỏe không
Easier to shoot on location in a real jungle.

>What makes Vietnam films so comfy & atmospheric?
no muh israelites so they don't try and justify the war 24/7
Conventional war Vs guerilla war
the jungle and the music

The Deer Hunter is the only good 'nam movie and its not even a nam movie.
This movie is woke.
It’s literally the most anti-woke ‘nam movie made.
My dad said this and We Were Soldiers are the most accurate
'nam film where Americans got fricking slaughtered
I wasn’t BOOOOORN, with a silva spoon in MY MOUF!

>almost 2000 American vs less than 1000 Vietnamese
>Like 70 Americans killed vs pretty much every Viet killed
Oh the horror, our boys really had it rough.
>believing official U.S. statistics
Next you're going to tell me that the Sabre had a 10:1 ratio in Korea.
>US obliterated the Viets
>US suffered losses to the Viets
Either angle is a loss since they lost the war in the eyes of everyone anyway.
i mean have you seen slavshit losses?
Korea was the only war the Soviets did well in lol
