Its overrated. Arthoes and snobs will claim kubrik is a genius though.
Kubrick is a genius.
The ending fricking sucks, Alex should have been killed but apart from it it's cool
Why should he have been killed? In the UK version of the book Alex grows up and renounces violence of his own free will.
>Literally brainwashed
>own free will
Lmao
Don't they reverse the Ludovico Technique so he's cured of his artificial aversion to violence?
The reverse the ludovico technique in the book too, dumbass 😉
No, the ending was perfect. Kubrik wanted to show that no amount of brainwashing can truly change the beast of human nature. It will always find its way out
>teehee, he just grew out of his raping and murdering
Correct.
“I was CURED” is a perfect ending.
Once again, Cinemaphile proves that despite not understanding the most basic of narratives, they are all but content with shitting on a movie. Black person, it's in the title.
both
Kubricks filmography is my favorite. Every movie has something to it.
It's a cool movie go for it.
FOOOOOOD ALRIGHT!!!!!
TRY THE DEW
everybody in this movie is doing the "IM ACTING!!" meme
it was filmed at a time when curry was only just arriving in the UK
It's a dystopian satire.
It's a great, memorable movie, this old man is funny as frick and it's got very quotable scenes. Only redit gays don't like it.
i never watched it but i've read the book, and from my experience the bought would've been absolute slop if not for the way it was written (the newspeak).
it is overrated but still a good movie and definitely worth a watch
It's edgelord shit worth watching.
It was a GOAT contender but it hasn’t aged well over the past ten or twenty years compared to the first thirty.
A Clockwork Orange was my first "artsy" kino and basically introduced me to cinema, back when I only watched action movies and anime. It's one of those movies I watched as a teenager and enjoyed it and watched it years later thinking maybe it wasn't that good but it turns out yes it's that good. One of my favorite films.
I had a similar experience with it.
It is a journey into the very depths of the human psyche, a tale of free will and the consequences of its suppression, a work of art that will leave an indelible mark upon your soul, should you dare to witness its unfolding.
It made a great impression on me as a teenager. I even started using the nadsat slang, c**t that I was.
It's edgelord bullshit that's actually worth watching.
Zoomers are fricking scum. Go watch Avengers you fricking pleb.
Yeah it's great, watch it and make up your own mind. It's definitely a very unique/memorable movie, worth watching at least once. It sort of ruined the song "Singin' in the Rain" for me though.
>It sort of ruined the song "Singin' in the Rain" for me though.
the frick?
If anything it gave me a fun song to sing when raping foids
One of the greatest movies ever made
Worth it
There is simply no way that a movie about people who look like this isn't cringy edgelord bullshit. I've literally never seen a screenshot of the MC in this movie that isn't him glaring upwards while he tips his head down with his homosexualy bowler cap just barely keeping his eyes visible. Idc what any of the homosexuals on this board say, this is a homosexual movie for sure.
worth watching one time for sure
especially if you like Kubrick
OP is a gay. Next time watch the movie before you make the thread
It's one of the greatest movies of all time.
Worth watching once to understand other things that reference it.
>Is this actually worth watching or is it just edgelord bullshit?
Edgelord bullshit is in the eye of the beholder, many such cases.
For me, its the lady in red
It's a great movie but Kubrick raped the source material just as much as The Shining.
