I think Saw X has a chance to be the highest grossing movie in the series. Hope that it is so that we can get more movies and they have the financial leeway to branch out and get experimental. Even the expanded cinematic universe idea that some people have talked about would be cool.
I can't remember the last time a Saw movie had an iconic trap to lead with like this. The visuals team really deserves kudos for this. Didn't want to and not trying to do a pun, but it's super eye catching. With people heading back to the theaters, Barbie and Oppenheimer doing great this summer, and the economy heading in the right direction, the stars could be aligning for Saw X to set series records.
You just know they're going to have some kind of cool twist to bring it from the Saw 1/2 setting into the present. It's the perfect setup for a left field twist that completely recontextualizes the Saw canon.
