No. In fact it is less funny than usual, it hasn't been funny for going on 15 seasons, and I'm being generous. 7 days to air didn't really make South Park look impressive to me, it just validated my belief that Trey and Matt don't give a shit anymore as 7 days is not nearly enough time to put out a quality cartoon even from something as basic as a writing standpoint.
>7 days is not nearly enough time to put out a quality cartoon even from something as basic as a writing standpoint
And yet, South Park as a whole is by far and away the greatest animated comedy series of all time. So your point is pretty moot.

By what metric? Up to like season 9 sure, but I can think of a dozen modern animated shows off the top of my head that are funnier than current South Park. In fact I would go so far as to say on a whole, if we go by average episode, American Dad is consistently better than South Park.
Unironically one of the worst things theyve ever made
They fact that they made a 900 fricking million dollar deal for future episodes and specials and this is the best they deliver is absolutely insane to me
Theyve been hit and miss for over a decade but went full moron during drumpf and never recovered and its just one character destruction after another or stupid apology for jokes they made when the show was actually good
I am sick and tired of these shows from the 90s/00s who havent been good for 20 years still getting money thrown at them just for the old brand name recognition because thats all that shit is if this were a new show it would be off the air within a season
Canon ending to south park for me is "you are getting old"
agreed, the only good episode in a long while was the Randy Savage pretending to be a woman episode, it showed real balls on their part. Its too bad these guys seem to have lost their edge.
Trey park had a midlife crisis and divorced his japanese wife and ended up marrying a mutt stripper with black son had a daughter with her and is now divorced
Its exactly during that time frame where the humor went to shit and they went low key woke
jfc, I never knew that. It makes a lot more sense now. A divorce ruined one of my favorite authors too, Jim Butcher. The Dresdin Files took a 6 year break during his divorce and everything he has made after has been of noticeably lesser quality and now smacks of money grab
I assume the whole cringe shit with heidi and cartman was trey literally projecting his relationship issues onto the show
All the seasons during trump felt so weird with no direction or reason. The biggest issue was their ego getting in the way they refused to get rid of the garrison trump character and just put in real trump which they could have made fun of instead garrison did some over the top stupid shit and then the audience is supposed to clap and pretend its just like drumpf irl
>A divorce ruined one of my favorite authors too, Jim Butcher. The Dresdin Files took a 6 year break during his divorce and everything he has made after has been of noticeably lesser quality
HOLY SHIT
THIS EXPLAINS EVERYTHING
I found Dresden between 2010 and 2012 and binged everything, and eagerly awaited the next book and forgot. By the time I wondered where it was, it came out in the past year and it was just shite.
Just frickin wow, that makes me sad. It's too bad Dresden will never live up to the books Butcher churned out during 06 to 10, frick I'm sad now.
Yeah I am pretty bummed out by it too, Dresdin was some amazing kino writing. I even liked the universally panned Ghost Stories book and have found his current stuff almost unreadable. The characters are just completely different and have none of their likability anymore.
>turn on some Comedy Central because I'm at a hotel >South Park episode where "the Whites" are the primary antagonists and become gigantic penises at the end >Whites are out of touch racists >Extreme Orange Man Bad sentiments
This show is awesome guys
This was what started the downfall to me, as I really still loved South Park up until all the stupid Trump shit. But then
The show fell apart when they castrated cartman turning him into a b***h
I think the special where they made Cartman a israelite the whole time (haha so funny!!) and then a homeless crackhead loser broke the show for me. It just completely broke it, they lost the plot.
Randy being a weed farmer could have been great and a ongoing joke.
Like randy gets the farm and thinks its gonna be easy and just partying and getting high but reality hits and its just one problem after another turning him from a weed lover to a weed hater
Why they went this hard with the farm for so many seasons just to once again end up apologizing like b***hes is what i dont get
Not really
OMG guyz…
did you kno that Cartman LITERALLY fed a kid’s parents to him in a bowl of chili??????
ZOMG!!!!!!
SO CRAZY, WACKY, and WILD!!!!
Just like Pickle Rick
Anon you sound like a little crybaby. No one likes crybabies you know.
Yes, the only adult cartoon that's still fun
>fun = making a joke that isn't funny the first time and repeating it dozens more times throughout the episode
inb4 "it's supposed to not be funny"
r34 on booba cartman where?

Name one(1) single American Dad joke to ever enter the popular lexicon/zeitgeist
I can name many Family Guy jokes that dis that, more than South Park in fact. Does that make Family Guy better than South Park?
name one current sp joke that has entered the popular lexicon
Lorde being Randy Marsh
Name one besides Peter opening the door and Peter saying ow a lot
Anon…the lorde shit was like 8 years ago
8 years in the 2010s-2020s is like 2 years in any other decade
>Lorde being Randy Marsh
aired 8 years ago. Hardly current. Also that was not something that entered the lexicon.
Again, how did this enter the lexicon? Nobody I know has ever made this comment.
>nobody I know
Bravo... regardless I agree South Park is irrelevant
this proves nothing, other than some moron created a wiki for the term.
Chin-diaper was coined by a regular commenter on the Steve Sailer blog on Unz.com
Peter, Stewie, Quagmire, and Joe pantomimes have all been hugely popular at different times.
chin diapers
Aaaaand it's gone

STELIOIS
No, social commentary has rarely ever been funny. It's why hardly anyone remembers any lines from this show in the past decade.
better does not equal more popular

Probably has alimony to pay
Not a problem with all of that "frick you" money they got after signing that latest contract.

i just saw it
i watched them from 90s on vhs
what fricking sellouts pushing this fake climate change propaganda
should've known after the covid special
I surprisingly enjoying Fractured But Whole, I thought it would be Stick of Truth but worse.
Could never finish that game it was so boring. Liked the stick of truth however
Why don't they show anything on comedy central anymore?
>turn on some Comedy Central because I'm at a hotel
>South Park episode where "the Whites" are the primary antagonists and become gigantic penises at the end
>Whites are out of touch racists
>Extreme Orange Man Bad sentiments
This show is awesome guys
Genxers are just like boomers they grew up in white america and mostly out of touch with the modern world
Why even make this exclusive to Paramount plus? No one uses that crap except Normies.
The show fell apart when Comedy Central wouldn't let them cast Trump as Trump.
The show fell apart when they castrated cartman turning him into a b***h
The entire show lost its edge because of Comedy Central conforming to the new social purity nonsense.
This was what started the downfall to me, as I really still loved South Park up until all the stupid Trump shit. But then

All the characters are no longer themselves. Cartman would never end up on the streets. He might die as a fat pig but not a loser
this and bill burr at red rocks special made me hate "american comedy" as a whole
americans are not funny and are incapable of being funny
Unpopular opinion
