I really can’t think of a single recent manga I want to read. My friends recommend an occasional anime and it always seems to be the most generic garbage. I used to love anime and manga but most series just seem like total shit now, at this point I only look into sequels or new stuff for the things I already liked because nothing else is catching me eye

From DC? Not lately. I miss DC. Everyone is part of the alphabet crew now and the stories are a mess. Maybe their version of ultimate universe will make for something interesting that they're too lazy to try in the regular universe.

Marvel? Fantastic Four has been interesting. I have to admit I've been enjoying Venom by Ewing, too. That's about it though.

Indies. Meh...there's some decent stuff. The problem with indies are they always blow their load on the first story. Stuff starts off strong and it's like the creators went in with one idea, one story, don't expect it to catch on and when it does, draw it out another year or two with garbage. I think this is honestly the worst comics have ever been.

Since when did anyone normal care about what goes on in the comics? The movies, shows, and games are what count. Don’t waste your precious time buying and reading anything from Flopcomics. If it didn’t happen in a movie or anything important with actual money behind it then it doesn’t count. So stop asking this question, there’s NOTHING at DC comics worth talking or caring about.

    Transformers
    Worldtr33

    Marvel:
    Immortal Thor
    The Incredible Hulk
    Ultimate Spider-Man
    Immortal X-Men was good

DC: DC's output has been utter trash for years, really hope they get their shit together.

      From DC

Action Comics has been really good. Jason Aaron’s 3 issue Bizarro arc was really solid and I’m interested in this Braniac event they have ongoing.

      Superman continues to be good

Jeremy Adams Green Lantern is a very strong title and it’s going to tie into PKJ’s equally good GL: War Journal

World’s Finest is a super good book as well. Waid has been doing a great job with the title and introduces a great addition to the DC universe in Thunderboy

Tom King’s Penguin book is also very good although I need to catch up on it.

I’m not sure if Joker: The Man Who Laugh’s ended, but I read like 11 issues of that straight through.

      Black Label:

      Batman Gargoyle of Gotham

      Batman City of Madness

Superman: The Last Days of Lex Luthor

I am enjoying the current run of Doctor Strange and Ultimate Spider-Man. Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 is pretty nice too, but it's being dragged down by bad art. Roxxon Presents: Thor was really funny (while hitting you with that page that took a nice dump on corporate social media) and had Greg Land put more effort into it than he's done in probably a good 20 years. Spider-Man: Shadow of the Green Goblin had a fine first issue and DeMatteis gets the characters very well, but we'll see what he does with the second/third worst Osborn related retcon (a matter of opinion if Emily being alive or Harry being a clone takes second place). You can tell I like Spidey comics lel.

I see people enjoying the current runs of Thor and FF, but I don't read them so don't take my word for it. Dunno about DC, the last thing I've read from them (that was ongoing) was Murphy's Beyond the White Knight, but I'll fully admit that's more of a guilty pleasure since the worldbuilding is kinda stupid. I don't read Indies as they come out, they tend to work better in trades.

I also realize this thread wasn't made in earnest, so go ahead and tell me all those comics are terrible.

I read Robin but I am a Damiangay so I can’t be trusted.

I heard good things about the TMNT Saturday mourning cartoon comic

I wasnt that nuts about the Damian Robin book. It’s probably because I’m older and it’s more targeted at the younger Manga audience, but I couldn’t get into it. There was nothing wrong with it per se, I just think a grown man who didn’t grow up reading manga wasn’t who was in mind when they made it.

Spurriors Flash is good. Not as good as Adams but I liked that it started slow and picked up over time.

Sounds like it sucks then because the Adams run is one if the worst pieces of capeshit I've ever read.

Not a single intelligent person is even working in comics anymore, any person with any semblance of smarts is obviously employed by more profitable industries. Talent drained and gone long time ago. morons running the show now.

That's why the stories are so batshit insane and stupid.
