    justice for Ezra
    https://deadline.com/2023/06/ezra-miller-harassment-order-lifted-massachusetts-the-flash-1235428337/

    >The media, clearly tipped off by Ms. Guin, reported her false allegations without any diligent effort to corroborate her claims.
    >Ezra does not deny that in the midst of their struggle that they have made mistakes and behaved at times in ways they wish they could take back. That, however, does not make every allegation, rumor, or false accusation true. There are real world consequences when claims like these are heedlessly amplified, without any regard for the facts or the truth. These false allegations, fanned by unscrupulous media, have threatened Ezra’s recovery, and done terrible damage to their reputation and career.

What you do at work and what you do in your off time are different. I've known plenty of fun, charming, pleasant people at work and found them to be outright scoundrels in their personal lives. Class clowns that everyone loves usually end up dead in gutters or alcoholic buttholes later on.

                >Ms. Guin sought out every opportunity for chance encounters with Ezra whenever they came to Greenfield to visit these same friends and attend music events. Days before seeking the harassment order last year, Guin was still trying to ingratiate herself with Ezra’s celebrity and perceived wealth by texting Ezra’s friend, Whitney Suter, even trying to orchestrate an invitation to Ezra’s home in Vermont. All of these efforts were rebuffed.

this woman claims Ezra is a danger to her child based on an interaction from February 2022, how does it make sense for her to continue to pursue Ezra's attention and try to invite herself over to his house?

how does that not just make her a shitty mother trying to exploit her kid?

I’ve worked with actors where we’ve always maintained the relationship afterwards. It’s intense making a movie – when it’s something you’re so into, those relationships are for life in the end.”

It’s difficult to talk about, but I always give people a lot of slack in this business, because there’s a lot of people in this business that have issues. And some people have more privacy than others. Any time somebody is out in the spotlight getting picked on, I feel for them."

And then I think when they were not working, everything went off the rails. I don’t know because I have not talked to them directly since then, but they seem to have had an absolutely epic breakdown that needed care and treatment. It’s very sad, and in the modern world, to have someone go through such a psychological crisis in public.

        >>317 million expent on a shitty dime a dozen animated film

        >Production Budget : $180M
That is an average budget for a Pixar movie but that is still very high in general. The crazy thing is Illumination can make the Mario movie for about $100M - 120M
        >Print and Ads : $90M
Again $90M is average advertising budget for a large release Hollywood movie. This is part of the reason why WB decided to cancel Batgirl because to release it in theaters would have required more $$$ to advertise it.
        >Interest and Overhead : $32.4
This # is huge and not normal for movie. This cost is the interest on the loans and other delays due to COVID shutting down theaters.

Pluto Nash got universally shit on and barely cracked the top 10 in its opening weekend. Its total worldwide gross was less than 10% of its budget. That would be like the Flash grossing 27 mil total worldwide. It's not even comparable

Pluto Nash was a high budget movie that almost nobody watched. Think of a 2023 film that costed $200 million and only grossed $20 million worldwide.
Movies like The Flash were still able to find an audience, but bombed financially because of the very high budget.
So I would say that Pluto Nash is a much bigger failure even if it technically lost less money.

      >they made a shit ton of merch for it and had to liquidate it all
In most cases, the studio will just license the IP with toy and merch manufactures, so the toy makers fund making the goods, and the studio gets a percentage of those sales. So the studio shouldn't really lose money on the merchandise since the toy makers are taking on the majority of the risk. Not sure if it was different for Pluto Nash.

When you go to a court and petition for a restraining order, it automatically gets extended for 1 year if the accused doesn't go to the 10 day hearing.
Seeing as he was locked up in a mental hospital and unable to attend the hearing, it was extended for 1 year automatically. Imagine shilling for a mother with blue hair who was begging Miller to "hang out" with her troony kid just days before going to tabloids despite claiming otherwise.

Nolan does have fans. I'm one of them but simply not at all interested in the premise of the film. In A Beautiful Mind, the hook was that the guy was a little crazy and you didn't know to what extent the spy shit was real. There's none of that here, he's just whiny and neurotic. I don't think as many plebs will come glomming as you believe. Also the lead actor has become such a memelord that it's difficult for me to take him seriously, although that will admittedly not be such a problem for normies

If it's on 2-4 screens at the same time then no showing is ever going to come close to being packed. Cut it down to 1 screen at a time, and you might fill a theater here or there.

