>better story, better acting, better dialogue
God, no. Which piece of dialogue from these movies will be remembered? People hardly discuss the "story" which is borderline non-existent. Maybe compared to the worst of the MCU. > Better action
And that's the only thing you're right about.
yeah which is bizarre and the reason that the first movie which one of the best movies ever, has 60% reviews or some shit. Malding boomers didn't like how the character from their childhood was portrayed for a new audience (sound familiar, Cinemaphile homosexuals?)
You will have noticed that the industry as a whole is suffering and studios etc have started pulling out desperate moves like putting each other's stars to say go see the other movie, because if the whole industry could die, competition is no longer the name of the game but survival. You know who else is out of a job without the industry is critics and something smells just a bit off in how giddy and effusive the praise for this is especially given the whole "Tom, savior of Cinema as a concept" narrative. I feel like they may have been begged or threatened but also there are red tomato reviews that you can click on and read which aren't actually positive so 'the fix' may have just gone in at the aggregator site level
Stories of MI movies have the same motive: >MC and team do cool spy thing as intro to show-off >Villain does thing to frick them up >"Oi, goverment can't help you on this one. You're alone. Godspeed" >MC and CO try to figure out how to get to villain and stop his plan >Tom Cruise climbs something to show-off >Find him but can't stop his plan >"We have a minute to stop him or else the world ends" >Tom Cruise does a stunt and stops villain's plan with 00:01 time remaining. >"The goverment will never forget what you did today MC"
but I ain't gonna lie, I find these more entertaining than 99% of capeshit...
>hair is thinning
His looks are fading
im sure he has enough cash for a quick hair transplant, you can’t bruise the cruise baby
>quick hair transplant
It takes a year before it looks normal if you are lucky. First step of hair transplant is you lose all your hair
Can’t wait for grandpa Cruise cowboy kino
I just hope he doesn't die during his space filming
He's looking better as he gets older to be honest.
>Hair is thinning at 61
Oh no, it's clearly over for him.
I swear people on Cinemaphile are more insecure and looks obsessed than teenage girls for some reason
All he needs to do now is die in a stunt accident to cement his legacy
Honestly it's the best way. Can you imagine if Dave overdosed after Rust In Peace?
Men can't hit the wa-
>Sees those jowls
Oh no...
try menstruating past 40, b***h
>It’s now at 98%
Cruise sisters…
How is this better than your average Marvel movie? They're both braindead trash.
better story, better acting, better dialogue, better action
it's literally better in every single way
>better story, better acting, better dialogue
God, no. Which piece of dialogue from these movies will be remembered? People hardly discuss the "story" which is borderline non-existent. Maybe compared to the worst of the MCU.

And that's the only thing you're right about.
Nope. They're about the same for all 4.
It's not woke?
It is a franchise that organically sprang up, similar to John Wick. No grand designs were present at the onset
Mission Impossible existed before Tom Cruise.

Marvel movies are trash. MI movies are mediocre action films but with a handful of big stunts. That puts them ahead.
Will we fet a full frontal sex scene with Rebecca? That's all I care about.
Tom won't surpass the real capeshit killer
Fast X came out?
That isn’t Avatar
The real competitor is Fast X
>It's been six years since Tom Cruise was in a movie that he didn't produce himself
Why won't they cast him?
Xenu will stop him once we free him from his prison.

>literally capeshit except with scientology
Age will stop him
>traditional action movie with white cis lead and no demoralization theme
When will Hollywood come for him?
mission impossible 2 sucked and i haven't watched another since. stop making sequels of everything for fricks sake.
>mission impossible 2 sucked
that's the best one though pure woo kino
The movies get progressively better it’s weird cuz that doesn’t happen with any other franchise. Fallout is easily one of the best action movies ever
Brian de Palma directed the first Mission Impossible. He also directed Carrie and Mission to Mars. Wtf.

I just wish they could bring back Samuli into the movies.
