No because other women in the Avatar universe pre-Korra got far far more power than Azula ever had and didn't go crazy. Azula is just crazy, Iroh even outright says it.

She had power her entire life though. Just because she didn't have the most power doesn't mean she had none.

There are exactly two outcomes for women who get power and riches.

Power Madness and Borderline Insanity Ala Azula, or giving in to innate female laziness and hedonism and blowing up into obesity

Honestly the show has a pretty inconsistent approach to mental issues in general.

I get that by responding I have become part of the problem but just why? Why do any of you respond? Op clearly does not give a damn. Nothing is genuine, so why do you respond?

        >I've been watching too many feminism videos on YouTube
Why would you do that to yourself? Masochistic.
That's a good way to get radicalized to the incel to troony pipeline.

Azula has constant mood swing due her periods, reflecting women's unstable nature.
In the beginning of season 2 she wants to kill Zuko.
When she is given a chance to kill Zuko, she instead offers to pardon him.
She doesn't seem to be bothered how she loses the position of heir presumptive to Zuko.
But when Zuko leaves and Ozai appoints her, she is happy and doesn't want to give it back to Zuko.

If Sozen's comet had come a few weeks earlier or later, Azula might have shifted sides.

To be fair, Azula works with Zuko because killing the Avatar is a bigger prize than killing or capturing Zuko. Then, when there's a chance that the Avatar is alive, then that becomes a certainity, it works to her advantage to let Zuko take the credit. If Zuko manages to kill Aang quietly, nothing changes. Azula will still likely be the power behind the throne for years, even after Ozai dies. If he doesn't, Zuko alone takes the fall for lying to Ozai.

Also, she does love her brother, but years of abuse have twisted that love pretty severely.