    >KK will be fired after IJ5 flopped twice as hard as the flush
No she won't, she's a fall girl, she's there to take the heat. She's already marked and burnt. No one will take her role if they fire her, no one wants to be the CEO of a 4 billion IP graveyard like Lucasfilms. She'll be there until someone with a plan comes along

I genuinely think she'll stay until she decides to retire. Lucasfilm and Disney are big enough that blame can be spread around when it's obvious the rot starts with KK. She clearly wants to replace every series with idealized versions of herself (pretty but not too pretty posh Anglo women with brown hair), but the issue is that this is NOT out of step with the rest of Hollywood. There's serious attempts to replace all heroes with women, black women, or black men. Thus they don't see it as a problem.

        >Indy 5 premiers in Cannes a month before premiere... and the reviews aren't embargoed.
        >While the premiere was going on, Galactic Starcruiser is shut down and the Willow tv show is thrown out of Disney+, and Kennedy didn't know this was going to happen
        >A book by Maureen Ryan titled Burn it Down takes shots at various people in Hollywood, most notably Damon Lindelof, who was supposed to be doing a Star Wars project before being pushed out by Disney. Although Kennedy isn't entirely critcized in the book, she is indirectly criticized as the book accuses Disney Lucasfilm of being sexist toward women and that Lucasfilm under her didn't care about going over budget

the woes aren't localized to Lucasfilm, as every other major disney property is doing the same. That's why they hit the panic button and want Zootopia II, Frozen III, and other sequels. They have NO IDEA what to do and just hitting panic button sequels and more live action Lion King.

I do believe it's idiot wine aunts and dykes who make up Disney's middle management, so it's not like KK is alone. There's a whole crop of women who don't care at all for fantsay, adventure, or sci-fi and couldn't explain the basics of mythology or the appeal of the mythic hero. Likely think that Kurosawa is a kind of motorcycle rather than a key influence for George Lucas. In short, the original founders were obsessive nerds who made passion projects, and the women middle managers are clueless dolts who have no idea what the appeal is.

thus singling out KK seems silly since they'd have to fire 3/4 of their middlemanagement. Which might end up happening if there's MAJOR restructurings post 2024 because they have to sell off a bunch of properties.

Pixar is probably done. They'll either be absorbed or turned into D+ animation team. It's entirely possible another major property gets sold off like Marvel or Lucas film. Or absorbed entirely and 90% of the management staff fired.

It's either Ezra Miller from an unflattering perspective or that weird pic of Supergirl about to scream. I can't look at Ezra Miller and see a superhero, I just see an annoying little crossdressing israelite homosexual.

The reason I liked Daniel-Day Lewis's movies is that I literally wouldn't recognize him if I saw him on the street. His personality doesn't overshadow any role he does. I can't see Ezra Miller in a movie without seeing dopey shit like this whenever I look at him.

He simply should not be an actor and I can only imagine the anal prolapse he took to get this role.

This has been a really bad year for local small cinemas. The very few that are still around and struggling after covid-19 lockdowns. Usually the summer blockbuster capeshit movies were running for a whole month. Avengers End Game apparently made the local cinema owner very very happy, with all the extra slots he kept putting it on. People just kept coming back for second time.

This summer I've seen how the "big" movie posters are on display for just one week. And even those showings have been only half full.

And you're missing a key detail anon.
      >They delayed the movie for TWO YEARS
I remember when the first teaser trailer came out, the one that ended with the Ezra pulling a tarp and it revealing the Keaton Batmobile. I was interested because I'm a millennial boomer who loved Batman 89. Then the movie got delayed again and again including:
      >DC just cancelling an entire Batgirl movie with Keaton and Brendan Frasier
      >James Gunn taking over the DC Cinematic Universe
      >Firing Henry Cavil unceremoniously because Black Adam bombed
Let's be real normies don't give a frick about Ezra Miller. He's a B-List celebrity most people would not recognize his name. But this movie came out essentially stillborn. It would have needed to be the best Capeshit since Iron Man to have not bombed.
