Interesting but hard to follow.
It's a lot like that movie The Butterfly Effect but with more schizophrenia (since you go for a ride trying to figure out which of the alternate lives is the authentic one).
I'd recommend Predestination over this one.
it's mid. it's one of a long line of sci-fi movies that only uses sci-fi as a setting for a conventional human story about LE LOVE and LE SEX.
i suppose if i fricked juno temple i'd be pretty chill too.
I didn't like the style. Like the french unfunny corporate comedy style (not the acutal funny french style) and Jared Leto isn't a good mix. It's just really annoying.
How hard the movie hits depends on how much regret you are living with. I don't recall it being a great film, but I struggled personally after watching it as it led to me re-evaluating different decisions I made and wondering what could have been.

Cinemaphile is the only place where you can find these dumb tryhard posts at. How is it not a great movie if it had a big impact on you and made you re-evaluate your life?
It's 2.5 hours, and a lot of it is repetitive for a relatively simple story. They insist on showing you the same flashbacks 5 times. Like this movie could be half as long as be much better. In fact, I really want to take that up as a small editing project.
Is fine, well shot and all. Issue is that it’s pretentious as FRICK. Everything Leto says has 8-D chess importance bruv and if you get confused by the poorly implemented non-linear timeline, or tune out because of the stilted dialogue and lack of story then you just, like, you know, don’t get it.
I remember seeing an ad for it and it looks really interesting. So far, the running time is keeping me from watching it but I'm sure I'll tackle later on this year.
I liked it

Made me fall in love with Juno Temple
The secret love between the two was pretty good.
science fiction segments are ok but the rest is not
same situation as Cloud Atlas i only liked the future setting and the rest put me to sleep.
DAYDREAM
it's okay, but not great

watched it as a teenager and it blew my mind. not in a good way, sorta just a really long movie
I remember not caring for it.

It's decent, but forgetable. Would have been great if they casted
Someone more competent instead of Leto and the end wasnt bullshit
Made me wish for the loose stepsister I never had
Some of the most pretentious schlock I've ever seen.

One of my all-time favorites. It's surprisingly underrated in my books. Thought it was well acknowledged kino.

He is literally me. I also make no choices out of fear and remain stationary in life.
it's the definition of "pretentious"
