Hopefully not. They already have HOTD and The hedge knight. Why disregard existing, well written stories and just make some shitty soap opera/GOT season 8 tier slop? HOTD season 1 is better than all of game of thrones so far. Stick to the source material and stop writing fan fiction slop that is universally hated.
GOT begins going downhill as early as season 2. If you dont believe me re-watch it. I did. The changes to rob's character, Shae in general, the useless side plots and the whole dany quarth sub-plot (im sure it was in the book too but it feels so stripped down and basic, also the budget is so small that quarth feels like it has like 12 people in it).
I would go as far to say that HOTD season 1 is better than GOT season 1 too. Both are great but i think the budget HOTD has allows it to have a much better scale and better details such as the israeliteellery and sets.

I think the direction overall is better than in Thrones, the lighting and cinematography of HotD blows most of the stuff in GOT out of the water.
