They'll make bad web comics on twitter that become the monthly whipping boy, and then become the main character trying to damage control before fading into irrelevance. Maybe one might end up on gumroad or some shit, maybe one might get put in papers, but that's a maybe.
such pessimism. There's plenty of young male readers of shonen who will want to make comics.

It's fundamentally the same medium. There's inevitably gonna be influence going in both directions. Acting like you can cleanly divorce American comics from Japanese comics (or comics from any other country) is quite silly.
I have read Manga all my life and I think the way they do things is miles better, not so necessarily due to an inherent quality but by accessibility and diversification.
That said, there is such a things a market, and there is such a thing as American Comics, and there are plenty of people that read one thing and not the other. It makes sense to ask "what's next for this dying market?" and this particular instance is exactly the point at which you can look at each thing individually.
What even is this?
Looks like one of those worthless twat goblins employed at one of the last newspapers on earth who's only got a job because sucks enough dick.
There's countless good American comics coming out right now. You just don't read comics. >inb4 you ask me for a list so you can say they're all bad
I'll post a list if you reply with what comics you're reading right now. You must be reading some, if you know they're "all bad."
You're doing the same thing. If I write a list of current comics I've read and found shit, you'll say I wasn't qualified. If I prove I was qualified and still found them to be shit, you'll just say I have shit taste.
I've played this game before. There's no incentive for me.
I've played the part where someone lists good comics that I'm not reading, I go read them, and none of them are good.
I've also gone and listed comics I've read that I didn't think were any good, and get told I'm the one with shit taste, sometimes after being called a liar or being told I don't know what I'm talking about. You poor fricks are so desperate for any little crumb of comics pussy, you become uber simps for bad corporate product. >Are you autistic?
Only autismos ever ask this question.
Sure. The people saying it's all over are people who don't read comics or manga anyway
What does manga have to do with american comics apart from dominating the shit out of them on their own market?
kids who read manga will grow up wanting to make comics.
Sadly, most of them will end publishing shitty romance comics at webtoons

kek
Is there more Dick Tasty comics? He’s the based mother fricker we need right now.
Sure.
When my comic gets published, it'll push everyone's shit in.
Why don't you push my shit now uwu

Can't wait to see where Dilbert is going now that it's no longer confined to newspapers.
Kayfabians were right when they said this missed the mark on copying Chester Gould's style
Yeah. It doesn't look like it. Though I also wonder how recognizable Dick Tracy is these days anyway.
Those Gould comics seem to get constant reprints so they are relatively popular
The last vestiges of hope for the Big Two went out the window with 9/11.
But there's a ton of great comics being published by other publishers.
The current Dick Tracy comic actually looks pretty good.
It's fricking pay walled online though.

You've made several threads on the comic board to whine about comics being dead? Are you autistic?

What comics do you read anon? This is the comics board, surely you want to discuss comics right?
I mostly read Euro comics these days.
Capes have been dead to me for some time, but when I do dip my wick in the genre, it's a let down every time.
So you can't name any American comics you read despite making a thread about how they suck?
I can, but I didn't make this thread.
So you just decided to butt into my inquiry to OP? Frick off.
You should have DM'd the OP if you wanted a private chat.
Sure, OP
Sounds fake.
It's all over.
