I agree they need new releases with large marketing to hopefully boost interest in the franchise. However,

is the worst thing you could do with LT. Tying characters who are all about over-the-top comedy to a Bible would simply restrict the scenarios and hijinx they could get themselves into.
On the other hand, I'm all for exploring series with certain levels of continuity or just experimenting, which is what the franchise gas been lacking in. Say what you want about Loonatics and Baby Looney Tunes, at least they were doing and trying things with those characters.
