Is there a such thing as a good film remake? And is there a film out there you would actually like to see remade?

dredd 2012 mogs boomer dredd
it's not a remake and it really doesn't
The Thing (1982)
The Fly (1986)
The fly 1986 is shit. Original so much better.
The 80s horror trinity
>The Thing
>The Fly
>The Blob
The thing 1951 had no blacks.
Agree with the thing, highly disagree with the fly.
the 1986 version has some premium israelite melting scenes but the vincent price one is way better as an actual movie.
The Fly (1986)
The Thing (1982)
Tcm with biel.
Hills have eyes remake.
>Oceans 11
The original with Sinatra is boring. Clooney, Pitt, Damon, etc. made a masterpiece (and then two sequels we don't talk about)
>Is there a such thing as a good film remake
The Wizard of Oz
>made a masterpiece
The new Ocean's Eleven was also boring
>The new Ocean's Eleven was also boring
It needed more Awkwafina (hot) scenes and less James Cordon, but it was still quite kino and would be good to continue the series with Oceans 9 if only to have Awkwafina maybe doing a nude scene and to confirm that Danny Ocean had faked his death.
I truly hope this was an attempt at a joke.
Why, are you a fan of James Cordon? My condolences.
no, idc about him, I was reactng to what you said about Awkwafina. Do you actually feel that way about her?
>Do you actually feel that way about her?
Most people do, she is a VERY attractive woman and the sort of person you could spend time with as a friend as well as sexing.
>is there a film out there you would actually like to see remade?
Elephants on a Spiderweb needs English remake
I love the 1950s Ben Hur (and the 1920s version), but the 2016 remake is in a lot of ways superior. The characters and story are much more sophisticated, believable, and presented a surprisingly nuanced and topical allegory for the israeli Arab conflict, with the Romans a stand in for the israelites and the israelites a standin for the Arabs.
It's not perfect, but I was really impressed by it. It does some things really well, and astonishingly managed to add a ton to the story while simultaneously being 90 minutes shorter than the 50s version. Sadly it feels like I'm literally the only person who saw it. It may have been a casualty of people being fed up with shitty remakes, sadly, because I remember at the time seeing a lot of people say "wtf is wrong with hollywood, how can you remake a classic", apparently unaware that the 1950s movie was itself a remake of what many people at that time considered one of the best movies ever made. It's kind of crazy that Ben Hur was one of the most popular American novels ever for nearly a century after its writing, but now almost no one even knows there's a book at all.
It was pretty good, Mesala redemption arc was actually a nice addition.
Unfortunately it was contemporaries with stuff like Clash of the Titans reboot, Lone Ranger, etc and suffered by association.
The Evil Dead remake was breddy gud but I have no hope that the same director will make a worthy Alien movie and taking into consideration that Merced is in the movie and looking at her track record then we know it will suck ass hard
Sexpot
Sexless
can’t believe Kiki’s big show was canceled while Moner is starring in Hollywood films
What's a Moner? Is she famous or something?
Cinemaphile is going to lose its collective mind
Why? Nobody will recognize her underneath the costume
>Moner and Cailee
Pure kino is coming.
>Kiki loses her jobs
>Moner is getting role after role
kek
>Moner and Cailee
pure smoll kino
bawd
wholesome
Looking old and scrawny
I used to like Kiki until I found out she's taking John Mayer's dick on a nightly basis.
Speaking of remakes and Kiernan Shipka.
She would've been perfect for a live action remake of Kiki's Delivery Service.
Or she could be the star in a movie adaption of the non-existent book about her struggle with men
Ben Hur
Ben Hur (with Mel Gibson as director)
congrats on replying to him and letting him derail another thread
What's stopping you?
Ahhh. I love the sound of Mercedsimp tears dropping on a keyboard. It's just so satisfying
The size of that chin
isn't Shipka a fridge? can't win with that
Vanilla sky is great
The original is better.
The Birdcage is a good film
How about movies that deserve a remake?
This and arguably Higlander. But not made these days
I'd give my left nut to see a big-budget, Apocalypse Now style version of Waltz With Bashir.
>This
Such a kino movie/story doesn't deserve a flash animated docudrama.
Kiki lost.
If you define losing as winning then yes, Kiki lost
nice clavicle
this girl makes my pp feel funny. whats that all about? whats going on here?
sexoooo
Scarface
Sorcerer
Maybe Dawn of the Dead
Kiki lost, get over it moron.
Yes, with a truckload of makeup and the help of photo manipulation even a goblina like Maisie Williams can look presentable
Cope
Built for BWC
Moaner? I barely know her!
I want to lick those pits clean
The Birdcage. I enjoyed it much more than the French original. Its literally the only movie involving gays that I like. Genuinely hilarious
Robin Williams also plays the straight man in it (not that way) for once, he gets to deadpan instead of being the wacky one.
The Producers is another good remake with Nathan Lane.
I love Nathan Lane, he was so good in The Producers on Broadway. Seen him in a few things actually.
Do scene for scene, but with different translation remakes, like Funny Games, count?
If you consider them good, sure.
the final results are in
Kiki lost
>he repeated for the 6486th time
>knowing it was a lie
It's a fact. The mog happened.
Ghostbusters(2016)
>baggy shirt on Moner
Obvious cherrypicking
we've all seen the pics from that set with moner in her bikini and she's stunning. no idea why the troll even tries.
Who's this
isabela moner
The Thing
The Fly
The Blob
2001: A Space Odyssey
Extend the HAL section to be nearly the whole film and update it to capitalize on the modern AI debate.
Intersperse the monkey stuff in with the rest of the film, told bit by bit in flashback, juxtaposed with the Save and HAL scenes. That can show that HAL's proximity to the space monolith has evolved him into a genuinely conscious being rather than just a computer program, which is what causes him to go off piste with his mission. The bit at the end where Dave goes to the monolith can be executed better too.
interesting take
She's so perfect but that tattoo is still awful. Why would she willingly bump herself from an 11/10 down to a mere 10/10? It doesn't make any sense.
Impressionable
>perfect
Old roastie in the back feeling insecure that the chad might look.
>uglyass tattoo
why?
Females are inherently low IQ, nothing you can do about it.
Doesn't matter who it is.
Nah it's pretty much just Merced and her genetically adjacent brethren who are provable lower in regards of intelligence and modesty
What an annoying b***h. Imagine going to a restaurant and paying top dollars for a meal only for a classless prostitute whose crotch leaves an odor of producer cum, turn the room into a photoshoot session
Curves
Moner is smol
>I'm from the future and let me tell you.... we lost
the 1941 version of The Maltese Falcon is a remake, and is quite obviously the definitive one
>And is there a film out there you would actually like to see remade?
Of course, but I wouldn't say it or type it in this age of all-pervasive datamining and propaganda
the industry's done enough damage to every IP with a legacy over the last 15 years
I wanna put my balls on her forehead so bad
imagine dripping your man goo on her while filing it like that
enjoy the stds
