Is this show worth watching?
I just finished season 1 and it seems entertaining enough
It reminds me of the manga and anime I liked when I was 15 years old, all of those seinen I thought were deep and mature
I don't like the editing and some of the acting is cringe
From what I see online season 3 is a disaster so not sure that I want to go through with it all

The first few seasons are pretty engaging and good, then the show falls off and becomes utterly moronic. It's alright NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS.

The first two seasons are really good. They really jumped the shark at the end of season 2 and during season 3, but it has some great moments and the ending is satisfying enough.

It's distilled kino. Watch it auf Deutsch with subs, not the awful dub. If you don't pay attention and doom scroll Cinemaphile then you won't be able to figure out what's going on and that's half the fun.
I hear a lot of complaints about Season 3 and though it doesn't quite hit the peaks of the first 2 it's still a cut above 90% of series finales.
If you like Twin Peaks or Pathologic then you'll love Dark. It could appeal to Lost or Leftovers fans but it's certainly a more difficult watch. I can understand why people might find it pretentious but you can tell it was a labour of love for the showrunners.
