writers were looking for an angle to write a plot for her, this is what they decided

Aladdin 3, 101 Dalmatians 2, Lion King 1.5, and Cinderella 3 are all good. Lion King 1.5 and Cinderella 3 are all silver screen-tier in both writing and animation.
So what was this guy's canonical intent, anyway? Like as an expiriment? Was he basically just the prototype to Stitch with all his powers but given too much intellect to the point where he had the free will to choose not to use them but rather peruse a different passion? Wouldn't that make Stitch a downgrade in some cases? Intelligence is a lot harder to instill than pure strength

It makes it really lame to think he just instantly pumped out a buncha crap that was just as intelligent but it was all used to do shit like bake beans or scratch his nutsack or whatever

Being a Stitch fan for the longest time, it's genuinely so fascinating to me watching it evolve over the years. Way back in the day when I first discovered that there was a separate anime for Stitch, I was bewildered. Over the years, and for the longest time, all you would see is merchandise for Stitch, but then at some point Angel starting to pick up in popularity, no doubt because of Japan, and now the two are practically always seen with one another, despite her being relatively obscure and exclusively from the TV show.
Japan loves these types of boy-girl mascot duos. Doraemon+doremi, atom+uran, a lot of sanrio shit, stitch+angel makes a lot of sense for their market that already likes stitch and just needed to know angel existed.
Hell, their obsession with pachinko makes me believe they would 100% have a gacha for experiments if all 600+ of them had official designs.
I'm still here. I just haven't had much time to draw and drawing Stitch and his family is a bit harder than I thought. Still, if the thread survives, I hope I can deliver something.
