This has been a really bad year for local small cinemas. The very few that are still around and struggling after covid-19 lockdowns. Usually the summer blockbuster capeshit movies were running for a whole month. Avengers End Game apparently made the local cinema owner very very happy, with all the extra slots he kept putting it on. People just kept coming back for second time.
This summer I've seen how the "big" movie posters are on display for just one week. And even those showings have been only half full.
Just this summer, Elemental seems to be doing much worse on the same budget.
