Is there a way to "Fix" comic Spider-Gwen/Ghost Spider, or make her remotely interesting?

Is there a way to "Fix" comic Spider-Gwen/Ghost Spider, or make her remotely interesting? The problem is Marvel wants their cake, and eat it too since she's a character that is propped up by her 616 counterpart but paradoxically is nothing like her and frequently asks the reader to treat her separately. Is there a way to make her a 616 resident without it feeling contrived and entertaining? Was her universe poorly fleshed out, and if so, the changes you would make?

I'm asking because if they're dead set on pushing this redundant spider heroine the least they could do is clean things up a bit. Hell the most interesting thing about her material is her Peter Parker becoming The Lizard

    Should've been a clone of 616 Gwen
    >Gwen Stacy is dead . . . I'm her ghost.

I'm so goddamn sick of clones. They're a blight on Spidey books all things considered.

      >Is there a way to "Fix" comic Spider-Gwen/Ghost Spider, or make her remotely interesting?
The character was sold on the premise of the costume. Even I knew this shit when it got popular back in 2016.

We know that, that's the problem. She's just coomer bait thrown on covers and Marvel intentionally confuses the frick out of casuals by making her indistinguishable from the original Gwen. At this point I'm wondering if it's just better to revive Gwen (again) and say frick it. It'd be stupid, but at least coherent and giving her somewhat of a less stupid character history.

I think what really irks me is how her and Peter gloss over all the baggage they have between each other. In theory both should be incredibly awkward around one another given that they're responsible for killing their respective counterparts

they should've kept her Peter alive. Killing him off as a half baked Uncle Ben moment was dumb.

I'd rather her stay in her own universe.

Miles and Silk feel redundant because it doesn't make sense for them to have adventures a few blocks away from where Peter would be most of the time but somehow never cross paths in their own stories.

And Miles already has to share Peter's rogue gallery, so what would Gwen even have?

And worse yet I wouldn't want her to get the Ben treatment and just made into a villain for moronic reasons or Kaine where she just becomes forgotten in the sea of spiders

To be fair New York is big enough for one or two Spider people, and it already had a dense hero population anyway. I'll actually step in and defend Silk now that she's something other than a moronic coomer Slott creation now thanks to other writers. Cindy is probably the best spidey heroine available (excluding Mayday because that requires a time skip). Sure as hell can't sell Julia or Anya given what they bring to the table.

Have her and her band and Bodega Bandit permanently stuck on 616, with the band mates blaming her.
Gwen keeps trying to find a way for them to go back to 65.
Meanwhile the band plays gigs and attend college to survive on this alternate earth.

Allegory for coming of age, going off to college and leaving your home city behind.

Subplots. MJ, Betty and Glory check out their older and hetero 616 counterparts and are aghast.

Gwen has uneasy alliance with guys like Daredevil because she’s seen what an evil version can be.

Meanwhile, Koala Commander has an actual working alt-universe transporter back to 65, that Gwen is trying to obtain.

For as long as it lasted, I liked the weird dynamic she had with her dad after her identity got outed. Should just bin the character entirely now

Besides Lizard Peter, Kingpin Daredevil, and Carnage Mary Jane, was there anything interesting about Ghost Spider's reality? Was Carnage MJ evil or just possessed?

Her universe would work so much better as a proper "butterfly effect" story. How would the characters the audience knows and loves be affected if Peter never became Spider-Man, and Gwen became the superhero instead?? There's a lot of ways to go from there, really. A lot of Spidey's villains are motivated by their hatred for him specifically- so villains like Electro or Sandman would remain pretty much the same, but what about Venom, or Kraven?? Would JJJ consider Spider-Woman to be just as much of a menace?? Would Gwen cross paths with other heroes like the Avengers??

As far as a 616-verse Spider-Gwen goes, I really think that clone shenanigans or maybe some weird demon shit are the only ways to make it work...and I'm not fond of either of those ideas.

DISCLAIMER: Keep in mind this next idea/question I propose isn't based on fetish, but legitimate inquiry. With that said, would Kraven view Ghost Spider as a worthy....spouse? Normally Kraven seeks the perfect prey to hunt, but I question in this what if reality his new goal is to create the perfect hunter, even if it means siring a son.

To follow other trains of thought, what if Hobie Brown never got his act together? Became the new Electro or Sandman? J Jonah Jameson becomes The Rhino?

The hilarious and inconsistent shit that proves writers don't care or even bother with editorial? Her costume is supposed to be a artificial symbiote, and yet no one remembers or cares. It's just treated like a cloth suit

        >Can we pause for a minute and acknowledge the fact that no one cares about Harry's mom
Slott's Red Goblin story revealed she was alive all along but just faked her death and abandoned Harry. Because Norman was so evil she couldn't stay with him, but not so evil she couldn't leave her son with him.

You might reasonably expect something so stupid to get undone, for it to actually be a clone or something, but it's still canon, she even made an appearance at the start of the recent Dark Web event.

I've never read most of the comics, are any of the "Spider-Women" from the past good characters? Only one I really know is Gwen/Ghost Spider cuz she's everywhere, but I hate her and think she's obnoxious.

I like the designs for Jessica Drew, that one from the 80s that has a black suit, Spinerret (Spider-Mary Jane), and I guess technically Mania counts? But I know NOTHING about any of them. Are they good characters, do they have interesting stories...?

      See

They could, but everything they could do they already did for Mayday so there's no point.

No one actually knows what to do with them. Sure, Jess has her Avengers schtick, but also being a double agent for SHIELD and Hydra; and that's it. Then she got pregnant and went to became a kooky mom.
The one with the black suit became Madame Web and shows up every two years or so. Spinneret is out there but we haven't seen her in a while. And I think Mania became a demon or something.
Truth is, outside of Gwen and Mayday; there's no interesting bits about spider-women.

NO. And stop asking. She's a derivative non existent character.
