My mother looked almost exactly like Weaver when she was younger. In my parents' wedding photo she is basically a finnish Sigourney Weaver with lighter hair.
>Is the first Alien movie better than the rest of the franchise?
Yes, but that isn't a difficult task. The Alien franchise sucks balls and goes on far too long at this point, just like Terminator, Ghostbusters or Star Wars. There's much more bad than good content out there for a long time now.
There was enough potential in the premise for two-odd movies. That's all it comes down to, I think. Like Jaws. There just isn't five movies' worth of material in "man fights shark." It's not The Godfather; the characters aren't rich enough to fuel seven hours' worth of movie.
>Aliens 2
Cameron chads, badass, classic Hollywood kino, manly.
>Alien 3
Garbage, shit plot and writers.
>Alien 4 Resurrection
Based, best sci fi visuals, chad's choice, badass and mainly characters, /ourguy/ Ron Perlman, late 90's / y2k kino.
>Alien Prometheus
Reddit and indian. Sir's choice. Scott showing his dementia.
>Alien Covenant
Somehow even more indian. Scott totally mocking and shitting on his own franchise for money. Absolute non-sense and the last nail in the coffin for Alien.
Bonus: >AVP
Ancient Aliens, 2000's tribal kino. Based setting and plot.
Yes, and Cameron ruined it. Aliens is a fine movie and pretty much created the Alien franchise, but it's so different from the original concept it could be its own thing.
I remember when sigourney weaver was considered butch and not attractive for a female. If only we'd known back then just how much worse they'd get with trying to force people to accept uggos as attractive.
yes
yes
Second movie is reddit tier garbage and should be retconed out of existance
I will never understand the plebbit obsession with Aliens. I haven't seen it years but maybe I should rewatch it. Alien is a masterpiece though.
Its right there after Prometheus
We ought to discuss the bush situation.
Yeah, it's a 10/10 movie.
The second one is second best because it relies too heavily on the typical 80s Amurrican action characters.
I unironically fell asleep watching it for the first time like 4 years ago
"slow burn" horror fricking sucks
You should watch Hereditary then. You'll love that.
I actually like Prometheus the most, and the first Alien the second most. The rest of the films suck.
I like both, but Aliens for me has more rewatch value.
Remember when they used to show off hot women in movies.
I miss that
I've never found weaver attractive
She's second fiddle to Winona Ryder, but then so is everyone.
I actually found her sexier with age
I remember pausing Alien: Resurrection on VHS so I could jerk off to her.
Aliens is excellent. Alien is a masterpiece. And, yes, obviously Sigourney is ravishingly desirable.

Lucky dad.

It's crazy how all those franchises went to absolute shit.

All I remember are the ridiculous breath sensors and that one escape pod being turned into a bloodbath by that xenomorph
1st is a masterpiece
2nd is a great sequel
(theatrical only)
