Is there a point to this character beyond being a love interest?

Redemption, bruv. Whole point of the show.
What does she need to be redeemed from? Being a lesbian?
Who's Niffty a love interest to?
me
You
You wouldn't be asking this if she was a guy.
I even have proof. I could go to a Molly McGee thread and ask what's the point of the guy Molly crushes on and people would make all kinds of excuses because he's le "based straight representation". So just apply all those excuses to Vagita here why don't you?
Ironically Ollie's planned arc for Season 3 was basically just him doing a Hazbin Hotel for the ghost world
>You wouldn't be asking this if she was a guy.
I would actually.
People stopped pretending to like Oliver ages ago
That's a terrible example, there was constant b***hing and moaning about Ollie's character.
Personally I think the hate for both Vaggie and Ollie is moronic
She found out how to kill the enemy
She didn't find out shit, she just went where she was told to go and talked to who she was told to talk to.
damn
I like Vaggie's nose.
Honestly me too. I think Reagan made me like those designs
>than even Angel Dust
That's not a very good comparison, Angel Dust is extremely popular, especially among fujos.
>Angel Dust
That's not a fair comparation, he's pretty much the most popular character of the show followed by Alastor
most of this show is completely pointless anon.
>half of episode 1 is wasted with a random ad that never comes back
>episode 2-4 are mostly pointless looking back since neither the Vees nor most of the overlords play into the plot of the season at all besides as exposition dumps for the laziest plot twist of all time
>the whole Mimsy part in episode 5 is completely pointless/could be done in more interesting ways to get the same result
This alone amounts to about 4 episodes of wasted runtime in an 8 episode show which then results in a rushed ending full of deus ex machina bullshit like the cannibal army.
It seems to me like the writers wanted this to be an episodic sitcom about people in hell but they were told they had to throw in a dramatic plot to keep people from falling asleep.
I agree that episode 3 and maybe episode 2 weren't needed, but episode 4 had major character development for Angel and was probably the best episode of the show. The whole fricking premise of the show is redemption so it confuses me how you think an episode all about one of the main character's personal issues wasn't necessary
because his redemption isn't actually important in the grand scheme of the show.
Stopping the extermination doesn't have anything to do with redemption, Angeldust never gets redeemed despite him being THE redemption character and in the end Pentious (whom the plot didn't focus on) gets what should be Angel's big moment.
He's one of the main characters, and the episode was major development for him and the show's getting a second season
idk what to tell you man
I know, but using half the season as setup for the next worse than even the MCU.
And Angel being the pov character for heaven instead of pentious (which will 100% happen) would be miles better.
The show makes it obvious that heaven isn't all it seems to be, but pentious is so much of a good boy that he should fit right in. Even if Angel got redeemed he'd still want to party and frick and do all the other fun things, he'd be perfect to show the bad sides of heaven.
Now that I think about it I think I worded my complaint badly, I liked the episode, it is one of the best ones in the season and ofc an angel focused episode has its place.
My complaint isn't with the episode, it's with the rest of the show not incorporating it into the overarching narrative.
The redemption theme and the extermination plotline exist next to each other instead of being connected and they both suffer for it.
>My complaint isn't with the episode, it's with the rest of the show not incorporating it into the overarching narrative.
the season was a mess because they wanted the angel extermination plotline to finish in 8 episodes while for some reason they decided to add new characters pretty much every episode
Keep episodes 1-4 roughly the same, then move the events of Episode 6 to be the finale episode. In the new episodes 5-7 spend a little time with the existing characters interacting, having some character development, maybe make Angel's redemption more of a focus as he fricks up left and right but still keeps trying. Then in the finale you can have the court scene and it feels like Angel has actually made progress, but oh no the angels don't care they're gonna be coming down in a few more months and, plot twist, Vaggie is a liar and maybe a traitor.
Then season 2 you can resolve the vaggie issue with charlie, maybe add in some flashbacks to show they're actually a couple because they sure as frick don't feel like they're a couple, then spend some time where Charlie is trying to get people together to repel the angel assault. Introduce Lucifer in season 2.
Since the jannies here aren't allowing for a general, leaving us in a constant state of half a dozen slow threads at the same time I made a HH/HB general we can use, come check it out! Address is in the pic related
>fixed Vaggie gigantic schnoze
>suddenly she's hot
Huh...
Vaggie sounded more alive in the pilot.
