>sell pixar to disney >Apple decides to buy disney very cheap >pixar is what made disney a billion dolar company >pixar is also what made disney stock tank
Steve Jobs dies before his master plan was fulfilled
Disney is around 150 billion in net worth. Apple is around 2.8 trillion. Net worth isn’t everything with an acquisition, but when the gap is THAT big it’s clear that it’s feasible at least in regards to size and money.
This. Disney is sooner to be sliced up then sold wholesale
A partnership makes way more sense. Have Apple TV+ merge into Disney+ or have Apple TV+ subscribers have access to all of Disney+ with ads or a discount to the service.
Iger's running for president in '28 or '32 if he can get major party support turning around Disney will help.
It's already happening with ESPN, they've already bought an east coast superbook chain to get in to sports gambling.
>you will live to see everything be consolidated under Apple and Amazon
Gee if only we had done something about this in the last 10 years. Oh well. I'll simp for blacks and troons that should help
>apple puts a sleeper agent in disney >sleeper agent makes disney go full clown mode >value of the company tanks >apple says it's time and activates the agent >"disney is looking for buyers"
There’s two major pitfalls to the Apple buys Disney argument
1. Disney itself can’t exist under its current operations, and the company is so large it would take Apple most of its money and efforts just to run it, taking focus away from their core products
2. Apple is very conservative with acquisition and really doesn’t do them at all even with the money they have. Their buggiest acquisition was Beats for 3 billion, this would be at least a 100 billion purchase
Apple might buy parts but not all, the more likely outcome is Disney either sells off pieces or does a company split. As long as they hold onto mainline Disney, Pixar, the parks, Marvel and Disney+ everything else can be split or sold to keep the company as it should be
Assuming apple is the only potenital buyer though, theres a lot of other bigger fish willing to buy it. Disney could just sell off the bleeding parts & sell the finalized part.
A sale, or merely rumors of a sale, would push Disney stock prices up because acquisition premiums are roughly 30%. i.e. if a stock is worth $100, the purchase company may offer $130 for it.
Whatever the validity of this rumor, their is an incentive for certain people to spread it, especially stockholders who want to stop Disney's falling stock price, which has gone from $197 in March 2021 to $80 today.
People have been talking about Apple buying Disney for like a decade.

What an horrible time to ligma
I think it's a thread promoting a dumbshit blog.
We really don't fricking know. Ask again after Hulu is resolved.
Lmao. Disney is far bigger than Apple.
No??
Not for a good while.

how can you be worth trillion of dollars and still make subpar devices
because people will buy them regardless
>laughing_Satania.png
The goal is not to make the best devices, the goal is to make the cheapest device that people will still fork over premium dollars for.
Are you insane
>Lmao. Disney is far bigger than Apple.
Lmao indeed.
Why not just merge the two megacorps into a gigacorp? At last that is an attainable standard for Bobby.
Apple is bigger than you think. I too got surprised to learn it's worth trillions while I never bought any of their devices.
not alot of people have to buy them when their products cost about a thousand a piece
everyone needs iDevices anon... not everyone needs a baby yoda plushies...
Apple alone is over ten times the size of the entire film industry anon
Doubt. Source needed.

Would apple want to deal with running Disney?
This. Disney is sooner to be sliced up then sold wholesale
A partnership makes way more sense. Have Apple TV+ merge into Disney+ or have Apple TV+ subscribers have access to all of Disney+ with ads or a discount to the service.
>why would anyone want the company with the most IPs on the market?!
I think you are dumb.
It's really depressing how media companies are now valued primarily for the IPs they own
I hope so, Disney is abusing too many loopholes in antitrust laws. That goes for any IRL megacorp, or else The Gilded Age will commence again.
SNOW WHITE, NO!
Underrated
Yes, Iger is a hack

If Bob Iger's master plan is to be more hated than Michael Eisner, he's doing a great job so far.
I've heard that Disney might sell ESPN.

He'll sell it off in two more weeks.
I like how any implication that Disney is doing bad causes Cinemaphiletrannies to dilate
